Mission Summary:
Motional’s onboard autonomous driving system team works at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning, sensors, and hardware compute platforms to evolve Motional’s next-generation on-board autonomous driving system. As part of this team, the High Performance Compute Platform team is responsible for Motional’s current and next-generation onboard autonomous driving system. If you are a software engineer and love the idea of working on embedded AI hardware and software compute systems to create the next generation of autonomous vehicles, we would love to talk with you. We are hiring in a range of levels, from graduate engineers to Staff engineers.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design and develop infrastructure software on various hardware platforms for applications such as vision processing, radar systems, safety monitoring, etc., to be run on self-driving vehicles.
- Design test harnesses for embedded software components and full systems
- Provide technical mentorship to engineers.
- Proactively work with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex and interesting problems.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience with creating detailed requirements from use cases.
- Ability to lead a technical initiative, including breaking down work and guiding other engineers through execution.
- Experience writing software for embedded platforms in C and C++.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience working on embedded Linux / RTOSs.
- Experience working with networks (Ethernet, CAN etc.) and the common networking protocols.
- Experience with debugging on embedded platforms.
- Experience writing software in Python and experience doing automation with shell scripting.
- Experience working with ARM Cortex MCUs or Microprocessors.
Bonus Points (not required):
- Experience working with large data pipelines, and platforms that require deterministic execution.
- Experience using inter-system communication protocols such as I2C and SPI
- Experience deploying Machine Learning models.
- Experience working with GPUs.

Collaborating closely with the sales team, you will act as a technical expert during the sales process, helping to showcase the value of our products and services.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Develop an exhaustive understanding of what drives a customer’s business and what motivates their decision making
- Connect the dots from technology solutions, inclusive of the Everpure portfolio and others from the ecosystem, to measurable customer business outcomes
- Partner closely with account managers, specialists and channel partners to create a seamless and holistic customer experience and strategy to drive revenue growth and net new business
- Delight customers and teammates with your technical leadership and domain expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the DAS, NAS and SAN product spaces
- Take control of evaluations, benchmarks and system configurations
- Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations with vigor to customers and lock in the technical win with clients and prospective accounts
- Capture requirements and translate Customer’s business needs into innovative solutions to accelerate their growth and capacity
- Seek out and spur new opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing/validation
- Promote mutual roadmap and planning exchanges
- Liaise with product and technical marketing to produce materials (i.e. whitepaper, web presentations) that support overall alliance plans and objectives
- Stay current with the competition and ensure that materials accurately reflect the latest, differentiated solution positioning

WHAT YOU BRING:
- Pre-sales experience is required
- 5 or more years of relevant experience, mixed among technology, design, and communications required. Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts preferred
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions
- Must have a familiarity with modern web architecture a plus (LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, microservices architecture)
- Prior experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients
- Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN)
- Previous experience with Linux, NFS file systems and Linux distributed network environment
- Installation/configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystem, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, windowing systems
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP and general networking
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, k8s and microservices architectures a plus
- Curiosity and passion around technology and explaining and showing new technology platforms and concepts to customers
- Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements such as structured databases (SQL, Oracle) is highly desirable

Overview
We're looking to hire for our Data side of our AI team at Speechify. This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection to support our model training operations. We are able to build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work. We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join us.
What You’ll Do
- Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline
- Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
- Collaborate closely with our Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost to power our next-generation models.
- Collaborate with others on the AI Team and Speechify Leadership to craft the AI Team’s dataset roadmap to power Speechify’s next-generation consumer and enterprise products.
An Ideal Candidate Should Have
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
- Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
- Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (we use GCP)
- Experience with web crawlers, large-scale data processing workflows is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Motional’s Las Vegas office is located less than 10 miles from the Las Vegas strip at 730 E Pilot Road and is home to one of the largest fleets of self-driving vehicles. The city’s grid system of roads and being one of America’s “smart cities” allows for extensive research and development testing.
Mission Summary:
A Triage Specialist is responsible for accurately reviewing data that has been collected from, but not limited to Public Road Evaluation (PRE) testing and performing first-level Root Cause Analysis and quality checks for third party Triage Contractors. They communicate between Engineering and component teams and help to improve Triage outcomes. This role will identify gaps and assist in creating processes that will enhance Triage throughput. Efficiency and quality is critical, but ultimately, a Triage Specialist plays a key role in maintaining the safety standards of how the AV performs on the road.
Essential Duties:
- Perform Level 1 Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on several different test modalities, including, but not limited to, public roads, closed courses, and simulation
- Work closely with third-party Triage contractors to help improve quality and throughput
- Closely partner with the Autonomy Team to maintain a rapport for a rapid and iterative feedback loop
- Drive the issue identification, analysis/introspection, mitigation, and reporting lifecycle with the System Performance engineers
- Thoroughly understand the different components of the software stack and maintain knowledge as things change, including expected behaviors and visual representation across various tools
- Show initiative and be a valued team member in our innovative, fast-paced, technical environment where cooperative teamwork across locations is the norm
- Analysis of simulated AV scenarios
- Accurately categorize events into a range of categories and types
- Tag logs to reflect search optimization and metrics which are appropriate for each
- Create and manage events on internal Triage developed tooling
- Investigate any logs that have extenuating circumstances that may have previously prevented a reviewer from completing their task, ending in a fully reviewed log
- Participate in the recurring standup to address new concerns and assignments that may need to be undertaken. This may include new information on which routes need to be prioritized and changes in the Triage process that need to be implemented
- Oversee and aid in the training of new team members and provide feedback on any misidentified incidents, and coach best practices to improve team efficiency
- Provide feedback on newly implemented tools and ways that they have impacted the review process in both a critical and positive manner
- Create and update process documentation as needed

Mission Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Test Control Engineer to join our Team. In this strong intermediate level role, you will take full ownership of assigned tasks within defined test execution procedures and support the broader Test Engineering team in validating sophisticated autonomous systems. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will ensure our vehicles and systems are mission-ready through rigorous readiness checks, real-time monitoring, and low-level subsystem validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Execution & Readiness: Take full ownership of assigned tasks within defined test procedures, including specific checklist items and system monitoring. Perform all pre- and post-test readiness checks completely, accurately, and on time.
- Set up, configure, and operate AB Dynamics systems (GST, Launchpad), including target preparation and robot operation.
- Execute structured scenario-based testing using track infrastructure and robotic platforms.
- Subsystem Validation: Execute and support fault injection and low-level control testing for critical subsystems, including actuator-level behavior (throttle, brake, steering) against expected control responses and safety constraints.
- System Monitoring: Provide timely and accurate real-time monitoring of assigned system statuses during testing to ensure safe and successful execution.
- Technical Support: Execute basic configuration and setup of instrumentation and telemetry. Assist in on-vehicle and off-vehicle tests focusing on critical components such as control systems and perception.
- Utilize Vector tools (CANalyzer/CANoe) for live debugging, signal tracing, and post-test analysis.
- Documentation & Triage: Maintain accurate, organized, and complete logs of all test activities.
- Analyze vehicle logs (CAN, telemetry, system logs) to identify anomalies and support root cause analysis (RCA).
- Collaborate directly with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
- Issue Escalation: Promptly and clearly escalate all anomalies or issues to a senior engineer immediately upon detection.
- Simulation Support: Support testing within virtual environments, including Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) platforms.
Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with laptop computers, GSuite apps, and touchscreen smartphones. Strong familiarity with Linux environments and a general understanding of low-level vehicle control systems.
- Hardware & Tools: Basic exposure to automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and tools like CANalyzer or CANoe for bus-level debugging.
- Programming & Data: Basic exposure to scripting languages such as Python, Bash/Shell, or SQL. Ability to analyze logs to assess system behavior.
- Communication: Proactive communicator who raises issues early and clearly with minimal prompting. Demonstrated ability to operate as a self-starter in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Mission Summary:
Our Autonomous Driving Test Operators serve as the “eyes and ears” on the road for the engineering teams, providing subjective feedback and objective data as they navigate various real-world driving environments to validate the Autonomous Driving features. Our Test Operators are expected to hold safety at the highest level while operating, testing, and maintaining our Autonomous Vehicle Fleet (AVs). - Follow all safety policies and procedures while operating prototype-level Autonomous Vehicles on both defined and undefined routes, including a variety of geographic and environmental conditions.
- Operate in-vehicle data recording computers, including start/stop recording, data marking, and minor debugging when issues arise.
- Provide clear, accurate, and useful subjective feedback to the engineering teams on vehicle behavior observed.
- Ensures the safe operation of our test vehicles on public roads.
- Requires some initial travel for training and collaboration with other vehicle operators.
- Completes accident and incident reports as needed.

- Able to work in a team environment and operate AV with another person. Maintain cooperative behavior towards fellow team members, leads, supervisors, and managers.

- Candidates must have and maintain a clean driving record for the previous 3 years, no DUIs for previous 10 years, and never be at fault in an accident that resulted in injury to any person.
- Prior experience as an Operator/Driver for Autonomous Vehicles is preferred, or some type of internal or external training on Autonomous Vehicle technology.
- Experience and training on providing subjective feedback on vehicle behaviors and environment.
- Must be able to successfully complete in-house driving course/examination.
- Local knowledge in the test city of streets, geography, and environmental features that may be challenging for Autonomous Vehicles.
- Basic knowledge of how to navigate through a smartphone using applications to complete job duties.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Able to work days, nights, and weekends at any time.
- Must be able to use company communication systems and communicate clearly and effectively both written and verbally.
- Must be able to read a map and possess knowledge of the local area.
- Must maintain a professional appearance.
- At least ten (10) years total driving experience.
- Utilize JIRA/Confluence software to execute testing tickets and document historical data findings to a global audience.
- Basic understanding of technical software that may include; Linux, Atlassian Confluence, Jira, Gitlab, and Python.

- Data Analysis experience.
- 6 Months of NHTSA levels 2-5 Autonomous vehicle experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT exam.

Why this role is exciting
As (Senior) Fleet Support Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining, managing and optimizing our platform and network infrastructure for Vay’s commercial driverless fleet in Las Vegas. This role requires a unique combination of superb debugging skills, technical expertise, network configuration and troubleshooting. You'll be driving continuous improvement in our system, ensuring robust monitoring and alerts and providing L1 support for our commercial, driverless fleet. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our vehicle and remote driving station fleet which leads to high quality service that our users love.
What you’ll be driving
- L1 support and on-call for incidents and customer support requests involving vehicles, remote driving stations, equipment, network and cloud infrastructure and fleet configuration.
- Vehicle and remote driving station network infrastructure maintenance
- Supporting bring-up of new vehicle and remote driving stations
What are we looking for
- Extensive Linux experience
- Strong debugging skills for large, complex systems
- Experience in Python and bash scripting
- Experience with on-premise network maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with CI/CD tools (namely GitHub, CircleCI, Jenkins)
- Understanding and experience in Docker
Nice to have
- Experience in C and/or C++
- Understanding of CAN protocol
- Familiar with network security concepts
- Familiar with mobile network and telecommunication technologies (4G/5G)
