The Role: As an NLP Data Engineer at WorldQuant, you will be at the heart of transforming unstructured text into actionable, high‑value insights that power quantitative investment strategies. This is a hands-on, engineering role where you’ll design, build, and scale the data pipelines that underpin our data research. This role is ideal for someone who loves building production systems, enjoys working deeply with text and large language models, and wants their engineering work to empower quantitative research at the firm. You’ll join a highly technical, collaborative environment where you work closely with Research and where your ideas can quickly translate into impact at scale.

The Role: Research is at the core of WorldQuant. Through rigorous exploration and unconstrained thinking about how to apply data to the financial markets, our researchers are in constant search of new alphas. Researchers at WorldQuant employ tested processes seeking to identify high-quality predictive signals that we believe are undiscovered by the wider market. These signals are mathematical expressions of data that are used as inputs in our quantitative models.
WorldQuant is seeking an exceptional individual to join the firm as a Quantitative Research Intern. The person must have a good understanding of the investment research process to create computer-based models that seek to predict movements of global financial markets. This position is responsible for assisting with daily research and analysis tasks – which includes scripting for monitoring and alpha signal analysis. Candidates need not have prior knowledge of financial markets, but must have a strong interest in learning about stock markets and other capital markets. Successful candidates will self-starters, have a research scientist mind-set, and be creative and persevering deep thinkers who are motivated by unsolved challenges. Our highly accomplished senior staff will provide the interns with mentoring and guidance to help them succeed.

Job Purpose:
The Marketing Specialist will lead the marketing activities for our Education Summit & Exhibition, playing a pivotal role in driving local exhibitor and sponsor participation, as well as delegate and visitor acquisition. The role demands a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the local market, capable of creating tailored, high-impact campaigns that align with the event's mission.
The Marketing Specialist will oversee localization, and encompasses traditional and innovative marketing approaches with the primary goal of increasing our reach and conversion within the local market by appropriate penetration in multi-channel campaigns, including website user experience, SEO, digital/print collaterals, EDMs, social media, content marketing, and PR.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced English language proficiency, a skill highly valued for effective translation and content adapted communication and campaign execution. They will demonstrate an ability to critically evaluate processes, ask thoughtful questions, and provide insightful suggestions that enhance overall team performance. A natural aptitude for quickly learning and adapting to new technologies with minimal training is essential, ensuring seamless integration into fast-paced, dynamic environments. The ability to challenge conventional approaches constructively, combined with a proactive mindset, will add significant value to the team's strategic initiatives.
Key Accountabilities:
Campaign Development & Execution
• Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns tailored to the localised market.
• Align campaigns with international strategies, focusing on sponsor and attendee engagement.
• Develop and maintain a marketing plan covering all phases of the event cycle.
• Localize global campaigns to suit the cultural, linguistic, and business nuances of the market.
• Manage the entire marketing lifecycle, from planning to execution, across digital, print, and experiential channels.
• Expand beyond language to include culturally tailored visual elements, narratives, and messaging specific to localised Education market sensitivities.
• Incorporate case studies or success stories from local companies to build local trust and resonance
Performance Metrics
• Use Monday.com for project management, ensuring all activities meet deadlines and KPIs.
• Share weekly reports outlining completed activities and upcoming plans.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with sales teams to generate exhibitor and sponsorship leads
• Collaborate with conference production to develop content-led campaigns around event themes
• Partner with digital, content, and PR teams to create integrated campaigns that deliver measurable results.
Data-Driven Strategy
• Utilize market research, attendee profiling, and analytics to refine audience segmentation and campaign messaging.
• Implement real-time performance tracking and optimize campaigns based on actionable insights.
• Regularly assess attendee feedback and campaign data to inform future strategies.
• Collaborate with the data team to create a cyclical data strategy.
• Analyse and segment audience data to maximise engagement and ROI.
Localized Content Creation
• Lead the production of localised marketing materials, including brochures, email campaigns, and social media posts.
• Supervise translations and ensure consistency in tone and messaging across all communications.
• Work with graphic design teams to develop culturally relevant visual content.
• Leverage trending local platforms like LINE and X more extensively for engaging with local audiences.
Networking & Engagement
• Promote and manage unique event features such as the Future Leaders Networking Breakfast, Women in Education Networking, and the Official Welcome Reception to the local market to ensure attendance.
• Design marketing campaigns that emphasize the networking, collaboration, and partnership opportunities available at the event.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Act as the primary liaison between the marketing team and specialized functions, such as SEO, CRM, and analytics teams for all local language communications.
• Maintain strong alignment with dmg events’ global portfolio, ensuring consistency with the branding and objectives of sister events.
Media & PR
• Manage media partnerships, press releases, and on-site media coordination.
• Conduct an in-depth analysis of dmg events and the Education Summit’s portrayal in localised media, pinpointing any gaps between intended and actual perceptions.
• Include regular media monitoring throughout the campaign to adjust strategies in real-time, ensuring that any shifts in perception are addressed promptly.
• Use insights to support the development of press releases and public communications that not only align with dmg event's strategic objectives but also speak directly to the unique concerns and priorities of the local market.
• Enhanced Informational Resources & Event Management
• Produce a detailed Exhibitor Guide and additional informational content for the local website and brochures, ensuring they comprehensively address potential queries and provide extensive background on the event.
• Oversee marketing-related event logistics, including registration systems, mobile apps, and networking platforms.
• Activate advocacy plans to amplify reach through stakeholder networks.
Post-Event Engagement Plans
• Use attendee feedback and analytics to shape targeted campaigns for the Education Summit & Exhibition 2026.
• Prepare and present a full post-event review of activities completed
• Create a “Post Event Report” brochure for sharing with key clients within 4 weeks of event closing
Job Context:
The role requires close collaboration with exhibition sales, sponsorship teams, and delegate sales teams to drive lead generation and conversions. Working across departments—including technology and data—the marketing specialist will ensure cohesive execution of campaigns. This position also involves adapting international strategies to resonate with the localised market, aligning all marketing activities to achieve the overarching goals of the Education Summit & Exhibition.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
