What you will be working on

Service Director, Japan

Position Summary

The Service Director will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships while providing highly valued services and support to ASM Japan customers. The Service Director will lead a team of service operations managers and field service engineers to provide world class customer service to ensure positive outcomes for ASM end users and technology buyers among Japan customer accounts. This position is relied upon by senior leaders and executive management stakeholders for delivering on both customer satisfaction initiatives and key business results.

General Responsibilities

The  Service Manager reports to the Account Director and is responsible for all customer service of ASM products that are installed within the assigned region for Japan.  Support activities include equipment installation, qualification and service of ALD, PEALD, CVD, PECVD, and EPI equipment.  In addition to managing support of ASM equipment, the service manager has ownership of regional spare parts depots and consignment inventory levels.  The service manager is accountable to meet all financial targets for the region including service and spares businesses.  Managing and developing field service engineers.

The Team Lead, Japan HAPI Program owns the day-to-day execution and performance of the Japan HAPI reservations program. This role provides hands-on operational leadership for contractor management, workflow oversight, quality assurance, compliance, escalation prevention, and service quality for Japanese partners, with particular focus on key brands and high-sensitivity accounts. The Team Lead works closely with Business Operations leadership and cross-functional partners to ensure schedule updates are completed accurately and on time, issues are identified and resolved quickly, and the Japan HAPI model can scale sustainably with reduced dependency on BizOps leadership for direct day-to-day management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree, technical certification, or equivalent relevant work experience
• 4+ years of experience in program operations, partner operations, service delivery, business operations, or a related field

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own day-to-day execution and performance of the Japan HAPI reservations program

The intern will review PEALD SiN gap-fill process and figure out the mechanism of specific recipe. In parallel, they will review process results and analyze effective deposition parameters for performance improvement. Finally, they will summarize their findings to build the mechanism with physical/chemical model and experimental data.

What you will be working on

The intern will go through process responses by the single parameter skew. Deposition recipe consists of a lot of parameters. Referring to the typical recipe, it will be to start with suspected effective parameters. Then, they will analyze the process sensitivity in each parameter to figure out what parameter is effective and how effective process improvement is, especially on gap-fill capability (GPC profile) and throughput. There should be some trade-off relationships. The analysis can clarify the effective parameter(s) to have good gap-fill capability and throughput. They will propose what recipe should be good to achieve the target or to maximize throughput, if they have simulation capability, they can collaborate with the team and validate the model of the mechanism by the simulation. The final goal is to show the direction of gapfill performance improvement based on experimental data and theoretical models.

For this project, an intern with Materials Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Electronic Engineering or other types of Engineering (Plasma related is preferred) would be ideal. The intern will analyze leakage mechanisms in flowable low-k SiOCH films using I–V measurements and structural analysis (FTIR/XPS). The successful candidate will be part of the PEALD Process Development team, responsible for technological innovations and the development of new processes for semiconductor fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design experiments, collect data, analyze results, and compile reports on various process development experiments.
