Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Product Support Engineer to join our Group Aftersales Technical Team. This contract-based role plays a key part in supporting the technical capability and service quality of our national retailer network. Working across all Group brands, the successful candidate will deliver hands-on technical support and diagnostic guidance to ensure service excellence and customer satisfaction.
This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team at the heart of the Volkswagen Group Ireland aftersales operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality technical support and root cause analysis for complex vehicle concerns across all Volkswagen Group brands, using approved diagnostic platforms (e.g., DISS, ODIS), remote access tools, and in-person dealer visits where required
- Mentor and develop retailer workshop staff in diagnostic skills, high-voltage (HV) battery handling, and group repair standards
- Represent VGIE at factory-led technical briefings, sharing key updates with the Irish network
- Deliver technical input and lead discussions during Service Dialogue meetings and quality reviews
- Collaborate with brand technical teams, training managers, and warranty colleagues to address trends and escalated issues
- Support technical investigations and assist with field inspections when required
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- National Craft Certificate in Motor Mechanics and qualifications in automotive engineering, diagnostics, or electrical systems
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a technical automotive role with advanced diagnostic exposure
- Strong ability to resolve technical problems independently and communicate solutions clearly
- Skilled at delivering coaching and guidance in workshop environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with sound digital literacy
- Full, clean EU driving licence
- A proactive and adaptable team player who can work independently across a field-based remit
Desirable:
- Master Technician/High Voltage Expert (EV) qualification
- Working knowledge of Volkswagen Group platforms such as ODIS, DISS &, Elsa
- Experience in technical coaching, auditing, or retailer support roles

Role & Team
As a Senior Engineer, you will have a direct impact on the development of core geospatial products and internal data-processing and annotation tools at Overstory.
Your breadth of skills will allow you to set a technical vision for the development of the web applications, ETL pipelines, and backend services owned by these teams.
You’ll partner with product managers, external resources, and your team members to execute this vision.
Time zone requirement: Europe (GMT/WET, CET, EET) and North America (NST, AST, EST, CST, MST, PST)
What You’ll Do
- Explore best practices to combine coding agents with software craftsmanship and teach other engineers these practices
- Optimize the orchestration of several object detection and image alignment models
- Design and maintain robust data and feature pipelines for millions of geospatial entities
- Contribute to the technical vision for the development of our internal annotation and QA web applications
- Work closely with your Product Manager to discover and propose new products to solve use cases such as anticipating the impact of an outage at a particular locatio
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a senior software engineer
- Skilled in designing ETL pipelines with near-real-time orchestration, in Python.
- Strong background building and maintaining scalable web-applications with React, FastAPI, PostgreSQL
- Experience with XP practices such as TDD or trunk based development. The team would be new to these practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audience
Nice To Have
- Experience with the Geospatial ecosystem such as PostGIS, Geopandas or Deck.GL
- Experience with Dagster, Airflow or similar orchestration frameworks
- Experience with building web-applications tailored for repeatable human or agentic workflows
- Experience working in B2B, in particular with electrical utilities

Role & Team
As a Staff Engineer, you will work across multiple teams to evolve a suite of web and internal tools that enable utility companies to more effectively manage risks associated with climate change and wildfires.
We are seeking improvement in the following areas:
- Performance & Scalability: ensure that our product can handle 3x YoY growth
- Accelerate time to value of new product capabilities
- Reduce the amount of manual work required to ingest vegetation analysis into our customer facing tools
At Overstory, our Staff Engineers are hands-on technical leaders whose influence extends beyond their team either through leading cross team initiatives, making technology choices for critical aspects of our technology platform or solving for critical technical challenges within teams enabling our business to achieve our rapid scaling plans (growing 3x YoY).
This role will start off being primarily team scoped solving critical scaling challenges. There is scope to expand remit as we grow.

Role & Team
We’re looking for a Director of Platform & Infrastructure to own and evolve our core engineering foundations. Reporting to our VP of Product Engineering, this role will lead SRE, MLOps, and Platform teams with a mandate to create leverage across the entire organization.
As a scaling startup, we’re evolving from early-stage infrastructure to a more mature, reliable platform that can support rapid product development and growing customer demand. This role is critical in helping us make that transition — building systems, standards, and teams that enable speed today while laying the foundation for long-term scale.
Partnering closely with product, data, and application engineering teams, you will set the technical vision, define best practices, and ensure our infrastructure enables teams to move fast with confidence.
This is a highly cross-functional leadership role for someone who combines deep technical judgment with a systems mindset, strong people leadership, and a passion for building platforms that empower others.

What You'll Do
- Own the platform strategy across Platform, MLOps, and SRE, aligning it with company and product goals

- Define and evolve our platform vision, including developer experience, internal tooling, CI/CD, infrastructure, observability, and reliability standards

- 10+ years experience leading platform, infrastructure, or reliability teams in a scaling startup environment, including navigating ambiguity, rapid growth, and the transition from early-stage systems to more mature, repeatable platforms
- Strong understanding of cloud-native infrastructure (GCP strongly preferred), Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices
- Experience supporting machine learning systems in production, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
- A track record of building reliable, scalable systems used by fast-moving product teams
- Excellent people leadership skills — you know how to coach managers, grow talent, and build inclusive, high-performing teams
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across org boundaries

Role & Team
Our engineering team is growing! We are looking for multiple senior full stack engineers to join our web product team(s) and help us scale our product suite.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Overstory, you will have a direct impact on our mission by building new capabilities and features that in turn enable utility companies to more effectively manage risks associated with climate change, wildfires and storms. As a Field Service Engineer at ASM, you will support one of our key customers as they push the boundaries of the most advanced technology nodes in semiconductor manufacturing. You will become part of a diverse, global team united by curiosity, precision, and a shared drive to stay ahead of what’s next. Based on site in Lucan, this role offers an excellent foundation for early career engineers, or an opportunity to deepen your expertise in a high-tech environment that values safety, learning agility, and technical excellence. You will receive extensive training through ASM’s Global Training Center, alongside hands-on mentorship from experienced ASM engineers. Your work will directly impact tool performance, uptime, and customer satisfaction; making you an essential part of the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute installation, decommissioning, preventative maintenance, and repair of advanced electromechanical semiconductor equipment at Key Customer sites globally.
- Demonstrate strong ownership through effective troubleshooting, precise problem-solving, and ensuring tools return to optimal performance efficiently.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing timely updates, clear communication, and high-quality technical solutions.
- Conduct structured customer training, ensuring safe, clear, and well documented handovers and support.
- Represent ASM professionally through proactive communication, reliability, and a solutions-oriented approach- strengthening long-term customer trust.
- Collaborate cross functionally with regional and global engineering teams to escalate issues appropriately, share insights, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to strict safety and quality protocols, ensuring all service activities meet cleanroom and equipment standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering
- Working knowledge of electrical and gas schematics.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with a disciplined, safety-first mindset.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to function within cross functional and multicultural teams.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
- Advantageous experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Semiconductor wafer fab operations / Vacuum and gas control systems / RF plasma systems / Electropneumatic controls / Microprocessor based controllers / Robotics / Handling of toxic/flammable gases and chemicals
- Willingness to travel internationally (typically 75%, mainly to the U.S & Europe).
- Availability to attend a product training at ASM’s Global HQ in the US.
- Must have valid authorization to work in Ireland and the EU.

For installations and commissioning of our systems as well as the associated maintenance and repairs, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer.
Primary Functions
- Installations, qualification, preventative maintenance and remedial repair maintenance on advanced electro-mechanical semiconductor capital equipment at one of ASM’s key customer locations in Ireland, US, Asia or Middle East
- Project management of key projects at customer sites to install ASM’s latest NPI equipment.
- Perform tool-down repair support in complex situations; work in variedly formed teams; develop action plans and presentations for problem resolutions.
- As a field service engineer you work onsite at various customer locations in a cleanroom environment.
- Create and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through advanced customer service skills, implementing permanent solutions while maintaining a "safety first" mentality.
- Comprehensive and swift reporting
We could be a great match for each other if you have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering or relevant high school technical diploma
- Ideally, already a first experience in field service/customer support and has acquired knowledge in installation and startup of systems, preferably in the semiconductor industry
- Good hands-on skills
- Excellent communication skills in English. Any other European languages are a bonus
- Working software knowledge of MS office, SAP based software
- You have a valid driver’s license
