Why this role exists:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams within the Sports Business Unit, responsible for delivering all sports betting content and functionality for our B2B platform. The Sports BU owns end-to-end development of sports-related capabilities, including trading, feeds, risk management, mathematical models, odds services, and sportsbook content. This role combines people leadership, technical delivery ownership, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Trading, and Platform teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and high-performance sportsbook solutions.

What you’ll drive:

Team management & people development

• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans for team members.
• Address and resolve any conflicts or issues within the team promptly.
• Foster a collaborative environment where team members feel comfortable voicing their concerns.
• Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and other learning activities to keep the team updated with the latest technologies and best practices.

Project planning & delivery management

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Efficiently allocate resources to meet project demands and balance team workloads.
• Manage team schedules, including handling time-off requests and ensuring adequate coverage.

Quality assurance & technical governance

• Implement and enforce quality assurance processes and standards within the team.
• Ensure thorough testing and validation of deliverables before release.
• Review and approve technical designs, architecture, and code to maintain high-quality standards and ensure consistency.
• Ensure proper documentation of technical designs, system architecture, and code.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Process improvement & best practices

• Continuously seek ways to improve quality and efficiency in development processes.
• Promote agile methodologies and other best practices for software development.
• Identify areas for improvement in team processes and workflows. Implement changes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Promote the adoption of best practices in software development, including agile methodologies and lean processes.
• Track and analyze key performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Communication & stakeholder management

• Act as the primary point of contact between the team and upper management, as well as other departments.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team and across the organization.
• Report on team progress, challenges, and successes to stakeholders and management.
• Ensure transparency and alignment between team efforts and business goals.

• Experience in the betting / trading domain.
• Strong experience with C# / .NET in building scalable, high-load backend systems.
• Experience designing distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Solid knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Kafka or similar).
• Strong expertise in databases (SQL + NoSQL), including performance tuning and scaling.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Required:

• 3+ in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML — and ideally additional experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
• Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed code (.NET) and native code.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or similar), and a dedication to building accessible and inclusive software.
• Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading or asynchronous programming (where relevant).
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring other engineers, conducting code reviews, and making architecture-level decisions.
• Strong communication skills; ability to articulate tradeoffs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive consensus.
• A user-centric mindset: focus on building polished, intuitive, and accessible experiences for end users.

Preferred / Bonus:

• Experience with writing automated tests for UI — unit tests, integration tests, UI automation tests; familiarity with relevant testing frameworks.
• Experience with performance optimization for desktop apps (memory usage, startup time, rendering performance, high-DPI support, responsiveness under load).
• Experience with localization/globalization, right-to-left UI support, internationalization, accessibility for multiple regions.
• Familiarity with telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, logging, and error monitoring in desktop applications.
• Previous experience in shaping CI/CD workflows, release pipelines, and deployment strategies for desktop applications.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of feature areas or modules and drive them long-term, including maintenance, refactoring, and technical debt management.

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer (Mobile/Android) to take the lead in ensuring our global security products meet the highest bars of reliability. In this role, you won’t just run tests; you’ll architect and scale automation solutions for our VPN portfolio (HotspotShield, Betternet) and our flagship antivirus (UltraAV). Day to Day:

• Architect and evolve our Android automation framework (Espresso/Kakao-Cup) to support a growing portfolio of security products.
• Design sophisticated testing strategies for VPN-specific challenges, including network-dependent flows and testing under unstable or switching connection states.
• Work closely with developers and other QAs to troubleshoot and resolve issues, offering detailed bug reports.
• Uphold QA best practices and contribute to driving the QA strategy.
• Continuously explore new testing tools and methodologies to enhance the QA process.

What you bring to the table:

• At least 3 years of experience in automating UI tests for Android apps written in Kotlin
• Strong hands-on expertise with Espresso and Kakao-Cup, with the ability to test screens built in both Jetpack Compose and classic XML.
• Experience with Robolectric and Mockito for test infrastructure and mocking dependencies.
• You’re comfortable building and maintaining pipelines in CircleCI and using Bash/sh scripting for automation and result processing.
• Experience sharding and parallelizing tests using Flank, and configuring device matrices within Firebase Test Lab or similar emulators.
• An understanding of the specific challenges of testing VPN apps, such as network-dependent flows and handling connection-state flakiness.
• At least upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English

It would be great if you also had:

• Experience maintaining UI test suites across multiple apps in both mono- and multi-repo setups.
• High level of comfort with ADB, log analysis, and a working understanding of the Android build process via Gradle (Kotlin DSL).
• Experience testing A/B frameworks, including covering feature-flagged flows and variant-dependent UI.
• Familiarity with testing Google Play Billing integrations (subscriptions, purchase flows, and edge cases).
