This position is responsible for providing operational excellence and project management support to our two cell therapy manufacturing plants in Belgium. 

You will play a key role in strengthening the continuous improvement culture, building Lean and 6Sigma skills within the organization and lead complex, cross functional optimization initiatives.  

You combine project management; strong stakeholder management and communication skills with training and coaching skills to drive effective communication, coordination and collaboration.

• Co-own the Operational Excellence program for the site, focusing on building a strong continuous improvement culture and developing Lean & 6sigma capabilities across the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a scientific or technical field, such as Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or cell therapy environment
• 5+ years of proven people leadership experience
• Experience in aseptic manufacturing is strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with quality systems and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with Eudralex, ICH and 21 CFR.

Wat mag je verwachten?

• Leidinggeven aan, coachen en ontwikkelen van QC‑laboratoriummedewerkers, inclusief aanwerving en prestatiemanagement
• Zorgen voor gepaste training in cGMP, veiligheid en technische competenties
• Toezicht houden op QC‑testactiviteiten
• Reviewen en goedkeuren van laboratoriumdata, testmethoden en proceduresL
• Leiden en ondersteunen van laboratoriumonderzoeken (events, afwijkingen, ongeldige analyses)
• Zorgen voor onderhoud, kalibratie en kwalificatie van laboratoriumapparatuur
• Aansturen van verificatie, kwalificatie, validatie en overdracht van testmethoden
• Optreden als subject matter expert bij het oplossen van complexe laboratoriumproblemen
• Nauw samenwerken met Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering, MSAT en Maintenance
• Beheren van afdelingsmiddelen, budgetten en personeelsplanning
• Bijdragen aan globale QC‑laboratoriumstrategieën in lijn met compliance‑ en bedrijfsdoelstellingen
• Aansturen van continuous improvement‑initiatieven en verbeterprojecten

Opleiding
