Role
Our perception technology, in particular pose estimation, is a key differentiator of the Intrinsic platform and enables our users to build flexible automation solutions. The perception experience team builds tools that significantly improve developer productivity when adding perception to an application, from camera onboarding and calibration to training and running a pose estimation algorithm.
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic perception team working at the heart of Flowstate, our first product built on the Intrinsic platform. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new user interfaces focused on perception user journeys, improving existing user journeys, and integration with the rest of the Intrinsic platform and backend APIs. You will develop the full stack of web interfaces for end-to-end perception tasks, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly experience throughout our platform. The interfaces you build will shape our product and the role of the human in it.
You are excited by the prospect of owning critical pieces of our user experience (including collaborating with the Product and Design teams, and developing tests). You are excited to work with real cameras and robotic hardware. You have excellent development skills across the web application stack and are excited to be part of a world-class, innovative, frontend team.
How your work moves the mission forward
- Develop intuitive and innovative perception interfaces in collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
- Own individual workflows or web UIs critical for Intrinsic’s perception product(s).
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver cohesive and delightful user experiences.
- Contribute to the end-to-end tech stack, integrating frontend with backend systems to enable seamless human-robot interaction.
Skills you will need to be successful
- At least Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in frontend web application development, with proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with a major web framework (e.g., Angular, React).
- Experience in backend development (Go, C++, Python, etc.).
- Willingness to learn or familiarity with 3D computer vision, registration techniques, or similar perception topics.
- Experience with building visually-rich web applications.
- Excellent collaboration skills, particularly when working with product and design teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Skills that will differentiate your candidacy
- Experience with 3D graphics and visualization libraries (e.g., Three.js, WebGL) in a web context.
- Experience in building human-machine interfaces for robotics or perception or complex industrial systems.
- Experience with user studies or gathering user feedback to iterate on prototypes.

Role
As a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer in our Product Development Team for Robotic Solutions you will work closely together with different stakeholders to develop production ready software for scalable robot applications based on our Intrinsic Platform. You will be part of the entire development journey, from scoping the right technical solution, analyzing dependencies and needs up to actual development and testing.
How your work moves the mission forward
- Synchronize with product management and platform development to take the right architecture decisions, which ensure long term maintainability and stability.
- Implement high quality software with state of the art tooling as part of an experienced team of developers.
- Be hands on in testing on real hardware and supporting customers where needed.
- Ensure a smooth transition of feature releases to the Customer Success Team, which will take care of most customer facing enablement and support.
Skills you will need to be successful
- Master’s degree or equivalent practical background in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- Experience implementing user facing web-based frontends and associated backends in the context of robotics and industrial automation.
- Professional work experience with Python + TypeScript / JavaScript.
- Demonstrated capability in technical leadership, including setting technical direction and guiding development efforts towards successful outcomes.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal cross-functional teams and external technical partners.
Skills that will differentiate your candidacy
- Proven track record developing and deploying frontend and backend production code for industrial robotics and automation solutions within manufacturing or production environments.
- Good understanding of concepts such as coordinate transforms, quaternions and pose representations.
- Familiarity with web-based 3D Visualization.
- Ability to drive sustainable architecture decisions and experience with appropriate testing approaches.
- Experience with Angular, Bazel, gRPC and Protocol Buffers.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you excited by the idea of building the technology behind immersive, browser-based 3D experiences at global scale?
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack (F/M/D) to help advance our flagship product, NavVis IVION — a cutting-edge web platform for exploring and managing photorealistic digital twins directly in the browser.
In this role, you will design and implement key parts of our client–server architecture, working with technologies such as Java, Spring, TypeScript, Angular, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and fellow engineers to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality features that bring real-world spaces to life.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Design, implement, and maintain backend and frontend components of NavVis IVION, ensuring performance, reliability, and ease of use.
- Develop and extend our Java/Spring-based application server and Angular/TypeScript web client, powering 3D visualization, mapping, and data management features.
- Contribute to the evolution of our PostgreSQL/PostGIS data layer that stores and processes geospatial data at scale.
- Build and enhance APIs that enable digital enrichment of environments and integration with third-party systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate user and business needs into robust technical solutions.
- Maintain high engineering standards through code reviews, testing, and performance optimizations.
- Support and mentor engineers with varying levels of experience within your squad, foster knowledge sharing, and encourage continuous improvement.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE
Core requirements
- You bring substantial experience in software development (typically 7+ years), with a proven track record of delivering complex systems.
- Deep expertise in Java, Spring, Hibernate, and modern web application architectures, as well as advanced frontend experience with Angular and TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS) and building scalable, data-intensive services.
- Demonstrated ability to define technical roadmaps and drive consensus in cross-functional environments.
- Experience delivering APIs and SDKs, as well as gathering developer feedback to guide future improvements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute and help shaping technical direction across teams and organizations
Bonus if you bring
- Working knowledge of C++ is very welcome; while not our primary daily language, it is occasionally required for specific projects.
- Exposure to AWS Services, geospatial data, or 3D graphics/WebGL development.

Senior Software Engineer
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in designing and implementing scalable, data-driven systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and efficient data processing. The Senior Engineer will play a vital role in building both foundational engineering capabilities for scaling solutions and developing product solutions.
The Responsibilities
Overall
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Golang and Python.
- Build and optimize APIs using gRPC || GraphQL || REST to support high-performance applications.
- Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Design and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL) to handle large-scale data efficiently.
