Build for Scale: Create and maintain contract templates and playbooks that make our legal processes efficient and consistent across the globe.
Protect our IP: Advise on intellectual property, licensing structures, and data protection to ensure Moniepoint’s innovations stay ours.
Drive Growth: Lead legal support for corporate finance, including debt and equity financing, and manage the legal lifecycle of M&A and investment deals.
Partner with Experts: Collaborate with finance, strategy, and external advisors to ensure our transactions are executed with precision.
Operational Excellence: Monitor our contractual health, ensuring we meet our obligations and stay ahead of regulatory shifts.
8–11 years of experience in commercial law, with a focus on technology and complex contract negotiations.
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and a Qualifying Certificate from the Nigerian Law School.
Demonstrated success in leading corporate finance and M&A transactions.
A deep understanding of the fintech or banking regulatory landscape.
Mastery in drafting documents that are clear, simple, and legally robust.
Experience in a fast-growth scale-up or global fintech environment.
Proven ability to manage high-value transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
You’re a Master of Context: You apply systems thinking to legal problems, balancing strict compliance with business reality.
You’re Relatable: You don’t hide behind "legalese." You speak the same language as our product and business teams.
You have Grit: You’re comfortable with the pressure of high-stakes deals and have the momentum to see them through to the finish line.
You’re Honest: You tell us the truth about risks, but you always bring a solution to the table.
You’re a Creator: You enjoy building better systems, not just following old ones.
Efficient Playbooks: You’ve launched a suite of contract templates that have reduced negotiation time for our commercial teams.
Seamless M&A: You’ve successfully led the legal workstream for at least one major strategic transaction or financing round.
Trusted Partnership: Business leaders view you as a "growth enabler" rather than a "blocker," seeking your advice early in the deal-making process.

As we enter a phase of accelerated growth, we are seeking a Technical Financial Crime Manager to own, design, and scale our fraud and AML detection capabilities.
