About this role in the team:

We're looking for an experienced Financial Crime Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle of our financial crime tools and systems, managing the engineering backlog, and driving a roadmap focused on mitigating financial crime risk. This role is crucial to ensuring our technology remains robust, compliant, and ahead of evolving threats like money laundering, fraud, and sanctions evasion.

You will act as the key liaison between the business and our engineering teams, translating complex financial crime requirements into clear, actionable user stories. You will manage the backlog, prioritize tech debt, and champion new features and innovation that directly enhance our ability to detect and prevent illicit financial activity across multiple product lines.

Responsibilities

• Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and maintain a clear, prioritised product roadmap for all FinCrime tools and systems. Ensure this roadmap aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and our overall risk strategy.
• Backlog Management: Own and manage the engineering backlog. This includes writing detailed user stories, refining requirements, and prioritising features, enhancements, tech debt, and bugs to ensure a continuous and efficient development cycle.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for engineering teams. Effectively communicate product vision, requirements, and priorities. Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Financial Crime Intelligence, and other business stakeholders to gather requirements and define product solutions.
• Innovation & Enhancement: Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and new features that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our financial crime prevention capabilities. This includes leveraging new technologies like machine learning and AI to enhance our detection models.
• Regulatory & Compliance Expertise: Stay up-to-date with global financial crime regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, Sanctions, and Fraud) and emerging trends. Ensure our products are built and maintained in a way that meets or exceeds these compliance standards.
• Performance Analysis: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for our FinCrime products. Use data and insights to inform product decisions, measure success, and identify areas for improvement.
• Risk & Prioritization: Prioritise work based on a clear understanding of risk, business value, and technical complexity. Make difficult trade-off decisions to balance competing priorities from different business units.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ Years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably within the FinTech, Financial Services, or a related technology-driven environment.
• Proven experience managing an engineering backlog and working directly with development teams in an Agile or Scrum framework.
• Strong understanding of financial crime prevention, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), Sanctions Screening, and Fraud Detection.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and regulatory concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A data-driven mindset and a track record of using data to inform product decisions.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with financial crime tools and platforms (e.g., Transaction Monitoring systems, Case Management tools, Sanctions Screening software).
• Experience with multiple products and complex stakeholder groups.

Commercial Finance Analyst / Commercial Data Analyst

Type of contract: Permanent

Hybrid model: 3 days per week in the office

The role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Finance team in Malta. This is an exciting opportunity for an accountant who is eager to step into a dynamic environment and contribute to a business operating at the forefront of the sports betting industry.

As Commercial Finance Analyst, you will manage complex billing processes, ensure financial integrity across systems, and support key financial reporting and analysis activities.

You’ll be a vital link between Finance, Commercial, and other internal and external stakeholders, helping drive accurate and timely reporting and contributing to Kambi’s continued growth and success.

As a Commercial Finance Analyst your day-to-day work will look like:

• Preparing calculations and monthly invoices for our Odds Feed customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness, compliance with complex contractual terms, and adherence to tight deadlines.
• Calculate and prepare monthly supplier charges for live data costs, based on detailed contractual terms.
• Monthly reconciliations of sporting events to data suppliers
• Ensure ongoing financial integrity of our Odds Feed reporting database (via Looker).
• Process month-end revenue journals and third-party data supplier costs into Sage X3 each month.
• Produce monthly reporting of Odds Feed revenues, segmented by customer, region, and revenue stream.
• Report monthly profitability analysis of live event income and data supplier costs to relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the forecasts of the group for their relevant parts.
• Maintain a register of key financial information for relevant customer and data supplier contracts.
• Contribute to various ad hoc projects aimed at improving revenue processes and overall finance operations.
• Provide secondary support to the Commercial Finance Manager and wider finance team as required.

You’ll be a great fit for the role, if you:

• Have experience either from the gaming industry or from Big 4/equivalent who have worked on gaming industry clients.
• Have exceptional Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets and BI tools such as Looker (or equivalent).
• Have a strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail, with proven experience handling complex calculations.
• Have excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive mindset, with a drive to improve processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge and passion for the sports betting and/or gambling industry is a significant advantage.
• Experience with accounting systems, particularly Sage X3, is desirable.
• Experience or understanding of revenue share contracts is a plus.
