About the position
As a Senior Backend Engineer in one of the AI focused teams, you will help shape the future of intelligent, AI-powered features that enhance how sales teams work. You'll build and maintain serverless event-driven systems and APIs that integrate with third-party services. You'll be responsible for driving technical and product decisions based on your expertise, designing solutions that leverage modern AI capabilities to deliver real value to users. Rather than a monolithic environment, you will help develop an ecosystem of services, as you identify and isolate parts of the system to increase reliability and promote quality. Your decisions will not only have an impact on the way we build our product but also on the end-user experience for all our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Develop AI-powered features that leverage large language models to automate and enhance user workflows.
- Contribute to improving our development processes and environments.
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party platforms and APIs.
- Help define, implement, and maintain our growing ecosystem of microservices.
- Work in software teams where code reviews and pair programming are part of our strong engineering culture.
- Take a security-first approach to implementing features and changes.
- Collaborate with and mentor less experienced engineers on best practices and architectures.
- Have a strong eye on the bigger picture because everything you do will have an impact on 100,000 users globally.
What We’re Looking For Nice to Have
- 5+ years developing scalable, production-ready backend systems.
- Experience with backend systems for AI/ML-powered product is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Interest in or experience with AI/LLM integration and prompt engineering.
- Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems (message queues, state machines, asynchronous workflows).
- Experience working in a cloud environment. Experience working in AWS and familiarity with services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, Bedrock, Step Functions, and API Gateway is a plus.
- Understanding the importance of strong software testing at every stage and an advocate for test-driven development.
- Comfortable analyzing, estimating, and prioritizing complex projects.
- Ability to model data and queries around feature requirements with an emphasis on performance and scalability. Experience working in a tenant database environment is a plus
- Continuous integration and delivery mindset.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs for, and collaborating with, internal and/or public data consumers.
- Team player mentality, committed to the whole software development life cycle in an agile team.

- Experience with microservice architectures and data streaming systems like Kafka or Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
- Familiarity with data governance or data quality tools such as Atlan or Soda.
- Experience mentoring other engineers.

De software engineer zal een bestaande team van een vijf personen integreren bezig met de ontwikkeling van een python-applicatie in Django om de operationele noden te ondersteunen. Day-to-day zal het werk over de ontwikkeling van nieuwe features en het onderhouden van de bestaande features. Het hele project wordt ontwikkeld met behulp van Agile-methoden en is volledig on-premise. We vragen een aanwezigheid van 2 dagen per week op kantoor, in Brussel, goed bereikbaar met het openbaar vervoer. De kandidaat moet een veiligheidsaccreditatie kunnen verkrijgen.
We zoeken een gedreven en detailgerichte Software engineer met een passie voor het modellen, ontwerpen, ontwikkelen van innovatieve softwarecomponenten en applicaties. Beschikt over ervaring met het development van data-applicaties in Django/FastAPI, en een bewezen staat van dienst in het vertalen van klanten noden naar technische eisen.
- Front-end development : Expertise in het bouwen en onderhouden van applicaties in React.
- Back-end development : Diepgaande kennis van Python voor software dev, aantoonbare ervaring met python Django en optioneel maar een plus in .NET.
- Gegevenskwaliteit en Integriteit: Sterke focus op het waarborgen van de nauwkeurigheid, volledigheid en betrouwbaarheid van gegevens.

Ben jij een Senior / Lead Data Engineer met een sterke ondernemersgeest? 🚀
Als Data Engineer help je ons bij het implementeren van de data lake om milieugegevens te verzamelen, verwerken en opslaan van diverse sites.
- Schaalbare datapijplijnen ontwikkelt en onderhoudt met behulp van Azure Databricks.
- Samenwerkt met business data-analisten om databehoeften te begrijpen en oplossingen aan te leveren.
- Dataintegratie- en transformatieprocessen implementeert vanuit diverse bronnen, waaronder REST API's.
- Datastromen optimaliseert en problemen oplost met het oog op performantie en betrouwbaarheid.
- Zorgt voor datakwaliteit en consistentie over verschillende gestructureerde en ongestructureerde databronnen.
- Op de hoogte blijft van de nieuwste trends en best practices binnen data engineering, Databricks en dataintegratietechnologieën.
- Aantoonbare ervaring als Data Engineer met sterke focus op Azure Databricks en aanverwante technologieën binnen het Microsoft data-ecosysteem.
- Bekend met de lakehouse medallion architecture.
- Vaardig in SQL, Python en Apache Spark.
- Grondige kennis van REST API’s, inclusief hoe deze op een veilige en efficiënte manier te consumeren (bijvoorbeeld via Python/Databricks notebooks); ervaring met het binnenhalen en transformeren van JSON/XML-data vanuit web API’s is een grote plus.
- Ervaring met datamanagement & governance via Unity Catalog is een pluspunt.
- Bereidheid en kennis om zelf (technische) rapporten in Power BI op te bouwen.
- Documenteren van je werk is voor jou vanzelfsprekend tijdens analyses en ontwikkelactiviteiten (bijvoorbeeld in Wiki, DevOps, …).
- Je spreekt vlot Engels. Andere Europese talen zoals Frans, Nederlands of Spaans zijn een pluspunt.
