We’re looking for a Director of Platform & Infrastructure to own and evolve our core engineering foundations. Reporting to our VP of Product Engineering, this role will lead SRE, MLOps, and Platform teams with a mandate to create leverage across the entire organization.

As a scaling startup, we’re evolving from early-stage infrastructure to a more mature, reliable platform that can support rapid product development and growing customer demand. This role is critical in helping us make that transition — building systems, standards, and teams that enable speed today while laying the foundation for long-term scale.

Partnering closely with product, data, and application engineering teams, you will set the technical vision, define best practices, and ensure our infrastructure enables teams to move fast with confidence.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role for someone who combines deep technical judgment with a systems mindset, strong people leadership, and a passion for building platforms that empower others.

Time zone requirement: Europe (GMT/WET, CET, EET) and Eastern North America (NST, AST, EST)

What You'll Do 

• Own the platform strategy across Platform, MLOps, and SRE, aligning it with company and product goals
• Grow senior ICs (and eventually manages) across multiple teams, fostering strong technical leadership and healthy team cultures
• Define and evolve our platform vision, including developer experience, internal tooling, CI/CD, infrastructure, observability, and reliability standards
• Oversee MLOps systems that support model development, training, deployment, monitoring, and governance in production
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, ML, Data, Security, and Compliance to ensure the platform meets current and future needs
• Balance speed and stability, making thoughtful tradeoffs between innovation, cost, reliability, and operational excellence
• Set metrics and accountability for platform performance, reliability, and developer productivity

Skills & Experience

• 10+ years experience leading platform, infrastructure, or reliability teams in a scaling startup environment, including navigating ambiguity, rapid growth, and the transition from early-stage systems to more mature, repeatable platforms
• Strong understanding of cloud-native infrastructure (GCP strongly preferred), Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices
• Experience supporting machine learning systems in production, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• A track record of building reliable, scalable systems used by fast-moving product teams
• Excellent people leadership skills — you know how to coach managers, grow talent, and build inclusive, high-performing teams
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across org boundaries
• Experience in data- or ML-heavy products

• Define, implement, and iterate service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs) that reflect customer and business expectations.

• Participate in on-call rotations with a focus on improving reliability, reducing alert noise, and increasing signal quality over time.
  
  

• 7+ years in SRE or related roles, with evidence of technical seniority across multiple services and teams.
• Strong experience with AWS and container orchestration (Kubernetes) in production environments.
• Demonstrated experience defining SLOs/SLIs and using them to drive operational and engineering decisions.
• Proven ability to design and implement observability solutions that produce actionable insights while reducing alert fatigue and operational noise.
• Strong IaC skills (Terraform preferred) and the ability to build reusable automation and standards (monitoring as code, configuration patterns).
• Familiarity with common data stores and managed services (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB) and how they fail in distributed systems.
• Experience with at least two observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana, New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch, ELK, etc.) and driving standardization across them.
• Strong incident response skills, including leading retrospectives/postmortems and improving reliability through systematic follow-up.
• Strong debugging skills across distributed systems and production environments, including performance and reliability investigations.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence engineering teams through standards, tooling, and practical guidance.

About the Role

The Platform Infrastructure team at iCapital plays a critical role in keeping the production and development environments running smoothly and securely.  This role will utilize advanced cloud capabilities to facilitate Platform Infrastructure strategy of market agility and lean operating principles with a strict focus on quality to meet the ever-growing demands of our clients. Responsibilities

• Proficient in designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting distributed systems, with strong hands-on debugging skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of DevOps or SRE experience with at least 4 years of AWS experience
• 8+ years of CI/CD pipeline development in GitLab, GitHub, or similar framework.
•  5+ years of experience with security best practices in AWS, including remediating SecurityHub findings.
•  5+ years of experience with DevSecOps tools, including SAST tools, DAST tools, and SCA tools.
• Microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) experience in a production environment strongly desired
• Strong Linux OS-level and command-line/scripting knowledge and configuration management principles
• Working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, DynamoDB. 
• Coding beyond simple scripting with strong opinions on maintainable/reusable code in Python, Ruby or Java desired.
• Experience with compute provisioning on a Cloud based platform using Terraform and/or Cloud formation 
• Exceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions 
• Experience building a Microservice based architecture
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• Able to design and implement complex, but easily managed, automated infrastructure
• Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge, teaching, and learning collaboratively within a team environment
• Experience in system tuning and performance testing.
• AWS certification a plus

About the Role

We're looking for a Principal Product Engineer who pairs deep engineering craft with strong product instincts. You'll work across the stack - mobile, web, backend - wherever the highest-leverage problem happens to live that quarter. You don't wait for a perfectly scoped ticket; you partner with product, design, and data to figure out what's worth building, then ship it end-to-end.

We expect breadth. We also expect real depth in the mobile app ecosystem - our customer-facing experiences live there. But we're not hiring a mobile only specialist. We're hiring a generalist with mobile chops who can lead an iOS architecture review on Tuesday and untangle a backend latency regression on Wednesday. 

This role is open to candidates based within a commutable distance (generally up to 1.5 hours).

What you will do

• Identify, scope, and ship the changes that move business metrics - across mobile, web, services, and data layers
• Architect long-lasting systems that hold up under real production conditions: performance, reliability, scalability, offline behavior, consistency
• Lead technical design reviews across teams, weighing trade-offs not just in code but in product impact, time-to-ship, and operational cost
• Drive operational maturity wherever it's weakest - release management, observability, incident response, performance monitoring - including in the mobile apps
• Partner with PMs, designers, and engineering leaders to shape what we build, why, and in what order; you're a peer in those conversations, not a downstream implementer
• Set the technical bar for the org by example: write the prototype, prove the pattern, then teach it
• Communicate trade-offs clearly to engineers, product partners, and senior stakeholders

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years of software experience, with significant time still spent hands-on in code - track record of shipping product-impacting work end-to-end, not just owning a layer
• Real depth in the mobile app ecosystem (iOS and/or Android, with strong fluency in Swift and/or Kotlin and the surrounding ecosystem - offline sync, push, auth, persistence, networking, REST/GraphQL) - and credible breadth beyond it
• Demonstrated breadth: you've worked seriously in at least one of {web frontend, backend services, data/infra, platform tooling} alongside mobile, and can hold your own in code review there
• Strong product judgment: you've made calls about what not to build, and can defend them with evidence
• Comfort troubleshooting in production across stacks - crash analysis, latency tracing, release-health debugging
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration; you make the people around you better

SingleStore is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help optimize and scale our managed service offering across all three major cloud providers. In this role, you will be at the intersection of leading technology trends – A highly performant distributed database, managed by Kubernetes, running in the cloud.  This is a great opportunity to push the boundaries with a cloud focused SRE role.

Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) are essential to PandaDoc's success, ensuring customers receive a reliable service with minimal downtime.

The SRE team achieves this by:

• Owning the incident management processes and tools.
• Managing the observability stack and alerting systems to enable timely investigation and mitigation.
• Actively contributing to service codebases to proactively prevent incidents and resolve performance bottlenecks.

In essence, SREs are the cornerstone of production service resiliency, driving efforts in observability, incident management, capacity planning, and maintaining reliable operations. 

In this role, you will:

• Own and influence the incident management process end-to-end
• Maintain and evolve on-prem observability stack
• Keep production applications running smoothly by participating in the on-call rotation
• Develop automations and tools to support platform reliability
• Contribute to production services with performance and resiliency in mind
• Collaborate with product engineers to foster SRE principles within the R&D organization
• Be a mentor for the SRE team or product engineers

About you:

• Solid programming experience, namely Python (Django and AsyncIO)  and/or Java (Spring Boot)
• Experience in maintaining an observability tools suite (specifically, LGTM - Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir)
• Experience in development and maintenance of Python services in production
• Strong experience with AWS and Kubernetes
• Solid proficiency in working with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and messaging systems (e.g. RabbitMQ, NATS, Kafka)
• An experienced on-call SRE engineer 
• Enjoy hands-on troubleshooting of distributed systems in production environments
• You act like an owner and strive to do work you're proud of
• You enjoy communication and knowledge sharing on all-things reliability
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
