Scope of Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and execute strategic pathways for acquiring and maintaining critical DoD and Federal Civilian authorizations (e.g., FedRAMP, DISA ATO, DoD RMF) in collaboration with Product, Compliance, Security, and Engineering teams, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, sales cycles, and contract deliverables.
- Identify and manage relationships with external stakeholders in coordination with Sales.
- Act as the key facilitator and primary point of contact across internal teams (sales, product, engineering, security, marketing), government agencies, and third-party assessors (3PAOs) throughout the authorization lifecycle.
- Develop and manage detailed program timelines, diligently track progress against milestones, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure timely submission of all required documentation and deliverables.
- Regularly report status updates to the Management Team and other stakeholders to ensure visibility into ATO processes and blockers.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- ATO experience with the Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Federal Civilian agencies, and the Intelligence Community.
- Experience with or in-depth knowledge of DoD RMF or cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800-53.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to engage with external and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Possesses strong organizational and program management skills, successfully managing complex projects with multiple dependencies, utilizing tools and methodologies (e.g., GitLab, Agile) for tracking, risk management, and timely delivery.
- Logically organizes and assigns work to enhance team efficiency.
- Proactive, results-oriented approach; a self-starter who takes initiative, drives projects, anticipates roadblocks, seeks solutions, and is accountable for program success.
- Adapts readily to change and ambiguity within a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional ability to facilitate collaboration and influence outcomes across diverse groups, including technical teams, leadership, and external partners or customers.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude, with the ability to understand software, cloud platform, and security concepts.
- 7+ years of relevant program management experience, with proven success managing complex projects using Agile methodologies within software development or technical settings.
- Current possession of a U.S. security clearance or the ability to obtain one with our sponsorship

- Secure, operate, and continuously deploy to FedRAMP and IL5 environments.
- Document security processes, vulnerabilities, remediation actions, and compliance measures.
- Partner with engineers to interpret security requirements and plan effective control implementations.
- Integrate security tools into the CI/CD pipeline, run security scans, and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Translate and synthesize complex concepts and architectures into a clear body of evidence artifacts, including System Security Plans (SSP) and architecture diagrams.
- Build and support a CI/CD infrastructure utilizing GitLab, Jenkins, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Serve as a security Subject Matter Expert (SME) and govern architectures to ensure they remain within the scope of an ATO.
Qualifications

- Linux/Unix experience, including command line and shell scripting
- Hands-on operational AWS/GCP/Azure experience
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, DoD SRG, NIST 800-171)
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Gitlab CI, or related technologies
- Experience with Systems Monitoring/Alerting (Splunk, PagerDuty, Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana)
- Experience with infrastructure as code
- Current possession of a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one with our sponsorship
- Experience maintaining compliance within an accredited environment, ensuring all systems and processes operate according to the parameters of the granted ATO.
- Programming experience with any of the following languages: Golang, Java, Python, Groovy, Bash, or Ruby

We are seeking a capable and highly motivated Engineer for our Developer Platform team to enable rapid and safe software delivery by providing a unified, efficient and reliable platform for all developers at Motional. You will join a talented team of engineers that focuses on improving the engineering experience and developer productivity of teams in Motional by providing them with the necessary tools and processes. You will collaborate closely with teams across the organization to identify pain points and drive initiatives that empower teams to deliver on Motional’s mission.
Your main focus will be on our real-time data pipeline which enables our AVs to communicate with our cloud services such as Command Center, Over-The-Air update systems, and ride hailing partners integration.
This is a remote-first position based anywhere in the U.S.
What you'll do:
- Design, build, document, test, and maintain network, compute, and storage infrastructure of our cloud platform for the AV fleet.
- Monitor, support, and resolve issues as they arise in production.
- Assist with high-level analysis, system design, and code reviews.
- Communicate with stakeholders and team leads to identify system requirements.
What you'll be working on:
- Observability systems, CI/CD pipelines for integrations with ride hailing partners like Uber and Lyft.
- Cost Optimizations, Performance Optimizations, Security Improvements of Cloud Systems.
- Automation, services and LLM-integrated bots to reduce developer toil.
What you bring:
- 2+ years of professional work experience as a Software Engineer/DevOps in designing and building distributed systems.
- Experience with Golang / Python.
- Experience with AWS (EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, VPC, S3, IAM, IOT).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Comfortable taking projects from ideation through to completion, with strong communication and collaboration across multiple international teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, continuous delivery environment.
Bonus points for experience with:

About the Role:
Rumble Cloud is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer to support our team in rolling out and operating our next-generation Kubernetes platform. This role will focus on our new CAPI/CAPO-based Kubernetes solution, which is designed to be compatible with our existing OpenStack Magnum API and will be deployed across our public cloud. You will help run the day-to-day operations of the Kubernetes service, assist with migrations and onboarding from our current Magnum-based offering, and act as an escalation point for complex customer issues that go beyond front-line support. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys debugging difficult problems, improving reliability, and working closely with both platform engineers and customer-facing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Rumble Cloud’s Kubernetes platform, including our new CAPI/CAPO-based installation and its integration with the OpenStack Magnum API.
- Assist in the rollout, migration, and upgrade processes as customers transition from the existing Magnum-based solution to the new platform.
- Serve as an escalation point for customer support, troubleshooting complex Kubernetes and cluster lifecycle issues.
- Monitor the health, performance, and capacity of Kubernetes clusters and underlying infrastructure; assist in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Implement and maintain day-2 operations processes, including backup/restore, scaling, patching, and cluster upgrades.
- Collaborate with the Kubernetes Architect to implement standards, best practices, and reference patterns for cluster configuration and operations.
- Help manage and integrate container registries, identity, networking, and storage components required for the Kubernetes platform.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Contribute to and maintain runbooks, documentation, and knowledge base articles for both internal teams and customer-facing support.
- Provide feedback from operations and customer interactions to influence platform improvements and product roadmap.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience in Linux systems engineering, cloud engineering, or platform/SRE roles, including hands-on work with Kubernetes in production environments.
- Practical experience with installing, operating, and troubleshooting Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience working with Kubernetes on OpenStack or other cloud providers.
- Familiarity with Cluster API (CAPI) and/or Cluster API Provider OpenStack (CAPO), or strong willingness to ramp up quickly.
- Strong understanding of Linux, containers, and container runtimes (e.g., Docker, containerd).
- Experience with Kubernetes networking, storage, and ingress concepts (CNI, CSI, load balancers, ingress controllers).
- Hands-on experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go) for operational tasks.
- Familiarity with configuration management and IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring and logging in Kubernetes environments (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Graylog, or similar).
- Strong troubleshooting skills, clear written documentation, and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have (Preferred Skills):
- Experience with OpenStack Magnum and its Kubernetes integrations.
- Experience operating Kubernetes on other public cloud platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Knowledge of Ceph, S3-compatible storage, and their use with Kubernetes.
- Understanding of application architectures on Kubernetes, including microservices and 12-factor applications.
- Exposure to CI/CD toolchains (e.g., Git, GitLab/Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.) for containerized workloads.
- Experience with security hardening and best practices for Kubernetes (RBAC, PodSecurity, network policies, image scanning).
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience operating production Kubernetes clusters and working as part of a cross-functional cloud/platform team.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, handle escalations, and maintain a strong customer-focused mindset.
- Passion for continuous learning in Kubernetes, cloud-native tooling, and automation.
Annual Compensation Range:
$175,000 - $220,000 USD base + benefits + equity (If based in the United States)
$157,000 - $187,000 CAD base + benefits + equity (If based in Canada)
