We are currently seeking a Band 4 Histology Biomedical Scientist to join our client’s team in Manchester. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a great opportunity to gain experience in a supportive laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will assist in the preparation and processing of histological specimens, ensuring accuracy and adherence to laboratory protocols. You will support the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services, maintain detailed records, and work collaboratively with the wider laboratory and clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for performing a range of histopathological procedures, with a focus on paediatric samples. You will ensure accurate analysis and reporting, maintain laboratory equipment, and adhere to all relevant health and safety standards. You will also contribute to quality assurance processes and collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care.
Qualifications and Experience
• HCPC registration
• Experience within paediatric histopathology is essential
• Minimum 6 months’ experience working as a Band 5 Biomedical Scientist in a hospital setting
• Completion of a Biomedical Scientist portfolio

Qualifications and Experience
• Degree or Diploma in Cellular Pathology/Histopathology
• HCPC registration
• Recent experience in Cellular Pathology as a Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist
• Experience working within an NHS laboratory is beneficial
