dunnhumby Norway AS is a joint venture between Coop Norge Handel AS and dunnhumby ltd. Based on the Customer First principle, we deliver customer insight and data-driven marketing for Coop and its suppliers. dunnhumby Norway has 35 employees in Norway and 15 employees in India.
We are looking for an Associate Applied Data Scientist to join the Loyalty and Personalisation team who will work as a part of our Solutions Team.
Your role:
As a key member of our Loyalty and Personalisation team, you will dive deep into the world of data to design 1:1 customer personalization initiative that truly resonate. With a focus on Coop’s 1.7 million members, you will play a crucial role in developing Norway’s most engaging loyalty program. In close collaboration with our international team, your efforts will help shape the future of retail through groundbreaking loyalty and personalisation, CRM, and Retail Media initiatives.
In this role you will collaborate across teams – Coop, dunnhumby commercial leads and data science team, translating complex analysis into clear recommendations, and ensuring insights are embedded into decision making. The role requires strong analytical thinking, technical savviness, clear communication, and a hands-on approach to partnership and delivery.
At dunnhumby, you will work in a world-leading retail data science company with specialist expertise in customer data, category development, campaign and price, customer communications and media. You will experience being part of a large international network, but at the same time work closely with Coop in a dynamic environment with opportunities to experiment and learn.
What we expect from you:
- Have a strong academic background with a master's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or equivalent.
- Relevant experience preferably from retail, media agencies, consulting or the financial sector.
- Excels at translating complex data sets into clear and actionable insights, with a keen ability to understand the business context and meet customer challenges through data-driven solutions.
- While familiarity with Python, Spark or other SQL-based applications is an advantage, the main focus is on interpreting data and providing valuable recommendations to meet customer needs and support business objectives.
- Have a passion for customer data and are eager to use scientific approaches for data analysis to uncover new business opportunities.
- Is enthusiastic about working closely with customers to create meaningful change by linking analytical findings to real-world business problems.
- Is passionate about driving operational efficiencies through process automation and setting up dedicated project/process management initiatives.
- Is fluent and have good written skills in English.
- Norwegian language skills are must

In collaboration with our dynamic sales team, you will engage in customer meetings, demonstrations, and proof of concepts, showcasing the business and technical benefits of our solutions. Your role is pivotal in enabling personal, team, and customer achievements through insightful and innovative solutions that meet technical and business needs.
This role offers the chance to showcase your technical and consultative skills, engaging with stakeholders of various roles and levels to understand and meet their technical requirements with cutting-edge solutions. Your expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies will be key in delivering impactful solutions that align with customer business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations, presentations, technical guidance, proof of concepts, and RfX responses.
- Act as the go-to technical expert on Ping Identity solutions for customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Establish enduring relationships with customers and become their trusted advisor
- Collaborate with the sales team to deliver revenue. Emphasis during key sales cycle phases of Qualification, Discovery, and Technical Proof Phase
- Coordinate, throughout sales cycle, pre-sales efforts with a post-sales service delivery team
- Leading customer-facing meetings, both through videoconferencing and in-person to, deliver presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations of Ping Identity solutions and their value remotely, in-person, and at industry events
- Provide insightful feedback on product enhancements and customer needs to product owners.
- Mentoring, both formally and informally, junior team members
- Develop subject matter expert-level knowledge of at least one of Ping Identity's solutions and serve as an expert resource to other Sales Engineers within the organization
- Able to travel up to 40% as needed. This will mostly be in the Nordic region but may occasionaly include Benelux or Eastern Europe
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field, or 4+ years' experience with enterprise-level software systems in a customer-facing role, such as pre-sales, consulting, support, or training
- Deep knowledge of standard identity protocols: SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM as well as experience with REST interfaces
- Deep knowledge of technologies that underly identity solutions: LDAP (including Active Directory), SSL/TLS, PKI, RADIUS, SQL, DNS, JDBC
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages and web technologies: JavaScript, Python, Node.js, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON, Java.
- Expertise in developing and delivering effective technical presentations, workshops, customized demonstrations, and proof of concepts
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Adept at linking technical capabilities to customer needs.
- Ability to work with a high level of self-direction and/or collaboratively with team and customers
- Knowledge of a subset of the following IAM concepts: Authentication / Authorization / Federation / Single Sign-On / User Lifecycle Management / Provisioning / Governance / Workflow /
- Eagerness to learn; expertise in specific business areas or industry verticals is a bonus.
- Familiarity with infrastructure, networking technologies, and cloud service providers.
- Fluency in any Nordic language
Ideal Candidate Skills:
