We are seeking a Knowledge Engineer to join our Data Product & Operations team. In this role, you will build and maintain taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, and domain ontologies that bring structure to complex defense acquisition data. Working alongside data engineers and data scientists, domain experts, and product teams, you'll create semantic models that provide structured knowledge to AI systems and enable effective search, classification, and analysis across Govini's Ark platform.
This role requires systematic analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and a passion for combining theoretical rigor with practical implementation. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in taxonomy and ontology development, along with the ability to guide teams in adopting semantic technologies.This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Pittsburgh, PA.

Summary/Overview:
Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA)’s CMBS group is seeking a highly motivated CMBS / CRE Research Associate to support the firm’s commercial real estate (CRE) and CMBS platform. The CMBS group assigns and maintains credit ratings and conducts thought-leadership research across Conduit, SASB, Agency, CRE CLO, SFR, Data Center, and other CRE transactions.
This role will work closely with the Senior Researcher, as well as modeling, new issue and surveillance teams, to produce high-quality research, data analysis, and publications that inform market participants and support KBRA’s ratings process. This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical and technical skills, an interest in CRE and structured finance, the ability to translate complex data into clear actionable insights, and strong writing and communication abilities.
