About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Director, Employment Counsel, this role provides practical, risk-based advice on global employment matters. The role primarily supports EMEA and APJ, with opportunities to partner on matters in other regions and global projects.

What You’ll Do

• Provide day-to-day legal counseling to HR, management, and other stakeholders on global employment matters, including hiring, classification, accommodations, leaves, discipline, and terminations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements and documents, including offer terms, separation and settlement agreements, and policies/templates. Develop templates and guides.
• Manage employment-related claims, charges, and litigation (including pre-litigation demands), setting strategy and partnering with internal stakeholders; supervise outside counsel through resolution.
• Partner with HR and business leaders to support employee relations matters and workplace investigations, including advising on process, privilege, findings, and recommended corrective actions.
• Manage outside counsel on immigration matters.

What You’ll Bring

• Law degree
• Proficient level of English
• 7+ years of relevant employment law experience, either in-house and/or at a law firm, with exposure to multi-jurisdictional or global employment issues strongly preferred.
• Strong legal judgment and ability to own projects without supervision and ccommunicate complex issues clearly and pragmatically to non-lawyers; proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills; proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and matter/document management systems a plus.

We are looking for a Contract Manager to join our Sales Legal team, which currently consists of three Legal Counsels and two Contract Managers. The team oversees the full global sales contracting lifecycle – including complex enterprise agreements and strategic negotiations – balancing commercial goals with legal and regulatory risk. You will partner with the Finance, Security, IP, Data Privacy, Compliance, and product teams to close deals efficiently while safeguarding the business. This role combines commercial contract review, stakeholder coordination, and structured risk management within a fast-paced global sales environment.

This is a hybrid position located in Prague. Most team members work partly from home, but we also meet regularly in the office. 

In this role, you will:

• Own and drive the end-to-end legal sales support process for assigned deals, from request validation through execution and post-signature follow-up.
• Assess and categorize incoming contracts (e.g. JetBrains templates or customer templates) and define an appropriate review and negotiation strategy based on risk and deal value.
• Lead the commercial review of agreements and coordinate legal review in collaboration with Legal Counsel and subject-matter experts (FPOCs).
• Act as project manager for complex negotiations, orchestrating internal stakeholders, managing timelines, and consolidating feedback into a clear, unified position.
• Facilitate negotiation cycles with customers and sales teams, equipping business stakeholders with clear summaries and practical talking points.
• Identify contractual risks, prepare structured risk assessments, and carry out formal risk escalation processes when required.
• Manage contract execution, including e-signature workflows, quality control, and adherence to internal signature standards.
• Ensure proper post-signature governance by archiving agreements, logging non-standard terms, and tracking contractual obligations in internal systems.

Requirements:

• A degree in law, business administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant post-university experience, ideally in a multinational corporation or international business environment.
• Strong experience in commercial contract review and negotiation, with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
• Practical understanding of risk assessment and the ability to escalate and communicate complex issues clearly.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate processes across cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple parallel negotiations.

What you'll be doing:

• Deliver world class, on-site support services to WPP employees, agencies, and visiting clients, operating within predefined structure, methodologies, and standards set by WPP ET
• Provide on-site support to the WPP agencies
• Provide remote support, as needed, to WPP agencies across the wider region
• Ensure IT deskside operations and all standard technology services, including meeting room AV, are delivered and supported as needed
• Develop excellent relationships with the business user base
• Lead a customer-centred culture, championing activities to empower end users to get maximum utilization out of their technology tools
• Educate the business on how to use the Enterprise Technology service and maximise benefits
• Log all IT engagements into a ticketing system to ensure IT demand and performance data can be reported upon
• Onboarding and offboarding of new and departing employees, including user account administration and asset management
• Level 1 and 2 incident and problem management, including diagnosis, liaison with appropriate internal and external resources to drive resolution, and ticket management throughout the resolution process
• Ensure security procedures are followed, and 3rd parties are monitored during service engagements
• Act as the primary point of contact for AV support in meeting rooms within the Czechia WPP building
•  Assist users in setting up and troubleshooting AV equipment during meetings and events, ensuring a smooth user experience
• Provide hands-on support with AV hardware and software, including video conferencing systems, projectors, microphones, and speakers
• Conduct regular checks to ensure all AV equipment is functioning optimally
• Maintain an inventory of AV equipment, coordinating with the IT team for repairs, replacements, and upgrades as necessary
• Provide on-site AV support for both internal as well as external events, which may occasionally fall outside regular working hours
• Maintaining IT/Service Desk knowledge base and standard procedures
• Deployment of hardware and software to end users
• Management and installation/removal of break/fix or warranty replacement of IT related equipment
• IT asset procurement, inventory and Life cycle management
• Work with all the IT functions within the Enterprise Technology operating model to ensure the needs of the business are fulfilled
• Support WPP Global in promoting global standards and ensuring local implementation
• Support other IT teams with IT changes and ensure support priorities are localised and executed to plan
•  Perform basic device troubleshooting including resetting devices, cable management, providing console access for 3rd level teams/partners as part of Incident break fix or scheduled changes
• Facilitate and support refresh of local infrastructure (network and server)
• Availability where necessary for out-of-hours support
• Other duties as required
