Smartsheet is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to serve as our first dedicated legal hire in Europe. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the Continental Europe legal function, working with a high degree of autonomy to support our the DACH sales team, EMEA sales operations and broader cross-functional stakeholders across the region. You will act as a trusted legal adviser to regional leadership, bringing first-class stakeholder management skills and sound commercial judgement to a fast-growing international business.
The role reports to the Director, Legal based in our London office. The position is based in Munich, Germany (hybrid working arrangement) with opportunities to travel to and work from our UK office when appropriate and approved.
Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of commercial and corporate agreements including SaaS services agreements, data processing agreements, employment contracts, marketing and sponsorship arrangements, and event-related agreements with a primary focus on contracts governed by German law.
- Serve as the primary legal point of contact for European operations, working independently to resolve day-to-day legal matters whilst collaborating closely with the wider legal team across global offices.
- Build and maintain the European legal framework, including localised contract templates, clause libraries, and internal playbooks tailored to German and broader European requirements.
- Leverage company-provided AI tools and deliver practical legal training and guidance to European teams on key legal issues, regulatory developments, best practices, and company policies.
- Advise on data protection and privacy matters across the region, with particular focus on the GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive, and engagement with EU and national regulatory authorities.
- Lead the localisation of standard-form agreements and drive the implementation and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and processes for the European market, in close cooperation with customer-facing teams and business support functions.
- Support general European business operations and contribute to strategic cross-functional projects as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified to practise law in Germany (Volljurist or equivalent), with a minimum of 6 years' post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in-house.
- Substantial experience negotiating and drafting contracts under German law is essential. Experience with French-law contracts is highly desirable.
- Full professional fluency in both English and German (written and spoken) is required.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound independent judgement in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrable ability to balance legal risk against business objectives, consistent with the company's risk appetite and strategic priorities.
- Direct experience supporting sales and regional operations within a cloud software or SaaS organisation, with a strong understanding of the DACH technology market.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise and influence senior business leaders across multiple jurisdictions.

- Support corporate housekeeping across the group, including director changes, registered office updates, and structure chart maintenance.
- Coordinate with notaries and external advisers on entity matters.
Maintain company data, including the Transparency Register. - Help drive intragroup restructuring initiatives and other corporate law-related projects in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Contracts & Agreements
- Manage and process standard commercial agreements (NDAs, rental agreements, partner agreements, intragroup service agreements, contractor agreements) in coordination with relevant teams.
- Oversee Terms & Conditions, including updates and implementation.
- Maintain templates, workflows, and support execution in the contract management system.
Legal Advisory & Operational Support
- Support internal stakeholders with practical solutions for operational legal matters.
- Assist teams in navigating standard legal and compliance processes.
- Support decision-making with concise legal analyses and summaries.
Intellectual Property
- Manage brand registrations and renewals, working with external advisers.
- Support discussions on IP strategy for current and future brands.
- Assist with IP-related disputes.
Team & Administrative Support
- Support in audit and compliance activities.
- Help drive internal legal communications and team knowledge initiatives.
- Maintain and organize corporate records and documentation.
Your Profile:
- A law degree.
- Comfortable working across corporate, commercial, IP, and other standard legal matters.
- Strong written and spoken German; bilingual English.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Clear communicator who avoids jargon and explains legal matters plainly.
- Experience collaborating with multiple business units.
- Proactive and able to work independently with senior guidance.

What we are looking for:
At amp, we created the first AI Audio Management System that powers a brand’s entire sound journey: Sonic Hub. To effectively manage our Sonic Hub systems, we're seeking a motivated Product Operations Coordinator (m/f/d) – our Quality Hero – who has already gained some working experience in product management, to help us ensure smooth and efficient product operations.
What you’ll do:
As our Quality Hero, you’ll be responsible for supporting our Product & Tech team, focusing on the coordination of various aspects across the entire product lifecycle:
- Quality Assurance & Process Control: Continuously monitor product performance, proactively manage the resolution of bugs in a timely and efficient manner, identify areas for ongoing platform optimisation by systematically gathering user feedback, maintain document specifications.
- User Management & Support: Provide first-level user support, answer product-related questions for internal teams, coordinate product launches to ensure smooth rollouts.
- Operational Excellence: Effectively coordinate with internal teams and external partners. Establish and maintain comprehensive product documentation (guidelines, FAQs, training materials) as a central knowledge base.
- Agile Project Management: Independently and proactively track project progress and ensure that deadlines are met.
What you’ll need:
- Based in Munich, Germany, you are ready to collaborate closely with our Product & Tech team in the office.
- You hold an academic background (e.g. Computer Science, Information Science or similar) and have already gained initial practical experience in areas like Product Operations, Project Management, or Product Development processes.
- You possess strong problem-solving and organisational skills, a meticulous work ethic, strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.
- You communicate excellently in English and have a strong service orientation. German language skills are a valuable plus.
- A passion for music, creativity, and branding is considered an advantage.

Join a select group of the world’s leading experts and advisors in our expanding Damages & Valuations team. We don’t just lead – we set the standard. You will collaborate with an extraordinary team of accountants, economists, PhDs, certified business valuators, investment analysts, and industry specialists. Together, we tackle some of the most challenging litigation, strategic commercial questions, and investor-state arbitrations – delivering insight and clarity on matters that span industries and geographies.
As a Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence across Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. You will engage in some of the most prominent, high-stakes cases in international arbitration and large-scale commercial disputes. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the intersection of valuation, finance, accounting, economics, and legal principles of damages.
Responsibilities:
In this dynamic role, you will:
- Prepare in-depth economic damages and business valuation reports that drive critical legal decisions
- Lead comprehensive financial and industry research to support litigation and arbitration cases
- Analyze complex financial and non-financial data, summarizing key findings for both internal and external stakeholders
- Develop sophisticated financial models and valuation parameters, including discount rates and forecasts
- Prepare critique reports to challenge the findings of other experts in high-profile disputes
- Act as a key liaison, communicating regularly with clients and legal counsel
- Prepare for and actively participate in hearings, trials, and mediations
- Oversee multiple engagements, ensuring deliverables are met on time and to the highest standard
Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
- Full proficiency in English and German (written and spoken)
- A background as a qualified accountant, preferably with Big Four experience
- Experience in disputes, economic damages, or business valuations is highly desirable
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to manage large datasets and distill key insights even in unfamiliar scenarios
- A proactive, results-driven attitude, able to excel under pressure and tight deadlines
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences
- A strong team-oriented mindset, able to collaborate across functions and regions
- Familiarity with tools like Capital IQ, DealStats, and Bloomberg is a plus
