ROLE DESCRIPTION

Role Summary

The Frontend Developer will be responsible for designing and developing responsive, secure, and high‑performance user interfaces for enterprise applications. The role requires close collaboration with backend, integration, and UX teams to deliver scalable solutions aligned with Prudential’s digital standards and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React.js, Java‑based backend integration, and modern UI frameworks
• Translate UX/UI designs and business requirements into high‑quality, reusable code
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs
• Ensure cross‑browser compatibility, responsiveness, and accessibility compliance
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA teams
• Adhere to enterprise development standards, security, and regulatory requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3
• Working knowledge of Java backend integration (RESTful APIs)
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Context API)
• Experience in responsive design and UI performance optimization
• Familiarity with enterprise authentication mechanisms (OAuth, SSO)
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum delivery
• Strong debugging, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• Experience in banking/financial service industry

About the Role

As a member of the Engineering team, the Associate Full Stack Developer will be responsible for building and scaling modern, high-performance web applications. This role is focused on new feature development and digital transformation, utilizing a cutting-edge JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem to deliver seamless user experiences and robust backend services.

The Engineering team at Appnovation drives innovation for clients worldwide. In this role, you will participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), from initial architectural discussions to hands-on coding and deployment. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and senior architects to translate complex requirements into scalable, production-ready code using Next.js, React, Node.js, and Express.

What We Are Looking For

• Design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications using React.js and Next.js.
• Build and maintain scalable server-side logic and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Implement TypeScript across the entire stack to ensure code quality, maintainability, and reduced runtime errors.
• Create dynamic UI components and manage complex application states, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and optimized performance.

Who You Are

• You are passionate about the JavaScript ecosystem and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in React and Node.js.

• 1-2+ years of professional experience in Full Stack Development, with demonstrated expertise in:
• React.js and Next.js (Server-side rendering, Static site generation).
• Node.js and Express.js (Middleware, Routing, API design).
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and ES6+.
• Experience with tools such as Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Styled Components, or CSS Modules.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to discuss technical solutions in a team setting.
