Verkada is seeking a Global Solutions Engineer with expert experience in Cloud Security, IoT Systems, Networking, Linux systems, Security Surveillance and Access Control. This individual will partner directly with their territory account executives to expand the Verkada footprint upmarket into Fortune 500 companies. Responsibilities include directly interfacing with customers/partners throughout the sales process, overcoming technical objections, assisting customers in designing deployments with Verkada Products and providing technical assistance to territory account reps. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, able to learn quickly and work independently while making impactful results for the company remotely.

Annual Pay Range

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).

You will join a fast-growing Neocloud infrastructure organization operating at the intersection of AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and hyperscale cloud services. Our data centers host large-scale GPU clusters purpose-built for AI training, inference, and accelerated workloads.
As global data center operations expand, this role offers significant career progression, direct involvement in new data center builds and expansions, and exposure to industry-leading GPU platforms. Your work will have a measurable impact on platform reliability, customer SLAs, and operational efficiency, while collaborating closely with experts in AI infrastructure design, cloud operations, and data center engineering.

As an Data Center IT Manager, you will be key in ensuring the maintenance and efficiency of our data center's IT infrastructure.
Your role involves leading a team that works directly with cutting-edge technologies, including the advanced GPU cloud clusters. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, handling hardware troubleshooting and resolution, and ensuring critical systems run smoothly.
You will be required to work onsite in our colocation in Minnesota.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage IT support team to achieve KPI in IT infrastructure support and project planning.
Collaborating effectively with internal teams and external contractors to address technical and operational challenges.
Developing clear and comprehensive documentation and manuals for hardware configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Planning, executing and monitoring regular IT tasks to maintain and improve IT infrastructure operations.
Manage IT support that includes diagnosing and resolving issues related to IT hardware and ensure the continuous support of the data center’s IT infrastructure.
Manage Project tasks that include installation, upgrading and dismantling of hardware based on operational requests and requirements.
Manage additional processes around asset management, Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs).
We expect you to have:
5+ years of team management, hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving server hardware issues.
A solid understanding of data center operations, as well as server and network equipment principles.
Practical experience in project planning and management.
Knowledge of the ITIL methodology, the operational activities of the technical support service (ITSM).
Basic proficiency in the Linux operating system and familiarity with command-line tools.
Practical experience working with server IT hardware, enterprise-grade network switches and fiber optic cables.
Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables, formulas, lists and graph creation.
A proactive, responsible and goal-oriented approach to work.
It will be an added bonus if you have:
ITIL and/or PMI certification.
Compensation:
$146,880 – $220,320 + Bonus USD per year, depending on experience and qualifications (Annual Bonus Eligible)

As a Data Center Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing the IT infrastructure within our data center. This includes working hands-on with modern technologies such as the advanced H200 GPU cloud cluster. We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer – RMA & Hardware Diagnostics to own advanced hardware troubleshooting and RMA lifecycle management within our production data center environments. This role serves as the escalation point for complex server and firmware-related issues that impact system reliability and fleet availability.
You will be responsible for deep diagnostics across enterprise server platforms, performing structured root cause analysis, validating failed components, and managing end-to-end warranty replacement processes with OEM vendors. This is a hands-on technical role with direct impact on hardware reliability, SLA performance, and operational scalability.
You will work on-site in one of our data centers, collaborating closely with L1/L2 technicians, infrastructure engineers, and vendors to reduce repeat failures and improve overall hardware quality across the fleet.

Your responsibilities will include:
Perform advanced firmware and hardware diagnostics on enterprise server platforms, including CPU, memory, PCIe devices, GPUs, storage subsystems, and power components
Troubleshoot complex hardware failures using system logs, BMC/IPMI interfaces, BIOS diagnostics, and vendor-specific tooling
Act as the primary escalation point for L1 and L2 technicians on high-impact hardware incidents
Conduct structured root cause analysis and document findings to prevent repeat failures
Own the full RMA lifecycle, including validation of failed components, warranty claim creation, vendor coordination, tracking, and resolution
Interface directly with OEM vendors to escalate recurring hardware defects and drive corrective action
Analyze hardware failure trends and report metrics such as repeat RMA rates and component reliability
Develop and standardize diagnostic playbooks, troubleshooting workflows, and hardware validation procedures
Validate replacement components prior to redeployment into production environments
Collaborate cross-functionally with data center operations, procurement, and engineering teams to improve hardware lifecycle processes
Contribute to reducing MTTR and improving fleet-wide reliability through process improvements and knowledge sharing
We expect you to have:
5+ years of hands-on experience working with enterprise server hardware in a production data center environment
Deep understanding of x86 server architecture, including CPUs, memory, PCIe devices, storage controllers, GPUs, and power subsystems
Strong experience performing firmware and BIOS/BMC diagnostics and upgrades
Advanced Linux command-line troubleshooting skills, including log analysis and hardware-level diagnostics
Experience working with remote management interfaces such as IPMI, iDRAC, iLO, or equivalent
Proven experience managing hardware RMA processes and working directly with OEM vendors
Ability to conduct structured root cause analysis and document technical findings clearly
Familiarity with hardware monitoring systems and failure trend analysis
Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate independently in mission-critical environments
High proficiency in spoken and written English
It will be an added bonus if you have:
Experience performing board-level diagnostics and component-level repair (SMD rework)
Familiarity with data center networking equipment and basic network troubleshooting
Experience supporting GPU-dense or high-performance compute environments
Valid driver’s license

We offer competitive salaries, ranging from $76,800k - $184,300k OTE (On Target Earnings) based on your experience and skills.
