We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a fast-moving team building ML and AI solutions for consumer health behavior change products. You'll work on problems where your models directly influence real health outcomes for millions of users. We move fast, iterate often, and expect our scientists to thrive in ambiguity.
Where You'll Be
To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on an in-office work schedule. We expect employees who are in close proximity to our office hubs to work from our Fort Mill SC, Minneapolis MN, or Denver CO, office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. What You’ll Do
- Design and build evaluation pipelines to measure AI and LLM output quality, including automated annotation frameworks and human-in-the-loop review workflows
- Apply NLP techniques to clinical and claims data to extract structured insights that inform product and health outcomes
- Build and improve search and retrieval systems that connect users to relevant, accurate health information using semantic search and RAG architectures
- Develop and ship generative AI applications — moving rapidly from proof of concept to production
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to translate ambiguous health problems into concrete, measurable data science solutions
- Stay current on state-of-the-art techniques and quickly evaluate what is worth building versus what is noise
- Lead cross-functional execution with stakeholders across product, engineering, and clinical teams
- Contribute to a team culture that is inclusive, intellectually honest, and moves with urgency
What We’re Looking For
You are comfortable owning problems end-to-end, shipping fast, and adjusting course when the data or product direction changes. You don't need perfect requirements to get started.
Core technical areas:
- Generative AI & LLMs — experience building applications with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, LangChain, or similar tooling
- Evaluation & Measurement — designing and building pipelines to assess AI/LLM output quality, including automated annotation, human-in-the-loop review, and defining metrics that reflect real health outcomes
- Clinical NLP & Claims Data — extracting structured insights from unstructured clinical text and/or working with medical claims data to understand patient journeys, diagnoses, and treatment patterns
- Search & Retrieval — building systems that help users find relevant health information, including semantic search, dense retrieval, and RAG architectures
- Behavioral modeling — understanding user engagement, retention, and habit formation patterns in the context of health behavior change
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., CS, Stats, or Physics) or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience, specifically focused on shipping production-grade ML/AI solutions in complex domains like healthcare
- Strong Python skills; experience deploying models in production environments
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and NLP techniques (Transformers, LSTMs)
- Experience with vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval-augmented generation
- Hands-on experience with healthcare data (claims, EHR, or clinical text) is a strong plus
- Demonstrated ability to move from research to production — not just notebooks
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and communicating technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders

RVO Health is looking for a Staff AI Engineer to help build the next generation of AI-powered tools to accelerate our internal teams. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role at the center of a growing AI Ops function within Corporate Technology. You will design and build AI Assistants that automate real workflows, integrate with enterprise tools, and are grounded in sound software engineering practices. You will not be building demos. You will be building production-grade systems that people at RVO Health will use every day.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full AI development stack: from designing AI workflow automation and fine-tuning prompts to building APIs and integrating third-party platforms. You thrive in a fast-moving environment, can translate a business workflow into a technical architecture, and care about delivering work that is reliable, maintainable, and secure.
This role reports into the Director of AI Ops & Platform Engineering and works closely with the AI Ops team, security, IT, and platform engineering. It is an early and influential seat in a program that will accelerate the adoption and use of AI across RVO Health.

What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and iterate on AI Assistants integrated with enterprise tools including Jira, Slack, and internal data sources
- Develop and maintain prompt engineering frameworks, evaluation pipelines, and feedback loops to continuously improve assistant quality and reliability
- Build and maintain APIs, backend services, and integrations that connect AI capabilities to the tools teams already use
- Collaborate with AI Ops, security, and platform engineering teams to ensure systems are production-grade, secure, and observable
- Contribute to a repeatable framework for building new AI Assistants as the program expands
- Evaluate new models, tools, and libraries and make informed recommendations on when and how to adopt them
- Identify and mitigate risks related to AI outputs, data handling, and responsible use

onX is seeking a Staff Software Engineer who will contribute to meaningful, real-world outcomes that have a lasting impact for customers and the business. In this role, you’ll focus on the design, development, and scaling of our core AI/ML platforms and product-facing services as part of the AI Foundations Team, supporting the integration of cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions across onX's product lines. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Essential Job Duties & Functions
- Work on the design, development, and deployment of large-scale AI systems and services, including models, pipelines, product experiences and infrastructure.
- Help Drive the technical strategy and roadmap for AI feature development, focusing on scalability, repeatability, reliability, and performance.
- Mentor and guide other engineers in best practices and productionizing AI technologies.

- Deep knowledge of MLOps practices, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models and the common inference APIs/SDKs and frameworks.
- Experience with modern AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and their various architectures, methods such as RAG, vector databases, and the common AI stack including TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch, Transformers, etc.

HOW YOU’LL BE COMPENSATED
onX is committed to compensating all employees fairly and equitably for their contributions. Applicants can expect to make between $169,000 to $211,000 upon hire. The pay range will vary based on experience, skills, certifications, and education among other factors as required in the job description. In addition, full-time onX employees are eligible for a grant of common share options with a vesting schedule and a potential annual bonus of 10% based on company performance.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff for our Managing Director of AI—someone who combines strategic vision in AI with hands-on execution and technological know-how. You'll be both a force-multiplier and a transformation architect: designing AI-enabled processes, building automated engines that run independently, leading organizational rollouts, and ensuring crisp execution across our AI solutions practice.
This role goes beyond traditional Chief of Staff responsibilities. You'll design processes that leverage AI, build repeatable systems that scale, and lead entire client transformations from discovery to sustained adoption. You have the potential to grow into leading organizational-level AI implementations as the practice expands.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Executive Leadership
- Partner with the Managing Director of AI and the executive team to translate priorities into sequenced plans, resourcing, and measurable outcomes
- Lead Human Agency's AI transformation methodology: define offerings, build repeatable frameworks, and establish best practices for AI-enabled workflows
- Design end-to-end processes that embed AI tools (LLMs, automation platforms, knowledge assistants) into client workflows and internal operations
- Translate complex AI capabilities into clear business cases, use cases, and implementation roadmaps for executive audiences
- Produce high-quality executive materials (briefings, roadmaps, decision memos) that drive alignment and decisions
- Identify where AI creates leverage across client engagements and surface strategic opportunities to leadership
AI Process Design & Automated Engines
- Design and build AI-powered systems that operate independently with minimal ongoing intervention—automated engines that scale beyond individual engagements

- Design prompts, playbooks, and knowledge bases optimized for reliability, consistency, and reusability across multiple clients

- Lead standing client check-ins, executive presentations, demo readiness, decision logs, and release notes, presenting succinct options and recommendations
- Create comprehensive enablement materials: user guides, FAQs, training programs, and governance playbooks that empower client teams to operate AI systems independently
- Build lasting client relationships through proactive communication, anticipation of needs, and consistent delivery quality
- Present to executive audiences with clarity and confidence, addressing concerns about accuracy, security, and adoption
Operations & Project Management
- Design and continuously improve the operating system for AI work: intake → triage → prioritization → delivery → QA → launch → measurement
- Manage staffing assignments and subcontractor contributions across concurrent workstreams; keep tools current (Asana/Notion, Google Workspace, Slack)
- Budget & scope control: track time against SOWs, flag changes early, manage vendors, and ensure on-budget delivery with clear documentation
- Establish shared dashboards for delivery health (timeline, risk, burn, dependency status) and run tight meeting cadences
Communications & Reporting
- Prepare agendas, briefings, and executive-ready presentations; synthesize complex information into actionable insights
- Provide clear, timely reporting to the Managing Director of AI and stakeholders on progress, risks, and decisions
- Contribute to Human Agency's AI thought leadership through documentation of best practices, case studies, and insights
Who You Are
Experience & Skills
- 5-7+ years in operations, client services, product/program/project management, strategic support, consulting, or transformation roles with direct ownership of client-facing delivery
- Demonstrated success leading multi-stakeholder projects and organizational change initiatives end-to-end (scope, timelines, budgets, risk, and change management)
- Deep AI fluency: hands-on experience implementing LLM-enabled solutions, prompt engineering, workflow automation, and knowledge management systems; can shape prompts/playbooks, evaluate quality, and choose appropriate tools or vendors
- Strong understanding of AI capabilities and limitations, when to use AI, how to design for reliability, and how to manage risks responsibly
- Proven ability to design repeatable processes and systems that scale beyond individual projects
- Experience with no/low-code automation platforms (e.g., Zapier/n8n), knowledge bases, and modern AI tooling
- High proficiency with Google Workspace, Asana/Notion, Slack, and comfort with modern web and content tools; experience preparing polished executive documents and presentations
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical audiences
- Bonus: Experience leading organizational-level technology rollouts, background in management consulting, familiarity with responsible AI considerations (privacy, data handling, consent, bias mitigation), or experience in AI/ML product development

Compensation
