Overall Objective of the Role

Our engineering team is seeking a skilled Network Test Automation Developer to build and maintain automated testing solutions for our large-scale network orchestration platform. This system manages critical infrastructure for one of the world’s largest ISP, integrating multi-vendor routing environments with advanced traffic tools like IXIA.

Responsibilities

• Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites using Python (Pytest or similar frameworks).
• Multi-Vendor Networking: Develop Python-based abstractions to test across different Network Operating Systems (e.g., IOS-XR, Junos) using CLI, NETCONF, and APIs.
• Infrastructure as Code: Validate and test infrastructure-as-code workflows used to provision and manage multi-vendor network devices.
• Network & Traffic Validation: Automate validation of network behaviour, performance, and protocol stability (throughput, latency, convergence, etc.).
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions and Jenkins) to ensure continuous quality of the orchestration platform.

Requirements

Must Have:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
• Python:Strong proficiency in Python, including OOP principles and networking libraries.
• APIs & Data Models: Familiarity with REST APIs and data formats/models such as JSON, YAML, or YANG.
• Core Networking Knowledge:Understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet or SaltStack.
• Tooling: Familiarity with Linux environments and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Available to synchronize with East Coast USA until approximately 6PM Romania time.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Ansible: playbooks, roles, or custom modules.
• CI/CD integration: Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with IXIA or other traffic generators, or recognizing how to automate high-scale traffic generators for validating throughput, latency, and protocol stability.
• Advanced Networking Knowledge: A solid understanding of networking principles and protocols is considered a significant advantage.

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Fullstack Java Developer to help migrate existing Node.js backend services to a robust Java-based architecture. This role is ideal for someone with a strong backend focus on Java, while also being comfortable working across the stack with modern frontend technologies like React or Angular. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless integration across systems. You will be part of the Infra team within the Infra & Orch Group, which focuses on developing tools and processes for installing, configuring, and managing our Partner’s products. The Infra team is responsible for both in-house applications that support product infrastructure (such as user management, authentication integrations, and system configurations) as well as third-party open-source solutions, including databases (MongoDB, Vertica), monitoring tools (Prometheus, EFK), and other technologies like Kafka and MinIO. 

Responsibilities 

• Migrate backend components from Node.js to Java, using frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate. 
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable backend services and APIs. 
• Design data models and queries with Spring Data, optimizing for performance and scalability. 
• Work with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Couchbase). 
• Services with Apache Kafka for message streaming. 
• Maintain and improve existing frontend components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React or Angular. 
• Collaborate with the product owner, architect, frontend developers, DevOps, and other team members on end-to-end product delivery. 
• Take end-to-end responsibility for backend features – from requirements gathering to production support. 
• Identify bottlenecks, bugs, and devise elegant solutions to mitigate and address them. 
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and performance optimization. 
• Write unit and integration tests for critical components. 
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions. 
• Deploy and manage microservices in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. 

Requirements

Your Impact

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Retail Operations Experience platform — a mission-critical system that supports over 1,000 retail stores and underpins our entire retail gaming ecosystem. You’ll lead the charge in transforming legacy systems into a unified, real-time, high-performance back-office platform that streamlines everything from slot machine and SSBT (self-service betting terminal) data to financial tracking and store operations.

Your work will involve integrating complex data sources, driving platform modernisation, and building tools that improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making at scale.

• Owning the entire product lifecycle, from concept and proposal to release and ongoing maintenance
