We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (f/m/d) to build the foundation of Apaleo’s market-facing API layer, bringing agentic booking into hospitality and enabling the next generation of guest-facing AI experiences.

This is a highly autonomous role where you will design and ship the Storefront API, a production-grade, scalable interface that allows external systems (like ChatGPT and booking platforms) to interact directly with Apaleo.

You’ll operate at the intersection of backend engineering and AI, starting with clean API architecture and evolving into systems that power intelligent, agent-driven interactions.

What You’ll Be Up To

Build the Storefront API from Scratch

• Design and implement a production-grade, multi-tenant API / MCP
• Enable seamless integration with external platforms and AI agents

Own the Full API Lifecycle

• Define API schemas and contracts (OpenAPI)

Role

Our perception technology, in particular pose estimation, is a key differentiator of the Intrinsic platform and enables our users to build flexible automation solutions. The perception experience team builds tools that significantly improve developer productivity when adding perception to an application, from camera onboarding and calibration to training and running a pose estimation algorithm.

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic perception team working at the heart of Flowstate, our first product built on the Intrinsic platform. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new user interfaces focused on perception user journeys, improving existing user journeys, and integration with the rest of the Intrinsic platform and backend APIs. You will develop the full stack of web interfaces for end-to-end perception tasks, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly experience throughout our platform. The interfaces you build will shape our product and the role of the human in it.

As a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer in our Product Development Team for Robotic Solutions you will work closely together with different stakeholders to develop production ready software for scalable robot applications based on our Intrinsic Platform. You will be part of the entire development journey, from scoping the right technical solution, analyzing dependencies and needs up to actual development and testing.

• Maintain our existing software stack, including working with internal and external customers to identify issues, improving operational reliability and performance, and fending off technical debt. The stack is a mix of Rust, Python, and TypeScript, with Python mainly living in the ML-heavy sections, TypeScript being used in our UIs, and Rust being used in backends, onboard, and embedded software.

• Further develop our tests and benchmarks, both at the micro and macro level. We operate in a domain where robustness is of the utmost importance, and an extensive and ever-improving test suite is key to achieving that. And without thorough benchmarks, we would be flying blind.

• Present your work at our weekly demo sessions. We want engineers to come together around what they are working on and to feel like they are not endlessly squirreling away at something that doesn’t matter. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack (F/M/D) to help advance our flagship product, NavVis IVION — a cutting-edge web platform for exploring and managing photorealistic digital twins directly in the browser. 

In this role, you will design and implement key parts of our client–server architecture, working with technologies such as Java, Spring, TypeScript, Angular, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and fellow engineers to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality features that bring real-world spaces to life. 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Design, implement, and maintain backend and frontend components of NavVis IVION, ensuring performance, reliability, and ease of use. 

• Develop and extend our Java/Spring-based application server and Angular/TypeScript web client, powering 3D visualization, mapping, and data management features. 

• Contribute to the evolution of our PostgreSQL/PostGIS data layer that stores and processes geospatial data at scale. 

• Build and enhance APIs that enable digital enrichment of environments and integration with third-party systems. 

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate user and business needs into robust technical solutions. 

• Maintain high engineering standards through code reviews, testing, and performance optimizations. 

• Support and mentor engineers with varying levels of experience within your squad, foster knowledge sharing, and encourage continuous improvement. 

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

Core requirements

• You bring substantial experience in software development (typically 7+ years), with a proven track record of delivering complex systems. 

• Deep expertise in Java, Spring, Hibernate, and modern web application architectures, as well as advanced frontend experience with Angular and TypeScript. 

• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS) and building scalable, data-intensive services. 

• Demonstrated ability to define technical roadmaps and drive consensus in cross-functional environments. 

• Experience delivering APIs and SDKs, as well as gathering developer feedback to guide future improvements.

Required:

We're looking to hire for our Data side of our AI team at Speechify. This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection to support our model training operations. We are able to build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work. • Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline
• Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
• Collaborate closely with our Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost to power our next-generation models.

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.

The .NET ecosystem includes:

• Rider – a cross-platform .NET IDE competing with Visual Studio.
• ReSharper – the Visual Studio extension that started it all.
• Profilers – performance and memory analysis tools (dotTrace and dotMemory).

• Cross-product experiences – onboarding, licensing, AI integration, and discoverability.

You’ll work on whatever needs design attention, which shifts based on priorities. Recent examples include: designing an overlay system that gives ReSharper its own identity inside Visual Studio without adding clutter, integrating AI assistance into GameDev workflows where context matters enormously, and making monitoring tools feel like part of the IDE rather than separate expert software.

About the team:

You’ll join a small design team (currently 3 people, including the lead) embedded in the .NET ecosystem. We’re building out our practices – prioritization frameworks, intake systems, and research processes – so you’ll shape how we work, not just what we ship.

The broader .NET organization includes product managers, engineers, QA, researchers, marketing managers, and technical writers across multiple products. Design partners with all of them. Here’s the thing: The engineers building these tools are also .NET developers – they’re your users. You’ll sit alongside the people whose workflows you’re designing for. That’s one of the rarest feedback loops in product design, and it changes how you work.
