Wie zoeken we?

Opleiding

• Je hebt een bachelor- of masterdiploma in wetenschappen, bio-ingenieurswetenschappen, farmacie of een gerelateerd vakgebied, of bent gelijkwaardig door ervaring.

Ervaring

Je hebt:

• Ervaring in het leiden van een team in een gereguleerde omgeving,
• Of minstens 3 jaar ervaring in een GMP- of ATMP-omgeving (bij voorkeur in de biotech- of farmaceutische industrie) en ambitie voor de nieuwe uitdaging van het leiden van een team.

Expertise

As CAR-T production supervisor, you’ll be the driving force behind our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading & inspiring: manage operational teams and oversee key steps in the CAR-T production process.
• Ensuring quality: you manage all aspects of quality and ensure strict compliance with cGMP standards. As a domain expert for Quality and Operations, you play a central role in GMP inspections.
• Collaborating & solving: you'll be the go-to person for production challenges and work closely with other departments to find solutions.
• Keeping us organized: manage and review critical documentation like procedures, work instructions, logs and transfer forms. You'll also oversee the release and review of batch records for quality control.

Who Are We Looking For? 

Education

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in science, bio-engineering, pharmacy or a related field of study or you are equivalent through experience.  

Experience

You have either:

• Experience in people leadership in a regulated environment,
• Or at least 3 years of experience in a GMP or ATMP environment (preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry), and a drive for the new challenge of leading a team.

Expertise

• Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Electronic Batch Record (EBR) systems experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations and clean room operations is a plus.

This position is responsible for providing operational excellence and project management support to our two cell therapy manufacturing plants in Belgium. 

You will play a key role in strengthening the continuous improvement culture, building Lean and 6Sigma skills within the organization and lead complex, cross functional optimization initiatives.  

You combine project management; strong stakeholder management and communication skills with training and coaching skills to drive effective communication, coordination and collaboration.

What can you expect?

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Co-own the Operational Excellence program for the site, focusing on building a strong continuous improvement culture and developing Lean & 6sigma capabilities across the organization. 
• Provide training, coaching and development of Lean and 6sigma capabilities, including:
  • Support the selection of green belt trainees and projects, help organize GB training in collaboration with our J&J partners, coaching and and review of Green Belt projects to support certification
  • Deliver basic statistics training and support teams with questions related to DMAIC, data analysis and structured problem-solving
  • Optimize and maintain templates and tools
• Educate, coach and lead OpEx deployment leads in operational departments  
• Lead complex Lean and Six Sigma improvement projects requiring Black Belt–level expertise, supporting strategic objectives of the organization, such as:
  • Cost optimization
  • Lead time reduction 
  • Deviation reduction
  • Scheduling and shift regime optimization 
  • Cleanroom efficiency improvements
• Serve as a subject-matter expert for advanced statistics and data analysis questions 
• Use Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, including 5S, standard work, visual management, Kanban, Pareto analysis and others, to structure and improve initiatives. 
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with peers across the organization

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Operations environment, of which 3 years of experience in Pharma 
• Experience in lean process optimization tools: black belt certified
