As the Creative Director, Interactive & Retail Experiences, you are the architect of the "magic moment"—that split second when a user touches a device and understands exactly why they need it. Reporting to the GCD of Emerging Experiences, you will own the digital manifestation of Google hardware and software in the physical world.
Your domain is the screen, but your context is the store. You will lead the creation of world-class interactive demos for global retail environments (Google Store, Best Buy, etc.) and event activations. You are a hybrid creative leader: part UX architect, part product designer, and part storyteller, capable of translating complex AI features into intuitive, playful, and "Google Grade" interactions.

We’re looking for a Senior Art Director who is fluent in digital design, strong in visual storytelling, and comfortable creating high-quality work at speed. You’ll bring both conceptual thinking and pixel-perfect execution, along with AI fluency to help evolve and activate an established brand system across multiple sub-brands and channels.
This is not a role focused on building new brands from scratch. It’s about taking an existing brand system and bringing it to life — pushing it forward thoughtfully, expressing it with clarity and consistency, and elevating the work at scale. You’ll operate within a complex, multi-brand ecosystem, creating concepts, visual systems, and executions that feel fresh while remaining unmistakably on-brand.

This role is remote, but the team operates on Pacific Time (PST/PDT). Candidates must be able to work primarily within these hours.

Summary
We’re looking for a highly talented Graphic Designer with a refined eye and a strong point of view to help bring the Parachute brand to life across every touchpoint. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and executing creative assets across channels, ensuring a cohesive, elevated, and performance-driven visual expression of the brand.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of brand identity, a passion for thoughtful, effective design, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Motion design and video editing skills are a strong plus.

Variety is looking for a Motion Designer with a distinct visual voice to define how one of entertainment's most storied brands tells stories through motion. This is a creative-first role for someone who sees graphics not as decoration but as the primary vehicle for editorial storytelling.
The ideal candidate lives and breathes entertainment - they understand Hollywood, its history, and the cultural conversations shaping the industry right now.
You'll work directly with Variety's Head of Video to build and own the visual language of our editorial video operation. One day could be spent designing a graphics template for Directors on Directors; the next, creating a fully animated explainer breaking down the box office landscape. The work spans short-form social content to long-form editorial series, and you'll have real creative ownership over how it looks.

The Senior Designer is an integral member of the Creative Department, primarily responsible for the creation of immersive experiences across in-person and digital channels for a range of brands. This consists of driving the design process, integrating with strategists and designers from within the Creative team, and collaborating with internal + external cross-functional teams to ensure client needs are being met with premium design ideas and creative solutions. The Senior Designer will be a critical component in the generation of 360 marketing campaigns, developing art direction and new branding, creating still and motion graphics, driving production art and participating in all aspects of the creative process.
The hands-on nature of event marketing work requires a willingness to observe, adapt, research, explore, execute, revise, and refine creative elements in a fast-paced environment. The superstar that fills this role will embrace interdisciplinary creative projects, multi-tasks with ease, have an insatiable appetite for design, thrive when working with top-notch brands, and have an excellent attitude that inspires others.

Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, UI/ UX design, Product Design, or similar discipline.

Compensation Range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually. This is the pay range OBE believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on level of experience, relevant skills, professional certifications, market pay, and demand for the role. OBE reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, Benefits include: medical/dental/vision insurance, employer paid basic life and personal accident insurance. Also included: Annual Profit Sharing/Bonus Plan based on the company’s performance and your individual performance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, PTO, STD/LTD insurance benefits.
