Software Test Lead

About The Position
Clinical Architecture is seeking a Software Test Lead to join our team in the Indianapolis, IN area. The Software Test Lead will have experience with healthcare messaging and will oversee quality assurance initiatives across our software products. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in validating complex healthcare systems, ensuring data integrity, and supporting interoperability workflows. This role requires strong analytical thinking, hands-on testing skills, and the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Automation teams to drive a culture of quality.
- This role is required to be on site at our Carmel, IN Headquarters. Clinical Architecture offers ample flexibility to accommodate a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities
Quality Assurance and Testing:
- Analyze software requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability.
- Design, document, and maintain comprehensive test cases and support test artifacts.
- Execute tests to validate functionality, usability, and overall product quality.
- Perform exploratory, ad-hoc, regression, load, and system testing.
- Validate software performance across multiple environments.
Defect Management and Validation:
- Detect, report, and track defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Re-test resolved defects to ensure proper fixes are implemented.
- Traverse and validate database entries using SQL queries.
- Research and replicate customer-reported issues to support effective troubleshooting.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Conduct peer reviews of test plans, requirements, and design documents.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure quality standards are embedded early.
- Communicate effectively with Engineering regarding system issues and defects.
- Partner with Product Management to clarify requirements and identify gaps.
- Review end-user documentation, providing guidance on content accuracy and usability.
Process Improvement and Leadership:
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve Product Quality processes and efficiency.
- Support the Automation team by supplying test scenarios, use cases, and test data.
- Develop deep understanding of Clinical Architecture’s products and workflows.
- Champion a culture of quality across the organization.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience testing applications for usability, functionality, and performance.
- Hands-on experience validating software using SQL queries.
- CTFL or equivalent QA certification preferred.
- Experience with API testing, including test tools such as Postman, Swagger, or automation frameworks preferred.
- Coding or scripting experience preferred.
- Healthcare messaging experience (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CCD, X12) preferred.

About This Role
As a Financial Analyst at Topo, you would serve as a hands-on finance partner to a portfolio of high-growth clients. You would work closely with CEOs and leadership teams, supporting strategic decision-making through financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
This role blends analytical rigor, business partnership, and execution. As Topo continues to grow, Financial Analysts have the opportunity to take on expanded responsibilities and grow into more senior, strategic roles.
What You’d Do
- Act as a thought partner to company leaders, helping inform strategic decisions and drive growth
- Build, own, and maintain financial models, budgets, and forecasts
- Support fundraising efforts, including financial materials and investor communications
- Track and analyze key business metrics and performance indicators
- Manage monthly close support, reporting, and variance analysis
- Monitor cash flow, runway, and expense management
- Collaborate with Topo team members to deliver high-quality client outcomes
- Help identify opportunities for process improvements and scalable finance operations
What We’re Looking For
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A self-starter with high agency and a bias toward action
- Passion for working with numbers and helping businesses succeed
- Ability to shift seamlessly between strategic thinking and tactical execution
- 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or similar roles (SaaS or professional services preferred)
- Strong quantitative skills with advanced Excel experience and familiarity with QuickBooks
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-changing environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders

About This Role
As a Controller at Topo, you would serve as a strategic and hands-on accounting leader for a portfolio of high-growth clients. You would partner closely with CEOs and leadership teams, while also supporting and guiding members of the Topo accounting team to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

What You’d Do
- Lead monthly financial close and general accounting activities for portfolio companies
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables
- Oversee and support Topo team members executing client engagements
- Partner with clients on budgeting, planning, and forecasting, including cash flow projections
- Research and provide leadership on technical accounting matters and evolving standards
- Assess internal control environments and design process improvements
- Document, implement, and monitor internal controls as part of operational accounting work
