Role: Certified Payroll Coordinator- Temporary

MIH is hiring a Temporary Certified Payroll Coordinator on a 3-month contract to support payroll compliance and reporting for prevailing wage projects. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely certified payroll reporting while partnering closely with Service Managers, Payroll, and Operations teams. You’ll work alongside our teams in the Mid-Atlantic region. 

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

· Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws, including Davis-Bacon Act requirements

· Manage certified payroll reporting requirements across NJ, NY, PA, and DE (multi-state experience highly preferred)

· Review project contracts to determine prevailing wage applicability and requirements

· Partner with Service Managers to gather accurate job and labor data for weekly reporting

· Assist with weekly payroll calculations related to prevailing wage classifications, fringe benefits, and job costing

· Audit payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance

· Maintain organized and compliant payroll records and documentation

· Communicate proactively with Payroll and Operations to resolve discrepancies or questions

Requirements:

· Previous experience in dispatching, customer service, or a related role, ideally within the HVAC or a similar industry.

· Strong understanding of prevailing wage laws and certified payroll reporting

· Familiarity with Davis-Bacon and multi-state reporting requirements (NJ, NY, PA, DE preferred; all states a plus)

· Previous experience supporting HVAC projects, contracts, or service operations preferred

· Working knowledge of basic payroll calculations and reporting processes

· High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

· Ability to handle confidential payroll data with discretion and professionalism

Lead Mechanical Engineer - Utilities & Building Systems

The salary for this position is between $140,000-$170,000, contingent upon the candidate’s experience and demonstrated technical proficiency.

We’re seeking a full-time mechanical engineer to lead our expanding team and contribute to the design and management of mechanical and piping projects in the pharmaceutical and food & beverage industries.

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be driven to lead projects and a team independently and have experience in developing conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs, drawings, and specifications for the following services:

• HVAC systems
• Chilled water systems
• Heating system
• Plumbing

Other responsibilities:

• Mentor and grow the mechanical team.
• Manage contracts and clients for MEP projects.
• Manage and quality review of deliverables and project execution (estimated 50% of workload).
• Mechanical such as HVAC, hydronic and steam systems design (estimated 50% of workload).
• Assess the requirements of projects, break them into tasks, and work with the Project Managers to determine the scope of work, budget, and staffing.Write the scope of work for mechanical or utility design based on preliminary review and meetings with the clients.
• Prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems and analyze the operation of existing systems.
• Expectation to be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Experience in engineering consulting in the agrifood, bioindustrial, F&B, and/or pharmaceutical industries.
• 8+ years of design engineering experience, preferably within the design consulting space.
• Knowledge of HVAC system design and experience with central utilities including steam, chilled water and compressed air systems.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical codes and standards including ASHRAE & ACGIH
• Familiarity with ISPE and HACCP requirements
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD & Revit

The HVAC Service Technician specializes in the start-up and service of equipment for a variety of applications of air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control and energy management. We are searching for both experienced and entry-level HVAC technicians to help support the growing service business. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, be dependable and have good customer service skills. This role would service our NYC Metro area. 

Requirements:

• 5+ years Field experience with commercial heating and air conditioning.
• Must have knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, water source heat pumps & rooftop packaged HVAC systems.
• EPA Type 1 & 2 of universal certification
• Must have your own hand tools.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• OSHA 10-hour training certification (preferred).

Estimated Salary: $24/hr - $50/hr, with flexibility based on experience and skills.
