About the Role:
Rumble Cloud is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer to support our team in rolling out and operating our next-generation Kubernetes platform. This role will focus on our new CAPI/CAPO-based Kubernetes solution, which is designed to be compatible with our existing OpenStack Magnum API and will be deployed across our public cloud. You will help run the day-to-day operations of the Kubernetes service, assist with migrations and onboarding from our current Magnum-based offering, and act as an escalation point for complex customer issues that go beyond front-line support. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys debugging difficult problems, improving reliability, and working closely with both platform engineers and customer-facing teams.

Annual Compensation Range:
$175,000 - $220,000 USD base + benefits + equity (If based in the United States)
$157,000 - $187,000 CAD base + benefits + equity (If based in Canada)

Apply to Rumble - Career PageWe’re looking for a seasoned Staff Infrastructure Engineer to join our engineering team and lead the design, development, and evolution of our cloud infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of scaling our platform, optimizing cloud operations, and driving infrastructure best practices in a modern, services-based architecture.
You’ll work closely with the product engineering, developer experience and security teams to ensure our infrastructure is robust, secure, scalable, and aligned with our product goals. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have deep experience in AWS and Kubernetes, and are passionate about infrastructure as code and automation, we’d love to hear from you.
Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure in AWS using best practices.
Lead our efforts in Kubernetes (EKS) architecture, cluster management, and deployment strategies.
Collaborate with application and platform engineering teams to optimize microservices deployment, CI/CD workflows, and service orchestration.
Define and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.
Drive observability and performance monitoring strategies using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
Champion DevOps culture across the organization and mentor other engineers on cloud-native best practices.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, proactively recommending improvements.
8+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or site reliability engineering roles.
Strong expertise with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM, VPC, RDS, S3, etc.).
Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments.
Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK.
Experience with microservices and distributed systems architectures.
Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
Proven experience with monitoring, logging, and observability systems.
Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure best practices.
Experience in a high-scale, SaaS or cloud-native environment.
Familiarity with service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) and container runtimes.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
Work on cutting-edge cloud infrastructure and architecture.
