Alternative Delivery Project Engineer
We're seeking a Project Engineer with experience supporting alternative delivery pursuits and execution. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to work at the intersection of design, construction, and innovation on high-profile public infrastructure projects.
Location
This position will report to our Franklin or Nashville office on a hybrid work schedule.
The Impact You'll Have
- Provide technical and project coordination support during procurement, preconstruction, and delivery phases of alternative delivery projects
- Assist in the preparation of RFQ/RFP responses, including technical content, design narratives, ATCs, and execution strategies
- Coordinate with the Structural group and external teaming partners to develop design deliverables and ensure alignment with project goals and constraints
- Track project schedules, deliverables, and submittals while identifying and addressing risks and issues proactively
- Participate in meetings with owners, contractors, and stakeholders to provide technical insight and support
- Support the Structural group with project documentation, compliance, and quality control processes
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience, ideally with exposure to alternative delivery methods
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering completed
- PE license in Tennessee required, or the ability to obtain within the first 3 months of employment
- Experience with tools like MicroStation Connect, Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Designer, Primavera, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Working knowledge of alternative delivery procurement processes and contract models (Design-Build, Progressive Design Build, CMGC, P3)

Structural Project Engineer
Are you ready to take your structural engineering career to the next level? Our Tennessee division is looking for a Structural Project Engineer to join our growing team. If you're a licensed PE in Tennessee with a passion for bridge and retaining wall design—and you're looking for more responsibility, complex challenges, and a team that values your growth—you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
Location
This position will work out of either of our Tennessee offices (Franklin or Nashville) on a hybrid work schedule.
The Impact You Will Have
- Prepare and review structural and geometrical calculations for bridge design projects
- Lead structural designers and review their work on bridge design projects
- Develop and review plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports
- Perform modeling and analysis
- Review and sign off on basic design calculations, quantities, and plan elements
- Model, analyze and/or design elements of a project and coordinate development with other elements and disciplines within the project
- Work independently and develop task deliverables in a competent and reviewable manner
What We Are Looking For
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
- PE License in Tennessee or ability to obtain through reciprocity
- Minimum of 4 years of bridge design experience
- Experience working with TDOT and local municipalities is a plus
- Proficiency in Bentley CAD and structural design software
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to deliver quality work within budget and schedule
