PhysicsX is developing a platform used by Data Scientists and Simulation Engineers to build, train, and deploy Deep Physics Models. The core of this platform relies on handling massive volumes of complex simulation data, enabling high-fidelity multi-physics simulation through AI inference.

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our product team. You will be one of a small team of Front-end Engineers, collaborating in a cross-functional team with autonomy to drive implementation decisions. You will build and evolve the frontend that brings our platform to life — from rich 3D visualisations of simulation data to seamless API integrations powering complex ML workflows. You will design composable frontend architectures, optimise performance for data-heavy interfaces, and ensure our engineers and scientists can interact intuitively with massive datasets and simulation results.

As a senior engineer, you will also play a key role in shaping technical direction — authoring Technical Decision Records, mentoring less experienced engineers, and driving the standards that keep our platform reliable, secure, and performant. This is a role for a builder who loves crafting exceptional user experiences as much as they love designing robust frontend architectures.

What You Will Do

• Build and evolve a frontend platform that supports complex simulation and ML workflows — from 3D visualisations to seamless API integrations and data-heavy interfaces.
• Design and implement composable frontend architectures and component systems, including micro-frontend patterns, to enable scalable and maintainable development.
• Optimise user experience through advanced caching strategies, performance monitoring, layout and paint optimisation, and accessibility best practices.
• Design and implement advanced state management and data flow patterns to handle the demands of real-time simulation data and complex user interactions.
• Own your work end-to-end — from architectural design through to deployment and maintenance in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Define performance standards and SLAs for the services you own; diagnose and resolve complex performance bottlenecks in rendering, layout, and data handling.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on the implementation of security risk mitigation strategies and performance optimisations for frontend applications.
• Drive best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and infrastructure-as-code; build and maintain deployment pipelines including zero-downtime and multi-service deployments.
• Author and review Technical Decision Records; participate in Technology Radar reviews to evaluate and adopt new tools and approaches.
• Mentor junior engineers, facilitate technical discussions, build consensus around decisions, and translate research needs into well-defined technical requirements.

What You Bring to the Table

• Architectural versatility — proven track record building web-based user interfaces using a variety of architectural approaches — SPAs, server-rendered applications, hybrid architectures, micro-frontends — with a critical perspective on when each is the right choice. Experience with React and TypeScript is expected, but your identity is not defined by them.
• Web platform depth — strong understanding of how browsers work: rendering pipelines, layout and paint, networking, caching, the JavaScript event loop, and Web APIs. You optimise from first principles, not from framework-specific recipes.
• API and data handling maturity — experience designing frontends that integrate with complex backends via REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, and SSE, with attention to caching strategies, data access patterns, and forward compatibility.
• Reliability and observability mindset — experience defining performance standards and SLAs, implementing monitoring/alerting, and optimising observability in production environments.
• Security and accessibility awareness — familiarity with OAuth/JWT, XSS/CSRF prevention, WCAG, and ARIA standards; experience collaborating with backend teams on security risk mitigation.
• CI/CD and deployment expertise — hands-on experience building and optimising CI/CD pipelines (e.g. NX, GitHub Actions, monorepos), including multi-service and zero-downtime deployment strategies.
• Data visualisation experience — building rich, interactive visualisations using libraries such as Plotly, ECharts, Three.js, VTK, or WebGL to expose complex simulation data to end-users.
• Diagnostic and optimisation skills — a proactive mindset with the ability to identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks from first principles — in rendering, networking, and data processing — rather than relying on framework-level fixes.
• Communication and leadership — excellent communication skills to discuss data needs with research scientists and translate them into technical specifications. Experience mentoring engineers and facilitating technical decisions.

Ideally

• Polyglot Frontend Thinking: comfort working beyond the JavaScript ecosystem — whether that means WebAssembly, compiled-to-JS languages, or non-SPA architectures. Willingness to reach for the right tool rather than the familiar one.
• 3D and GPU Technologies: deep experience with WebGL, WebGPU, or WebAssembly for high-performance rendering of simulation data, meshes, and point clouds.
• Design Sensibility: understanding of the limitations and trade-offs of design, layout, and typography constraints in the browser, with the ability to work with designers to reach a middle ground.
• Advanced Testing Techniques: experience with fuzzing, deterministic simulation testing, or fault injection in production systems; strong foundation in E2E and integration testing across different architectural patterns.
• Domain Knowledge: understanding of 3D geometry processing (meshes, point clouds) and the specific data structures used in physics-based simulations.

The Role

The Principal Software Engineer role at PhysicsX is an individual contributor role with leadership and collaboration expectations. The Principal is expected to be an effective technical thought-partner to non-technical stakeholders, and is expected to contribute strongly to an environment of growth and development in the craft of software engineering across the organisation.

Engineering Applications make PhysicsX's AI platform usable by engineers in their daily work. The product group creates workflows and interfaces that span the engineering lifecycle, from design through manufacturing to operations, enabling engineers to harness AI capabilities. The suite ranges from ready-to-use applications that ship with the platform for engineers to use directly to a composable set of extensible components for teams who need to go further. Engineering Applications ensure that impactful AI capabilities are accessible to customers at scale.

What you will do

• Engage with product managers, designers, and users of Reference Applications to fully understand the what and why of the product’s functional requirements.
• Partner with the product leadership of Reference Applications to define the art of the possible with ambitious pragmatism, defining the how and when of product development.
• Take responsibility and accountability for the implementation of components and services by a team of software engineers, and actively participate in development by contributing to source-code, documentation, and CI/CD workflows.
• Design and maintain services that are fully interoperable with PhysicsX’s other platform services, while remaining independently versioned, tested, and deployed.
• Define, evolve, and advocate for a scalable, modular front-end architecture that enables reuse, rapid development, and long-term maintainability.
• Implement standardised instrumentation for metrics, logs, and traces and take responsibility for the teams’ prompt remediation of issues in production.
• Establish performance benchmarking to measure compliance with non-functional requirements, right-size infrastructure requests, and provide appropriate SLAs.
• Participate in establishing company-wide software engineering standards through engagement with the software engineering guild.
• Participate in the growth and development of software engineers.
• Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of software engineers.

• Monorepo platform experience: Turborepo/Nx/Workspaces, with ownership of shared tooling, build pipelines, and DX abstractions across multiple frontend packages.
• Advanced TypeScript: conditional types, mapped types, and template literal types, with the ability to design type-safe API layers (tRPC, Zod, OpenAPI codegen)
• Build toolchain depth: Vite internals, custom plugin authoring, bundle analysis, and measurable build performance optimisation.
• Large-dataset rendering: virtualisation strategies (TanStack Virtual), WebGL/Canvas/WebGPU for high-performance visualisation.
• Server state architecture: TanStack Query or equivalent, cache invalidation strategy, optimistic updates, background refetching, and avoiding over-fetching at scale.
• Proficiency in Python and Go, with experience in other languages a plus (Rust, C++).
• A strong understanding of the machine learning development lifecycle.

Who we are

The role 

Collaborating closely with our dynamic team of product designers and engineers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of frontend at Helsing. Embracing a hands-on approach, you'll not only lead by example, but also spearhead the development and expansion of a tight-knit team that works across a wide-range of internal teams and products. Your primary emphasis will be on enhancing usability, creating re-usable foundations for multiple front-ends and optimising the end-user experience across the entire company.

The day-to-day

• Review code contributions, proposals, and RFCs from colleagues. At Helsing we strongly believe that unblocking others takes precedence over spending more time on your own work.

• Own the user interface end-to-end, from early wireframes and prototypes through to performant, production-ready code. You'll work closely with product and UX colleagues to shape how users interact with our tools. We have relatively few frontend engineers at Helsing; this means that we operate at a high level of autonomy and there are plenty of opportunities for impactful work.

• Propose and implement new features, capabilities, tooling, visualizations, or even full products across our stack. We encourage our engineers to look beyond their immediate team for missed opportunities, and to speak up when they identify one.

• Establish and evolve our React component library, ensuring consistency, reusability, and alignment with our visual design standards across multiple front-ends.

• Collaborate with others beyond your team and share knowledge with the wider frontend community at Helsing. Contribute to establishing our frontend engineering standards. Build or adopt tools that help enforce these standards, or make our frontend engineers more efficient in a different way.

• Become a mentor, find a mentee, and help support and develop our interviewing pipeline. The people make or break the company, and we want as many engineers as possible to be part of fostering and growing the organisation.

• Share your experience and technical know-how with other Helsingers. We host tech talks, get together for smaller "let's learn together" groups, run topical office hours or reading groups (e.g., on React or TypeScript), etc. to help each other get better with time.

• Connect with, understand, and make changes to backend systems as needed. Our backends are primarily written in Rust, and you'll need to be comfortable navigating unfamiliar codebases to unblock yourself and improve integrations. Rust experience is not a prerequisite to this role, though - you can learn that over time as needed.

• Present your work at our weekly demo sessions. We want engineers to come together around what they are working on and to feel like they are not endlessly squirrelling away at something that doesn't matter. To that end, we host (and actively work towards) demo sessions that allow early feedback, celebration of progress, and a better shared understanding of everything that goes on at Helsing.

You should apply if you

• Can write legible, maintainable, and performant frontend code - ideally using TypeScript and React.

• Are experienced with APIs and server-client communication like REST and GraphQL.

• Have experience with running a live production software.

Nice to have

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance Advanced Capabilities team in our London office. The team is a strategic/future-looking organisation focused on delivering 3 core components - Capability Strategy, Mission Advantage and Maneuver Advantage. Leveraging analysis, Wargaming and Warfighter centric thinking, the team guides how Maneuver Dominance incubates, builds and deploys the capabilities needed to dominate in a future fight.

ABOUT THE JOB

This will be the first software engineering hire for our Advanced Capabilities team in London. You will lead development of modelling & simulation applications, infrastructure and services to enable operations analysis and wargaming in support of our product development and our customers. The ideal candidate would be practical, hands-on and a self starter with high growth potential.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Work on challenging problems in a fast-paced environment across our portfolio of programs and products.
• Develop our Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) framework to support mission-level concept exploration, tactics development, autonomous behaviors, and Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) product development.
• Develop simulation models for sensors, comms, movement, tactical behaviors, weapon effects, electronic effects, command and control, and others.
• Partner with Operations Analysis team members to deliver simulations capabilities that enable efficient Monte Carlo and Design of Experiments analysis.
• Partner with capability teams like Mission Autonomy to deliver simulation capabilities to help accelerate development.
• Work with multi-disciplinary subject matter experts to understand and adequately model pertinent sub-system, system and system of system dynamics.

REQUIRED SKILLS

We are looking for a Field Logistics Associate to join our rapidly growing team in London, United Kingdom. The role of the Field Logistics Associate is one who manages and coordinates the movement of hardware, resources, & people at designated locations and/or in austere environments supporting our customers wherever they may be. The challenges you will encounter are innumerable and unpredictable, but you will be expected to take ownership of delivering the solution.

The logistics team has built a white glove service that is responsible for developing and executing Anduril’s strategy to deliver hardware and software to our customers where it is both mission critical and logistically challenging. This will require a breadth of understanding logistics, the ability to work across teams seamlessly, a deep appreciation for details, and the ability to learn new subject matters quickly.  As you execute on service delivery for our customers and team members, you have the unique opportunity to improve and grow our logistics capabilities. You will be charged with helping Anduril teams solve exceptional challenges, unblocking issues, and establishing procedures, all with the intention of making sure our customers missions are being met.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Collaborate cross functionally with business leaders, program managers, and external stakeholders to ensure project is executed successfully & on time.
• Act as the advance party / remain behind element to assist with packouts for demos, deployments, exercises, and tradeshows.

As a Test & Evaluation Engineer you will have responsibility for the planning, execution and reporting of testing maritime and submersible products. • Experience of product development or certification within a regulated industry such as maritime, aerospace, or energy
• Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, equipment schematics, electrical diagrams, etc.)
• Experience performing functional checkouts and tests, and diagnosing issues discovered during these processes
• Familiarity with Defence and Civil Maritime Regulations in the context of sub-surface test operations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Aptitude for building internal and external relationships, and utilizing these connections in the pursuit of product excellence and mission success
• Ability to own a variety of tasks in an autonomous environment
• Able to work extended hours as required
• Valid driver's license

Anduril is seeking a Stress Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team in our London office. The Maneuver Dominance (MD) Team at Anduril develops aerial robotic systems designed to operate in large coordinated teams in concert with ground maneuver forces. We are chartered to add to Anduril’s list of successful aerial drone platforms like Ghost, Altius, or Roadrunner. Here you will work on core product development for unmanned rotorcraft and complex systems, including but not limited to analysis and development of a novel payload carriage and release system, analysis and testing of the system. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own and drive the analysis of the payload carriage and release system for a novel aircraft type.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Anduril’s Deployment Operations group is seeking a Technical Operations Engineer to join our team. This is a UK based role. As a member of Anduril’s Technical Operations team, you will be responsible for deploying and supporting Anduril’s products all over the world. You will go forward with products early on in their lifecycle and work with engineering teams to iteratively improve them over time. The challenges you will encounter are innumerable and unpredictable, but you will be expected to take ownership of delivering the technical solution.

Role Overview 

With a deep understanding of our engineering, technology, and customers’ missions, Mission Engineers drive the successful deployment of CHAOS capabilities directly into the hands of users. Mission Engineers design and implement new software from the ground up, integrate and analyse data from our edge sensors, apply and develop machine learning and AI solutions to real-world challenges, and test and refine CHAOS products in customer environments. Throughout, Mission Engineers deliver vital feedback to help shape product direction and ensure our technology evolves in lockstep with real-world mission needs. 

Responsibilities 

• Test, deploy, and troubleshoot CHAOS products in the field. 
• Understand customer workflows and translate them into clear product and technical requirements. 
• Collaborate with core engineering teams to prioritise feedback, shape product direction, and drive delivery. 
• As an early engineer on a growing team, design and build new software products that bridge the gap between CHAOS capabilities and customer mission needs.

 Minimum Requirements 

• Strong technical foundation, ideally with a background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. 
• Proven programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar technologies.

• At least one year of relevant work experience, especially in a defence context.

The Venue Sourcing Manager will consistently deliver exceptional service to our clients through excellent meetings management. This position is an integral part of our Venue Sourcing/ Client Solutions team and will be responsible for managing the venue sourcing process for various events as a dedicated resource within our Solutions division for a management consultancy firm.

What You Would Get To Do

This role is primarily responsible for leading and managing a team of corporate event planners, overseeing delivery across multiple client and company initiatives, and supporting C-level and senior stakeholders. The Team Lead works closely with the Team Manager on a dedicated client account, providing strategic and on-the-ground insight into the client’s business. The Mission

• Independently build complex multi-physics models, from geometry clean-up and meshing through to simulation, post-processing, and integration of experimental data for validation, spanning single-phase, multiphase, and coupled CFD-DEM regimes.
• Develop and validate DEM models of granular and particle-laden systems, including fluidised beds, pneumatic conveying, mills, aerosols, suspensions and coating processes, applying appropriate contact models, size distributions, and coupling strategies.

• Work at the intersection of CAE and data science to generate high-quality simulation datasets for training machine learning and deep learning surrogate models. Apply smart sampling strategies to capture the design space efficiently and reduce computational cost.
• Leverage Flux (our cloud platform) and on-premise HPC resources to accelerate high-fidelity modelling, going beyond standard setup practices to achieve genuine performance gains at scale.
• Continuously improve engineering best practices, adapting simulation model setups and outputs to support the development of deep learning surrogates and physics-informed ML models.

The Role

PhysicsX is building a new category of engineering software — one where physics AI models don't just augment existing workflows, but fundamentally redefine what's possible in design and operations. Our Product team is expanding a portfolio of Engineering Applications that bring this capability directly to the engineers, scientists, and operators who need it most. You'll join the Forward Deployed Applications team, a group that sits at the intersection of product development and customer delivery. Your primary mission is to work closely with customers on real engineering problems — and to turn what you learn into generalised, reusable product capabilities that raise the ceiling for every PhysicsX user. This isn't a traditional customer-facing role or a pure product role: it's the feedback loop that keeps our product grounded in genuine engineering value. You'll work alongside simulation engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, and backend developers, with significant autonomy in how you approach problems, and a direct line of influence over the direction of our growing application suite.

What you will do

• You'll spend meaningful time in conversations — with users unpacking real engineering workflows, with Delivery teams translating those needs into concrete requirements, and with the Product team debating which patterns are worth generalising. Expect to be a connector as much as a builder, and to develop a strong instinct for which customer insights have product-wide implications.
• You'll be expected to bring both rigour and initiative: writing clean, well-considered code, contributing to architecture decisions, and pushing back constructively when a bespoke solution risks diverging from the product vision. This team operates with a high degree of autonomy, and the expectation is that you use it thoughtfully.
• On any given day you might be designing a 3D visualisation that makes a fluid dynamics simulation instantly legible to a non-specialist, building a React interface that surfaces AI model outputs in a live operational context, or refactoring a one-off delivery prototype into something the whole platform can build on. • Create API tests using mock services, contribute to service documentation, understand authentication flows and middleware patterns, and contrast architectural approaches such as REST, RPC, gRPC, and GraphQL to make informed design decisions.

The Role

The Senior Simulation Data Engineer will extend and operate the infrastructure that powers our research Data Factory. You will be responsible for the end-to-end pipeline: from geometry preparation and simulation orchestration through validation, post-processing, and delivery to downstream ML training systems, using PhysicsX platform orchestration services where synergies exist.

This role sits at the intersection of HPC engineering and data engineering. You will orchestrate long-running CFD simulations at scale, build robust data pipelines, and ensure that every simulation we produce meets rigorous quality standards.

What you will do

Simulation Orchestration

• Extend and operate the Data Factory infrastructure that orchestrates thousands of CFD simulations per day on cloud compute
• Design and operate job scheduling systems that maximize throughput while handling failures gracefully
• Build monitoring and alerting to detect simulation failures, convergence issues, and resource bottlenecks early

Data Pipeline Engineering

• Build high-performance data pipelines that move simulation outputs from solver results to ML-ready training data
• Implement geometry preprocessing workflows (mesh preparation, morphing, watertightness validation)
• Design and operate post-processing pipelines: surface decimation, field interpolation, format conversion
• Optimize I/O performance for large mesh datasets

Data Quality and Validation

• Implement comprehensive validation checks at every pipeline stage: solver convergence, physical field bounds, post-processing fidelity
• Build systems that capture and quarantine bad data before they reach training pipelines
• Track and report data quality metrics across the entire Data Factory
• Work towards full provenance: training samples should be traceable back to their source geometry and simulation configuration

Integration and Delivery

• Deliver validated datasets to downstream ML training infrastructure in formats optimized for efficient data loading
• Design data versioning and cataloging systems that support reproducible training runs
• Work closely with ML Infrastructure Engineers to ensure smooth handoff between data production and model training
• Support multi-dataset training workflows

What you bring to the table

• Ability to scope and effectively deliver projects, prioritising activity as needed.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse issues, identify causes, and recommend solutions quickly.

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, HPC engineering, or simulation infrastructure.

  • Production data pipeline experience: you've built and operated pipelines that process large volumes of data reliably
  • Proficiency in Python for pipeline development and automation

PhysicsX is building a platform that enables Data Scientists and Simulation Engineers to build, train, and deploy Deep Physics Models. The platform handles massive volumes of complex simulation data and enables high-fidelity multi-physics simulation through AI inference.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in building data platforms. You won't just be moving data from A to B - you'll be architecting and building the distributed systems, services, and APIs that form the backbone of our platform. Senior Platform Engineer – Platform Operations London (Hybrid) | Engineering | Full Time

The Role

As PhysicsX scales, the operational health, cost efficiency and developer experience of our platform become as important as the underlying infrastructure. Our Platform Operations team is responsible for everything that makes the platform observable, governable and pleasant to work with, from the monitoring stack and alerting pipelines through to the developer portal, CI/CD tooling and cloud cost management.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join Platform Operations. This is a role for someone with a strong DevOps background who cares deeply about operational excellence, developer experience and the sustainable cost of running infrastructure at scale. You will work closely with Platform SRE, Core Infrastructure and product engineering teams to ensure the platform is always observable, efficient and easy to consume.

What You Will Do

• Own and evolve the platform monitoring and observability stack, including Grafana, Loki, Mimir and associated alerting and dashboarding practices.
• Define and maintain SLO dashboards and alerting policies that give platform and product teams clear visibility into system health.
• Lead the adoption and operation of Backstage as the internal developer portal, building and maintaining plugins, service catalogue entries and golden path templates that improve the developer experience across PhysicsX.
• Drive FinOps practices across the platform, including cloud cost attribution, showback and chargeback reporting, and cost anomaly detection across multi cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain IAM and permissions policies across AWS, GCP, Azure and equivalent cloud providers, ensuring least privilege access is enforced consistently.

What You Bring to the Table

• Observability stack expertise – deep familiarity with the Grafana ecosystem, including Loki for log aggregation, Mimir or Prometheus for metrics, and Grafana for dashboarding and alerting. Experience designing observability strategies for distributed systems.
• FinOps and cost observability – practical experience implementing cloud cost attribution and reporting across multi cloud or multi tenant environments, including familiarity with tools such as OpenCost, Kubecost or cloud native cost management consoles.

Senior Software Engineer – Platform Runtime London (Hybrid) | Engineering | Full Time

The Role

PhysicsX is developing a platform used by Data Scientists and Simulation Engineers to build, train and deploy Deep Physics Models. As the platform scales to meet the demands of world class engineering teams, we are investing heavily in the runtime layer that underpins all workload scheduling, lifecycle management and compute orchestration.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Runtime team. This role sits at the heart of how we extend Kubernetes to support the complex, long running and resource intensive workloads that PhysicsX customers depend on. You will own the design and delivery of Kubernetes Operators and runtime components that define how our platform provisions, manages and recovers workloads at scale.

This is a deeply technical, hands on engineering role. You will work closely with Platform SRE, Data Integration and product teams to define runtime contracts, surface observability and ensure the platform is reliable, extensible and operable in production.

• Design, build and operate production grade Kubernetes Operators that manage the full lifecycle of PhysicsX workloads, including provisioning, scaling, health management and graceful termination.
• Own the runtime architecture across multi cloud and on premises environments, ensuring consistent behaviour regardless of where compute runs.
• Drive the adoption and evolution of service mesh capabilities using Istio, including traffic management, mutual TLS and observability integration.
• Design and implement virtual cluster strategies using vCluster or equivalent tooling to support multi tenancy and workload isolation at the runtime layer.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to define and maintain clear runtime interfaces and contracts.
• Establish and own reliability practices for runtime components, including SLOs, alerting and incident playbooks.
• Mentor engineers across the platform organisation and contribute to engineering standards, design reviews and technical direction.
• Evaluate and integrate upstream Kubernetes ecosystem tooling, contributing back where appropriate.

What You Bring to the Table

• Kubernetes Operator experience – you have designed, built and operated at least one production Kubernetes Operator. This is a firm requirement for the role.
• Golang expertise – 3 or more years of professional Golang development. You write idiomatic, testable and maintainable Go and are comfortable leading code reviews and establishing patterns.
• Deep Kubernetes knowledge – you understand the Kubernetes API machinery, reconciliation loops, controller runtime, admission webhooks and custom resource definitions inside out.
• Service mesh experience – hands on experience with Istio in a production environment, covering traffic shaping, observability, mTLS and policy enforcement.
• Multi tenancy and isolation – experience with vCluster, Capsule or equivalent tooling to provide workload and namespace isolation within shared Kubernetes clusters.
• Distributed systems background – a strong understanding of how to design and troubleshoot distributed systems at scale, including consensus, failure modes and recovery strategies.
• Multi cloud and on premises – experience operating Kubernetes across multiple cloud providers and on premises infrastructure, with an appreciation of the differences in networking, storage and permission management.
• Software engineering foundations – you are comfortable writing production code and are expected to do so regularly.
• Platform engineering mindset – you think in terms of internal products, developer experience and long term maintainability, not just delivery.
• AI infrastructure tools familiarity - You are familiar and/or have professional experience with software suites typically used to manage data and pipelines at scale, such as Kubeflow, Kedro, Kubetorch among others.

• Experience contributing to open source Kubernetes projects or the wider CNCF ecosystem.

We are building core infrastructure that is reliable, secure, scalable and reproducible across multiple cloud providers and on premises environments. As the platform evolves to serve increasingly complex engineering workloads, the foundational infrastructure layer becomes ever more critical.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform SRE Core Infrastructure team. This role is responsible for the design, provisioning and operation of the shared infrastructure that the entire PhysicsX platform depends on. You will work across infrastructure as code, Kubernetes cluster management, secrets management, GPU drivers, networking and multi tenancy architecture to ensure the platform is dependable, scalable and secure.

This is a role for an engineer who combines deep infrastructure expertise with a reliability engineering mindset and an appreciation for the developer experience of the teams that consume the platform.

What You Will Do

• Own the design and delivery of core infrastructure across multi cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on premises environments using Terraform and Crossplane.
• Architect and operate Kubernetes clusters supporting both single tenant and multi tenant workloads, with a strong emphasis on isolation, performance and reliability.
• Define and implement infrastructure provisioning patterns using Crossplane compositions and Terraform modules, ensuring reproducibility and auditability across environments.
• Design and operate secrets management solutions, including dynamic secret provisioning, rotation and fine grained access control integrated with cluster identity.
• Manage and maintain GPU driver configurations and accelerated compute node pools, ensuring compatibility and performance for AI and simulation workloads.
• Own cluster networking design including CNI selection, Istio service mesh integration, ingress strategy and cross cluster connectivity.
• Implement and maintain vCluster based multi tenancy to provide strong workload isolation within shared infrastructure.

• Establish SLOs and reliability targets for core infrastructure components and lead the response to production incidents.
• Partner with security and platform teams to enforce infrastructure governance, network policies and compliance controls.

What You Bring to the Table

• Kubernetes depth – 5 or more years of professional experience operating Kubernetes in production. You have a thorough understanding of cluster architecture, the scheduler, networking, storage and the API lifecycle. Kubernetes certifications such as CKAD, CKA or CKS are highly desirable.
• Crossplane expertise – significant hands on experience designing and operating Crossplane compositions, providers and managed resources in production environments.
• Terraform proficiency – strong experience authoring, structuring and operating Terraform at scale, including state management, module design and CI integration.
• Multi cloud and on premises – practical experience operating infrastructure across more than one cloud provider and on premises environments, with an understanding of the differences in identity, networking and storage.
• Multi tenancy architecture – experience designing and implementing both single tenant and multi tenant Kubernetes architectures, with strong views on isolation, resource governance and operational overhead.
• Secrets management – experience with tools such as Vault, External Secrets Operator or cloud native secret stores, including dynamic provisioning and rotation.
• Networking – solid knowledge of Kubernetes networking, CNI plugins, Istio service mesh and ingress patterns. Experience with cross cluster or hybrid connectivity is valuable.
• vCluster and virtual clusters – experience using vCluster or similar tooling to provide lightweight, isolated Kubernetes environments within shared clusters.
• GPU and accelerated compute – familiarity with GPU driver management, device plugins and the operational considerations of running accelerated workloads in Kubernetes.
• Kubernetes Operators – at least lightweight experience writing or extending Kubernetes Operators or controllers, ideally in Golang or Python.

The Role

The Principal ML Infrastructure Engineer will extend and operate the infrastructure that powers our research model training, fine-tuning, and serving pipelines. You will be embedded within our Research function, partnering directly with ML engineers and research scientists to ensure they can train Large Physics Models efficiently and reliably at scale.

Team Context

In this role, you will be vertically embedded in Research, working daily with:

• Research Scientists who determine the model architectures and methods
• ML Engineers who implement and develop the models
• Simulation Data Engineers who are accountable for upstream data pipelines

You will have end-to-end responsibilities over the research infrastructure, with the autonomy to make architectural decisions and the responsibility to keep data flowing reliably.

Horizontally, you will be part of an infrastructure engineering group responsible for infrastructure across the company.

What you will do

Training Infrastructure

• Design and operate distributed training infrastructure for neural operator architectures (Transolver, Point Cloud Transformer, etc.) on our large NVIDIA DGX B200 platform.
• Optimize training pipelines for throughput, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency, including checkpointing strategies, gradient accumulation, and multi-node synchronization.
• Build and maintain experiment tracking and observability systems that give researchers clear visibility into training runs, hyperparameter sweeps, and model performance.

Data I/O and Performance

• Solve data loading bottlenecks for large-scale mesh datasets.
• Optimize data pipelines for efficient I/O from cloud storage, including prefetching, caching, and format optimization.
• Work with heterogeneous data sources of varying formats and resolutions.

Model Serving and Deployment

• Build serving infrastructure for pre-trained LPMs, supporting both zero-shot inference and uncertainty quantification (Monte Carlo Dropout).
• Design and implement model packaging pipelines for customer deployment. Models must run reliably in customer environments with fine-tuning capabilities.
• Ensure reproducibility: any model checkpoint should be deployable with consistent behaviour.

Platform and Tooling

• Improve developer experience for the Research team with fast iteration cycles, reliable CI/CD, clear debugging tools.
• Collaborate with the broader Infrastructure team on shared patterns and standards.

What you bring to the table

• Ability to scope and effectively deliver projects, prioritising activity as needed.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse issues, identify causes, and recommend solutions quickly.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially in a research setting. You can translate "the model isn't converging" into infrastructure hypotheses and solutions, and can bridge technical abstractions with implementations.
• 5+ years of experience building and operating ML infrastructure at scale:
  • Deep expertise in distributed training: you've debugged NCCL hangs, optimized collective communication, and know when to use FSDP vs. DDP vs. pipeline parallelism
  • Strong systems fundamentals: Linux, networking (including domain specific NVLink and InfiniBand), storage I/O, profiling and performance optimization
  • Production experience with Kubernetes and SLURM for job orchestration on GPU clusters
  • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch strongly preferred)
  • Experience with cloud GPU infrastructure; ideally CoreWeave or similar GPU/HPC-focused clouds

Ideally

• Experience with geometric deep learning or neural operators, ****architectures that operate on meshes, point clouds, or graphs
• Background in HPC for simulation engineering, familiarity with how CFD/FEA workflows generate and consume data
• Experience building model serving infrastructure with latency and throughput requirements

The Role

PhysicsX is building a new category of engineering software — one where physics AI models don't just augment existing workflows, but fundamentally redefine what's possible in design and operations. Our Product team is expanding a portfolio of Engineering Applications that bring this capability directly to the engineers, scientists, and operators who need it most. If you're excited by the challenge of turning cutting-edge AI and simulation research into tools that change how the world's most complex engineering problems get solved, this is the team to do it with.

You'll join the Forward Deployed Applications team, a group that sits at the intersection of product development and customer delivery. Your primary mission is to work closely with customers on real engineering problems — and to turn what you learn into generalised, reusable product capabilities that raise the ceiling for every PhysicsX user. This isn't a traditional customer-facing role or a pure product role: it's the feedback loop that keeps our product grounded in genuine engineering value. You'll work alongside simulation engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, and backend developers, with significant autonomy in how you approach problems, and a direct line of influence over the direction of our growing application suite.

What you will do

• You'll spend meaningful time in conversations — with users unpacking real engineering workflows, with Delivery teams translating those needs into concrete requirements, and with the Product team debating which patterns are worth generalising. Expect to be a connector as much as a builder, and to develop a strong instinct for which customer insights have product-wide implications.
• You'll be expected to bring both rigour and initiative: writing clean, well-considered code, contributing to architecture decisions, and pushing back constructively when a bespoke solution risks diverging from the product vision. This team operates with a high degree of autonomy, and the expectation is that you use it thoughtfully.
• On any given day you might be designing a 3D visualisation that makes a fluid dynamics simulation instantly legible to a non-specialist, building a React interface that surfaces AI model outputs in a live operational context, or refactoring a one-off delivery prototype into something the whole platform can build on. The problems are genuinely novel, and the solutions you build here will define what engineering software looks like next.
• Serve as an effective development lead and mentor across multiple levels of engineering seniority, drive adoption of best practices, and facilitate complex technical discussions and decisions with clarity and decisiveness.

The role

What you’ll do

• Partner directly with customers to assess their infrastructure requirements, security constraints, and deployment preferences, serving as the primary technical point of contact throughout the deployment lifecycle

What we’re looking for

• Experience in deploying Kubernetes clusters across a range of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and on-premise infrastructure
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Crossplane, Terraform, and Helm
• Understanding of networking, security, and observability in containerised environments
• Proven track record of working directly with external customers or clients
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including managing expectations and delivering on commitments
• Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset
• Comfortable presenting to technical and business stakeholders
• Self-motivated with strong project management and organisational skills to empower internal and external teams to prioritise effectively

The Role

As a Principal Security Engineer, you will partner closely with engineering teams to design and implement secure development practices, integrate security into our CI/CD pipeline, and lead security and design reviews.

You’ll bring deep expertise in DevSecOps, application security, hands-on experience securing web applications and APIs, and a strong understanding of modern development workflows. What you will do

• Architect and integrate security tooling directly into CI/CD pipelines to automate the detection and prevention of vulnerabilities, ensuring "shift-left" security at scale.
• Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews for web applications, APIs, and cloud services.
• Oversee the end-to-end product vulnerability lifecycle, from issue triage, prioritization, remediation support, with clear risk communication.
• Drive secure coding standards, develop playbooks, and provide hand-on training and mentorship to instill a security-first mindset across the organization.
• Design and scale secure development practices by collaborating cross-functionally with engineering teams throughout the entire software lifecycle.
• Engage with customers during security reviews

What you bring to the table

• 10+ years in security, with a focus on DevSecOps and security design reviews
• Hands-on experience with secure coding, OWASP Top 10, threat modeling, and SDLC integration
• Experience with GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD, IaC, and containerized environments
• Experience deploying and working with SAST tooling (e.g. Semgrep, Snyk)
• Experience developing in Python and Go.
• Track record of balancing pragmatism and security rigor in a fast-paced setting
• Strong communication skills

The Mission

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and opinionated Principal AI Engineer to define how AI agents transform Engineering workflows across industries such as Manufacturing, Aerospace, and Semi-conductor. You'll be building the foundations that power next-generation simulation and design tools used by industry-leading engineering teams. Our platform allows Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) and customers to build and deploy deep learning surrogates that solve massive engineering challenges.

Your mission is to architect the Agentic stack within this wider ecosystem. You will build a production-grade platform that enables our Product teams, FDEs, and customers to compose advanced AI workflows safely, transparently, and reliably.

• You will set the strategic direction for our platform's critical infrastructure and lead key implementation efforts.
• You are someone with the scar tissue of running agents in production.
• You have strong, reasoned opinions on emerging open standards (such as MCP, A2A, and ACP) and deep expertise in complex architectural patterns like durable execution and agent memory.
• You are passionate about building a world-class developer experience that transforms complex research into robust, deployed engineering solutions.

Core Responsibilities

You will serve as the principal architect for our Agentic ecosystem, responsible for the high-level design choices that define how agents run at PhysicsX. You will cover topics such as:

• Agent Observability: Own the implementation to enforce deep tracing, granular cost tracking, and observability across the lifecycle.
• Agent Deployment: Deliver an intuitive deployment lifecycle which simplifies questions around auth, discoverability and resource requirements.
• Agent Sandboxing: Architect secure environments to isolate and allow agents to operate safely.
• Agent Evals: Implement a stack that empowers domain experts to efficiently annotate traces, turning qualitative feedback into quantitative, reproducible evaluation datasets.
• Agent Governance: Implement robust identity and access patterns to ensure agents can safely and correctly act on behalf of users in a regulated enterprise environment.

The Tech Stack

• Core Platform: Python (Primary), Go or TypeScript (Secondary), Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.
• Agentic Infrastructure: LangGraph/LangChain, Temporal (Durable Execution), Vector DBs (Pinecone/Weaviate).
• Observability & Evals: OTel, LangSmith, Arize, Braintrust.

Who You Are

• An Architect at Heart: You have strong, reasoned opinions on Durable Execution vs. Standard Async, Vector Search vs. Keyword Search, and Prompt Management strategies.
• Platform-First: You care deeply about the Developer Experience (DevEx) of the Customers, FDEs consuming your platform. You build tools that make the "right way" the "easy way."
• Security-Minded: You understand the risks of allowing LLMs to execute code and access data, and you know how to mitigate them via rigid sandboxing and permissioning.

Qualifications

• Platform & Backend Foundations:
  • 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Backend, or SRE.
  • Strong proficiency in Python/Go, Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC (Terraform).
• Agentic & AI Engineering:
  • Production experience designing Agentic architectures (chains, tools, memory).
  • Familiarity with Agentic frameworks (LangGraph, PydanticAI) and patterns like durable execution.
  • Understanding of LLM-specific lifecycle issues: non-determinism, systematic evals, and token-based cost tracking.

Bonus Points

• Background in Engineering workflows or simulation platforms.
• Experience building internal developer platforms (IDPs).
