Position: Landscape Foreman (Stormwater)
Location: Hazelwood, MO 63042
Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full Time, 40-55 hours per week (Monday-Friday, overtime opportunities)
Regional Travel: Required, typically 10-15 days per month (lodging and $55 per diem on travel days)

What you’ll be doing:

• Plan, direct, and schedule landscaping, routine maintenance, and light repairs of stormwater infrastructure (retention ponds, detention basins, drainage ditches, stormwater grates, and other stormwater assets).
• Lead a crew of 2-4 crew members, communicating and enforcing all safety regulations.
• Perform mowing, weed-trimming, debris removal, ground maintenance and cleanup, light construction, and maintenance repairs for client properties.
• Operate landscaping and light construction equipment and maintain the equipment trailer.
• Prepare reports and document work in the field using Apex proprietary systems.
• Travel from the shop location via the company truck to client sites locally and regionally. 10-15 days of travel is typical (M-F only). 

What we're looking for: 

• 2-4+ years of experience with manual labor, outdoor experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of landscaping equipment and materials preferred.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally required. 10-15 days of travel is typical (M-F only). 
• Due to DOT interstate transportation requirements, employees must meet the minimum requirement of 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and a reliable method of transportation required.
• Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening. We are a drug-free workplace.
• Ability to perform various physical tasks (i.e., bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, etc.) and work in a variety of weather conditions.

What You'll Do:

• Shipping & Receiving: Handle all aspects of shipping and receiving, including quality control, verifying records, and receiving products from vendors. Ensure items are placed accurately in inventory and shipments are prepared for customers.
• Inventory Control: Assist in managing inventory levels, monitor product stock, and ensure items are properly stored.
• Forklift Operation: Drive a forklift safely to move products and materials as needed for receiving, inventory storage, and order fulfillment.
• Shipping and Freight: Communicate effectively with vendors, freight companies, and customers to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
• Customer Deliveries: Make parts deliveries via company vehicle as required, providing excellent customer service along the way.
• Safety: Utilize safe methods when handling tools, equipment, and freight.

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record for the past 3 years
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to interact with customers, vendors, and freight companies
• Proficiency in using computers and basic software for record-keeping and communication
• Freight knowledge and experience with shipping and receiving processes is a plus
• Forklift experience is preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Adaptability to varied environmental conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach effectively.
• Capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Independence in entering and exiting various vehicles as required.
• Willing and able to pass a DOT physical exam for safety compliance.

This advanced-level technician will be proficient in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems, with a deep understanding of diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment.

As a Heavy Truck Mechanic, you will:

• Make sure equipment is well-maintained and safe for our customers.
• Use Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment diagnostic equipment to research and complete repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance repairs-like replacing or rotating tires and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a thorough and timely manner.
• Partner with the service manager to learn new skills using Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

What are the qualifications that we're looking for?

• 4+ years' experience with hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses
• 4+ years’ of MIG and stick welding experience
• 4+ years’ of automotive electrical experience
• 4+ years’ of diesel engine repair is preferred
• Must have own tools
• Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Class A or B CDL is a plus!
• Possess working mechanical knowledge, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance.
• Must pass a DOT physical including drug screening.
