Job Description

• Responsible for certain month-end close, reconciliation and reporting procedures.
• Perform the day-to day accounting processes and procedures relating to, but not limited to fixed assets, prepaids, payroll, and certain accruals.
• Perform tasks associated with the general ledger, (i.e., enters monthly journal entries).
• Perform monthly reconciliations and account analysis for designated balance sheet accounts and certain operating accounts.
• Review daily bank activities and assist the GL team with bank reconciliations.
• Assist on quarterly reviews and year-end audit procedures with external auditors.
• Assist with SOX controls and facilitate PBCs for external and internal auditors.
• Assist with technical accounting, as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as requested.
• Interfaces with other departments to determine the monthly accruals and other monthly journal entries, especially relating to closing activities.  Communicate with the employee population regarding relevant accounting issues. 
• Review and prepare international month close packages for foreign subsidiaries.

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager to lead external financial reporting and support complex technical accounting matters across the business. This role partners closely with internal accounting teams, external auditors, legal counsel, Investor Relations, and executive management to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role ideal for someone who enjoys technical accounting, cross-functional coordination, and building efficient, scalable reporting processes in a fast-paced public company environment.

What You’ll Do:

SEC Reporting & External Financial Reporting

• Own all aspects of external financial reporting, including the preparation and filing of SEC reports such as Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, earnings releases, proxy filings, and ad hoc registration statements
• Coordinate the review of SEC filings with external auditors, legal counsel, internal accounting teams, and executive management
• Manage the preparation and documentation of the financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, EPS calculations, and Share-Based Compensation disclosures

Technical Accounting

• Author technical accounting policies and maintain a database of all company accounting policies
• Research significant and complex transactions and prepare technical accounting memoranda supporting the Company’s position
• Monitor and implement new accounting standards, working cross-functionally to ensure compliance and effective integration across departments

Accounting Operations & Analysis

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fluctuation analyses and management reports
  Lead the preparation of journal entries for key accounting transactions
• Take ownership of ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reporting accuracy

Equity, Investor Relations & Audit Support

• Oversee the equity accounting and equity administration process while maintaining the company’s equity database
• Collaborate with Investor Relations to prepare quarterly earnings releases and scripts for earnings calls
• Provide support for external and internal audits, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements

The Right Fit:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with a focus on SEC reporting, technical accounting, and external audits
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience preparing or reviewing complex financial statements
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize, solve complex issues, and drive continuous improvements in reporting processes
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to effectively collaborate across departments

Scope:

The Payroll Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of payroll data entry and processing for the entire organization. This role is vital to the smooth operation of the company’s payroll process, guaranteeing that employees are paid correctly and on time.

Title: Permit Specialist - 100% Remote work

About The Role

TaxValet is looking for a permit specialist to help our clients eliminate the hassle and risk of sales tax. You’ll be using your project management and attention to detail skills to assist clients with getting set-up within state tax systems quickly. The result being that TaxValet’s filing team is able to pay each clients’ taxes accurately and on time. This will be a highly collaborative role and will involve working with clients, internal teammates, state agencies, and more. 

The permit specialist will primarily be responsible for opening new sales tax accounts, closing existing sales tax accounts, preparing and sending Power of Attorney forms, and troubleshooting permit issues as they pop up. This role will be communicating with US State government agencies and US clients so really high proficiency and comfort with written and verbal English is a must! 

In time, you’ll be considered an expert on state sales tax permits and someone that many will turn to when looking for advice. 

Don’t worry—we’ll provide lots of training and help along the way. Your attitude and potential is much more important than your current knowledge and experience. We don’t expect anyone to come in with previous US sales tax experience. 

Your Qualifications

Your Primary Responsibilities  

• Permit Process. The permit specialist is responsible for managing the new permit process and existing permit verification process. This includes reviewing client information submitted to TaxValet, applying for the sales tax permits and creating access to the Permit account to verify any information needed so the account can then be turned over to the Sales Tax Accountant for filing purposes.The permit specialist communicates between the client and the stateto ensure accurate permit information.
• Prepare and Submit Power of Attorney Forms. The permit specialist sends, and submits the Power of Attorney forms for clients to give TaxValet the ability to communicate with Permits on behalf of the client.
• Permit Closures. The permit specialist will work with the New Client Onboarding Specialist, Client Tax Specialist  and Sales Tax Accountant in respect to closing out sales tax permits for new clients who are determined to no longer need a particularly permit upon completing the initial nexus review.
• Support Clients.  The permit specialist communicates and provides ongoing support to new and existing clients during the permit process.
• Support Sales Tax Accountants. The permit specialist communicates all helpful permit or account verification information to the assigned Sales Tax Accountant in order for them to effectively take on the client's ongoing filing process and any special projects.

Specific Measures of Success

No surprises here! After a year on the job, you’ll be measured by these specific outcomes:

• Permit Process/Verification Time. The goal is to complete the permit/verification process within 39 days for 90% of clients.  
• Permit Application Turnaround Time. The permit specialist will have all sales tax permits applications submitted within less than 48 hours of notification from the Onboarding Team.
• Permit Capacity. The permit specialist should be able to handle at least 80 permits/verifications per month along with other duties.  
• Education Hours. The permit specialist will complete 3 hours per quarter in work related education or training.  
• Quarterly Rocks (Goals). All rocks have at least an 80% completion rate for the year.

Your Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit sales tax filings. You will work with the clients to ensure their sales tax data is accurate and in a format compatible with the tax software, prepare estimated liabilities, and submit sales tax filings on a monthly basis.
• Monitor clients' tax collection variances. On a periodic (typically monthly) basis, you will monitor the variance between tax collected and the calculated liability due, determine any issues and work to resolve said issues with clients when possible. 
• Provide assistance to resolve time-critical issues. Many clients come to us with notices from state sales tax authorities regarding assessments, collections, and past due returns. You will work closely with clients to resolve these issues and get their filings current. This often involves working with sales tax authorities to help our clients.
• Assist with special client projects. You will assist with submitting late or amended sales tax returns, managing audits, and updating clients' company information with the states.
• Internal documentation, workflows, and processes. You will be a key player in updating internal documentation for new and/or more efficient filing and account management processes, workflows, and tools used.
• Be the primary point of contact for your clients. Once clients leave the onboarding process, you will be their primary point of contact for all services. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent and adequate communication between the team and the clients regarding any issues, sales tax filings, projects, or requests.
• Learn New Skills. You will continue to learn and advance your understanding of sales tax and related technical skills on an ongoing basis to advance your career and increase the value you bring to the team. 

Specific Measures of Success

• Average timeframe for special project completion. On average, complete special projects within 60 days of client sign-off/approval to proceed.
• Average timeframe for past due return project completion. On average, complete all known backfilings within 90 days of client onboarding completion.
• Client tax variance percentage. Have 80% of clients with less than 3% tax collection variance (the difference between the tax collected and the amount due to the state).
• Submitting returns on time. Have 99.9% of monthly filings submitted by state due dates.
• Completion of online education and training. You will complete 3 hours per quarter of Sales Tax Institute Webinars or other educational training.

Taxation (Direct & Indirect)

• Prepare and/or coordinate GST filings, corporate income tax computations, and withholding tax compliance
• Work with external tax advisors on annual tax filings, tax provisions, and regulatory matters
• Monitor changes in local tax laws and assess accounting and compliance impact

Systems, Process & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work within company ERP and financial systems to ensure accurate and efficient processing
• Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and scale accounting processes as the business grows
• Partner closely with U.S.-based accounting, finance, payroll, and FP&A teams
• Support ad-hoc projects related to global finance transformation, system implementations, or entity expansion

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting
  
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and Singapore statutory accounting requirements
• Experience with GST, corporate tax, and statutory audits in Singapore
• Prior experience working with or for a US-based or multinational company
  
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel (advanced level)

Preferred

• Accounting Graduate with CPA, CA (Singapore), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
• Experience in a public company and/or SOX environment

The Senior Accountant, Credit will play a pivotal role in overseeing core accounting functions, including general ledger management, month-end/year-end closing, financial reporting, process improvement, audit support, and team collaboration. This position demands a comprehensive grasp of accounting principles and practices, especially US GAAP (ASC 606), coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A focus on revenue and cost of goods sold, plus experience in a manufacturing or technology setting, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, meticulously investigating discrepancies to ensure data accuracy and integrity, thereby supporting strategic decision-making.
• Record and review journal entries and adjustments accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper documentation and support for all transactions.
• Lead or participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Analyze financial data and provide clear explanations for variances.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures. Implement best practices to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
• Facilitate internal and external audit requests. Provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors. Ensure compliance with audit requirements and address any findings or recommendations.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management on financial matters.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, variances, and anomalies relevant to revenue and financial reporting, and handle special projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or technology environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions and their relation to the General Ledger.
• System implementation knowledge and SQL experience are distinct advantages.

What This Role Is About

We are looking for a General Accountant with a Certified US Accounting credential (such as CPA, EA, or equivalent US accounting certification) to join one of our clients’ finance teams. The ideal candidate has strong experience in general accounting, bank reconciliations, accounts payable processes, and financial record management. This role requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with US accounting standards, and the ability to manage financial transactions accurately.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and marked as paid.
• Review accounting software for entries labeled AutoPay and verify payment completion.
• Manage and monitor a shared accounting email inbox, ensuring invoices and financial documents are properly routed to the appropriate team members.
• Process and track employee reimbursement requests, including reviewing submissions, assigning approvals, and following up when necessary.
• Review and process new vendor applications, ensuring required tax forms and supporting documentation (such as W-9 forms) are complete and compliant with company policies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with accounts payable and vendor management tasks.
• Support the accounting team with financial reporting, documentation, and audit preparation when needed.
• Assist with special accounting projects and financial tasks as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations
• Familiarity with US GAAP and accounting best practices
