The Role… 

At Soho House, the Floor Manager is responsible for maintaining the food and beverage operation in conjunction with the General Manager and management team. As the Floor Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage a floor team to deliver a successful and efficient service whilst upholding Soho House service standards and creating an approachable yet elevated atmosphere for members, guests and staff. You’ll ensure that members have an enjoyable experience and deliver excellent service from initial greeting, taking orders, making recommendations and paying of the bill.

Key duties…

• Drive exceptional service standards by developing and refining systems that enhance the experience for members, guests, and staff.
• Lead engaging training sessions on Soho House food and drink programs through storytelling, demos, and initiatives like “Cook House,” “House Tonic,” and “Club School.”
• Collaborate across departments to ensure every guest interaction is seamless, aligned with brand expectations, and delivered with consistency.
• Support recruitment efforts by identifying talent needs, participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates alongside People & Development.
• Oversee onboarding and development of new team members, ensuring the floor team is confident, polished, and guest-focused.
• Gather and act on member feedback in partnership with the Membership team to continuously improve service and offerings.
• Train and coach staff on Soho House core values, roles, and service standards to build a high-performing and knowledgeable team.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
• Create efficient staff rotas, manage labour costs, and reduce unnecessary overtime to maintain operational excellence.
• Uphold and enforce standards of appearance, compliance, safety, and professionalism across the team.

What we are looking for...

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure
• Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously

The Role… 

At Soho House, the Sous Chef plays a vital leadership role within the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in delivering exceptional, high-quality dishes across all services. As a key member of the culinary management team, the Sous Chef helps drive consistency, creativity, and operational excellence, ensuring that every plate reflects the standards and identity of Soho House. 

You will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, supervise and develop junior chefs, and ensure food safety, allergen compliance, and kitchen hygiene remain at the highest level. The Sous Chef contributes to menu development, coordinates prep and service execution, and steps into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef.

Key duties…

• Support the Senior Sous Chef and Head Chef in leading all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring smooth, efficient service across all meal periods. 
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes to Soho House standards, maintaining consistency in quality, flavour, and plating. 
• Oversee mise en place organisation, daily prep schedules, and service readiness for assigned sections. 
• Supervise and mentor junior chefs, providing guidance, training, and feedback to support their development. 
• Uphold strict food safety, hygiene, and allergen management procedures in line with HACCP and Soho House policies. 
• Assist in menu execution and contribute ideas to seasonal changes, specials, and development projects. 
• Support stock control activities, including ordering, deliveries, waste reduction, and inventory rotation. 
• Communicate effectively with both back-of-house and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and member satisfaction. 
• Lead by example through professionalism, punctuality, and a calm, solution-driven approach in a fast-paced environment. 
• Take charge of the kitchen when required, ensuring standards, staffing, and service run smoothly in the absence of senior leadership. 

What we are looking for...

• 3–5 years of experience in a high-volume, high-quality kitchen, ideally within a premium restaurant, hotel, or private members’ club. 
• Strong cooking skills across multiple kitchen sections with a solid understanding of classical and modern culinary techniques. 
• Proven experience supervising or leading small teams. 
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP, allergen procedures, and food safety practices. 
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards. 
• Professional, reliable, and passionate about food and team development. 
• Confident communicator with strong organisational and time-management skills. 
• Fluent in English.

We’re hiring a Part Time private chef. Each day is a Full day. You will work at the clients home. You’ll plan nutrition-led menus, shop for quality ingredients, cook, batch where it makes sense, and leave the kitchen tidy. You’ll coordinate with our nutrition team when needed, and you’ll have direct feedback from the client so you can dial things in fast.

About Biospan. We place chefs into private households to deliver real, whole-food cooking with clear nutrition intent. Our clients include busy families, founders, and performance-minded professionals. We focus on simple, organic ingredients, smart prep systems, and consistent execution. When a client has a health goal or dietary protocol, we translate it into practical menus without fuss.

How we work. We keep menus seasonal and straightforward, and balance flavour with function. We’re big on mise en place, safe batch prep, and efficient use of time. Chefs log dishes, portions, and any notes (preferences, allergies, wins, misses) so the next cook day is faster and better. When useful, you’ll get light input from our nutritionists — macros, swaps, or protocol tweaks — but you still own the cooking.

What you’ll do. You’ll plan and cook meals tailored to the household, manage shopping and inventory, portion and label for the week, and keep the kitchen clean and organised. You’ll adapt to preferences, accommodate allergies or intolerances, and update a simple log so we can measure what works. You’ll communicate clearly with the client (and us) so expectations stay aligned.

Schedule and location. You’ll work 1 days per week for roughly. Each day is a Full day. You will work at the clients home. The client’s is based in Manchester.

Pay: GBP 250 for a Full day. Groceries are reimbursed.

What you’ll need. You have at least three years of professional kitchen experience; private-chef experience is preferred. You’re organised, discreet, punctual, and you leave a spotless kitchen. A driving licence, active chef insurance, and a clear background check are required. An interest in nutrition and a calm, systematic approach to meal prep will help you succeed.
