- レクチャー（15%）：ビジネスリーダーが講師となり、仕事内容や最新動向を共有します
- ワークショップ（10%）：エージェンシー内の様々な部署(*)の実務をOJT感覚で体験します
- プロジェクト（75％）：グループの仲間と協力してクライアントワークを疑似体験します

- 時給：1500円
- 交通費（上限15,000円）を支給いたします。

Summer Internship Program at a Leading Global Marketing Agency
Growing the marketers of tomorrow.
VML & Ogilvy Japan is part of the WPP Group, the world's largest advertising agency network, and has inherited the DNA of David Ogilvy, known as “The Father of Modern Advertising”.
This summer internship program is designed to provide global marketing communications experience to students graduating in 2027 and 2028 who are interested in advertising and creative fields.
In this 8-week program, participants will experience real client work in a diverse office environment where both Japanese and English are spoken.
Date & Time
8 weeks between Wednesday, July 1, 2026 - Wednesday, September 30, 2026
9:30 - 17:30 *Except Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays
Program
- Lecture (15%): Learn business basics directly from leaders of each department
- Workshops (10%): Experience *various jobs/departments within the agency
- Group projects (75%): Experience hands-on client work

Requirements
- Applicants must be enrolled in a university or graduate school in Japan and expect to graduate in 2027 or 2028.
- Able to participate in all days of the program at the office.
- Business level or above in both English and Japanese.
- [Nice to have] Creative skills, such as visual design, copywriting, etc.
Selection Process
- Step 1 - Selection based on your application
- Step 2 - Online interviews with team members and Hiring Manager.
Notes
- Participants will be paid 1500 JPY per hour
- Commuting expenses (up to 15,000 yen) will be reimbursed.
- Accident insurance will be provided at the company's expense.
- All other expenses (including accommodation and travel expenses) are to be borne by the participant.

THE OPPORTUNITY / THE PITCH
Our amazing consulting team is looking forward to collaborating with a “people first” Veditor in our growing APAC market. This is a full-time role based in Japan.
As a Veditor, you are not just an editor - you are an algorithm-fluent performance creative. You understand that great content isn’t finished at export; it’s finished when it performs. You live at the intersection of culture, platform, and execution, and you know how to turn good creative into scalable content through iteration, optimization, and testing.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES / THE TASK AT HAND
- Create content that makes impactful connections with consumers, measured by high attention metrics (views, likes, comments, shares, retention).
- Serve as an algorithm-fluent editor with deep expertise in hooks, pacing, structure, and retention across social platforms — owning the DJ-ing, remixing, and optimization of content to drive scalable performance.
- Take principal accountability for performance tuning and platform success, continuously optimizing creative to unlock stronger results.
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished final videos, ensuring assets are natively optimized for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube — with a performance-creative mindset, not post-production only.
- Stay up to date with platform algorithms, emerging formats, creator trends, and editing techniques to keep content fresh, relevant, and competitive in-feed.
- Bring ideas to the table and actively participate in ideation, while recognizing that the core value of the role is making the work work through execution and iteration.
- Collaborate effectively with teammates and cross-functional departments on rapid-fire requests and tight timelines.
- Attend creative brainstorms, kickoffs, and team meetings, contributing meaningful ideas and helping shape performance-driven strategy.
- Mentor Creators and, in some cases, Art Directors and Copywriters across the agency — following the leadership of your A/CD to guide best practices in ideation, execution, and performance optimization.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3–5 years of professional creative experience, with a demonstrable passion for making content across platforms — social, streaming, AR, music, film, interactive, etc.
- Proven experience as a video editor, preferably within advertising, digital media, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Extraordinary content creation skills with the ability to execute from start to finish, including video and motion design.
- Strong understanding of social platform best practices and performance metrics.
- Responsible, accountable, and a self-starter who demonstrates initiative.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and foster positive team dynamics.
