We are looking for a Programmatic Trader Manager to join our world class trading team, The Trading position is at the heart of MiQ’s business, providing a unique link between commercial and analysis functions. The successful candidate will be empowered to manage a team of traders as well as directly trade and execute omnichannel programmatic media campaigns across a diverse portfolio.

The opportunity

As a Programmatic Trader Ops, you’ll play a critical operational role within the Center of Success (CoS), working cross‑functionally with Traders, Account Managers, Data & Analytics (DnA), Product and Marketing across the JAPAC footprint. You’ll own the trafficking, reporting, discrepancy checks, remnant management and troubleshooting that underpin successful campaign delivery and client growth.
The role is designed for individuals with no prior experience in programmatic trading who want to learn both programmatic and trading, providing a key pathway into programmatic trading and digital media operations. For someone who enjoys working with data, following structured processes, and learning new tools, it offers the opportunity to build skills not only in operations but also in trading, with a potential transition into a trader role over time based on interest and performance.

Role: Programmatic Trader

What you’ll do

As a Programmatic Trader, you will be providing a unique link between commercial and analysis functions across the JAPAC region. You will have the opportunity to work closely with individuals from other markets and departments including Sales, Account Management and Data & Analytics; across our regional footprint. It is not easy work, but it is rewarding, and as the region is growing rapidly there is great opportunity to make an impact and grow along with it.
As a Programmatic Trader, your main responsibilities will include:
Campaign Activation
Excellent campaign performance – deliver client success across a diverse portfolio of accounts
End to end campaign ownership and performance monitoring
Use data to enhance buying decisions, resulting in overachievement vs. client- stated KPIs and internal profit objectives
Use insights to build client rapport to up-sell and earn incremental opportunity
Portfolio Management
Deliver on-point margin and retain clients
Apply expertise on new business and/or challenging campaigns to reduce margin
Grow client business via surpassing KPIs, delivering insights and building relationships
Use data, analysis, and trading expertise to deliver campaign ahead of pace and maintain performance
Internal Collaboration
Seamlessly communicate with commercial teams on product/capabilities positioning and growth strategy
Take initiative to support others and deliver teaching / training sessions
Work with MiQ global central departments to aid in any of the following:
Ad operations
Pre-campaign Analysis
Post-campaign insight reporting
Troubleshooting
Communication
Very confident in content creation and delivery for meetings
Attend and participate in meetings - deliver insight pieces and Q&A
Strong emphasis on delivering clients actionable insights via weekly commentary and end-of- campaign reports
Innovation
Regularly use campaigns to test and implement innovative ideas
Maintain and evolve trading/operational processes and best practices
Share results to encourage team-wide adoption of new insights, targeting tactics, optimisation methods and ways of working
What you’ll bring
At least 1 year experience trading programmatic campaigns

The Bilingual Japanese Programmatic Support Trader is an entry-level operations role that supports the Trading team in setting up, monitoring, and reporting on digital advertising campaigns. This role focuses on following clear processes, working accurately with data, and using available resources and documentation, rather than on prior industry experience. The Support Trader role is designed as a foundational entry point into programmatic trading and digital media operations. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, following structured processes, and learning new tools, and who takes pride in getting the details right to support strong campaign performance.
