We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and adaptable Senior Clinical Project Manager within our Clinical Operations team who will lead the conduct and execution of one or more clinical trials from study start-up to study closure with support or direction from an Associate Director/Director of Clinical Operations. 

In this role, you will:

• Lead all aspects of clinical trial execution for one or more programs from IND through proof-of-concept and pivotal studies
• Plan and oversee implementation, coordination, and execution of global clinical trials including, but not limited to, oversight of study budgets, financial reporting, and forecasting in collaboration with Clinical Outsourcing
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional study teams, CROs, clinical investigators, and clinical trial stakeholders
• Manage clinical trial operations and lead study teams, including CROs and vendors, and reporting of start-up, conduct, and close-out activities

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field
• 8+ years of experience in a clinical operations role in the biopharmaceutical industry, with at least 3+ years experience in leading clinical trials and project management within a biotech organization required 
• Early phase (Phase 1, 2) oncology experience at a biotech/Sponsor is required 
• Demonstrated experience organizing and leading clinical study teams
• Preferred Skills: proficiency managing timelines, tasks, milestones working in SmartSheet or similar project management software

You will join a cross-functional team of software engineers, data scientists, AI/ML scientists and drug discovery biologists and chemists who build the technical bedrock that enables autonomous science, including agent orchestration, guardrails, and the connectivity between our digital and physical assets. You will work closely with the Discovery teams (the users of these agents), the AI Research teams (who build cutting-edge models), and our automated biology and chemistry lab teams (who generate the data that feeds into the models).

The Experience You’ll Need

• Background in Drug Discovery or AI-driven Science: You have direct experience working in drug discovery, biotech, or AI-driven scientific research. Ideally, you will have worked hands-on with agentic systems (or agents) in a scientific context. You can credibly partner with PhD-level scientists and translate between scientific goals and technical systems without losing fidelity on either side.
• Fluency in Modern AI: You don't need to be an engineer, but you follow the AI landscape closely and understand how LLMs and agentic systems actually work in practice. Bonus points if you've benchmarked an agent(s) or worked hands-on with agentic tools, even outside a formal work context.
• Experimentation-First Mindset: You have a natural instinct for working through rapid prototyping cycles, whether in a product, research, or scientific context. You'd rather run a quick experiment than write a long spec.

Our group is a bold, agile, diverse collective of computational drug discovery scientists deeply focused on the singular goal of bringing new therapeutics into the clinic at an accelerated pace. We are a computational group that spans precision oncology, I&I (immunology and inflammation), and neuroscience and focuses on advancing novel, targeted therapies for these disease areas. We partner closely with our biologists and medicinal chemists to design and execute impactful and decisional data analysis for multiple programs. We are responsible for data strategy across the portfolio and supported by computational leadership in designing scalable and reproducible experiments that serve to advance multiple programs within the portfolio. 

Our team collaborates extensively with computational biologists in other therapeutic areas (neurobiology, immunology, etc.) as well as data scientists and engineers from our core platform teams to provide a strong network of feedback and support.

• PhD in a quantitative field (Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Cancer Biology, etc.) with 5+ years of experience in biotech or pharma industry OR MS in a relevant field and 7+ years of experience in biotech or pharma industry solving fundamental problems in oncology or drug discovery.
• People Management Experience: Proven track record of managing and developing direct reports within a scientific or technical environment.
• Oncology Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of cancer biology, including experience with biomarker discovery and patient population stratification.

About This Role 

Axsome Therapeutics is currently searching for a Regional Business Director (RBD) to lead commercial activities for an assigned geography, establish a team of Account Managers, execute marketing strategies, and ensure a successful promotion of SYMBRAVO, an oral acute migraine medication. The RBD will be primarily responsible for the supervision and leadership of an industry shaping, uniquely structured salesforce leveraging the use of a highly sophisticated digital infrastructure. All RBDs will be aligned to geographical territories and assume full ownership of driving sales within the region.

The RBD is responsible for sales performance at a Region level and is expected to be a product champion and exhibit the business knowledge of the local landscape to assess key stakeholders plus future trends within the marketplace. This is a cross-functional front-line leader role that will focus on the launch of our new Migraine medication. As a computational biology specialist on our Target ID team, you will be at the forefront of transitioning Recursion to its next era of drug discovery. You will serve as a critical biological anchor for a highly technical data science team building the next generation of our target discovery pipelines.

The team’s mission is to identify novel therapeutic targets at scale across the genome for hundreds of indications. You will have access to all of Recursion's data layers—including massive internal maps, functional genomics, and rich patient data (transcriptomics, genetics, and Real-World Data/EHR)—and will be tasked with proposing, piloting, and deploying new methods to integrate these datasets.

Crucially, you will leverage your biological subject matter expertise to orient and focus your data scientist and software engineer peers towards reliable and correct usage of biological data and feasible candidate programs. As a key member of Recursion's partnership-facing data science team, you will be at the forefront of reimagining drug discovery from first principles using Recursion’s massive data and compute capabilities. As senior computational biologist, you will be supporting a portfolio of partnership preclinical drug programs and be responsible for designing and executing analyses to support target nomination, validation, and early programs in neuroscience diseases.

You will integrate layers of Recursion platform data (phenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, etc) to validate the link between target and disease biology and to propose targets and early programs in novel areas of neuroscience. You will partner with biologists and medicinal chemists to build supporting data packets for targets from our phenomic maps, target screens, and partnered patient data sets. You will also collaborate with computational scientists from across the organization to develop, deploy, and scale novel approaches to: 1) translational validation in hit to lead, 2) mechanism-of-action identification/de-risking, and 3) build evidence for patient connectivity to match the targets we are validating and medicines we are creating to the patients who need them.

We are a computational group that spans precision oncology, neuroscience, and I&I (immunology and inflammation), and focuses on advancing novel, targeted therapies for these disease areas. We partner closely with our biologists and medicinal chemists to design and execute impactful and decisional data analysis for multiple programs. We are responsible for data strategy across the portfolio and supported by computational leadership in designing scalable and reproducible experiments that serve to advance multiple programs within the portfolio.
