Hourly Rate: $24.75 

The Assistant Studio Manager is a key leadership role focused on supporting the day-to-day operations of the Studio and ensuring a consistently exceptional experience for Studs’s customers. This role serves as the primary partner to the Studio Manager and is expected to step in fully when they are off, maintaining consistency in leadership, execution, and culture.

As part of the Studio leadership team, you’ll help drive revenue, coach team members, and uphold the standards that define our customer experience. You’ll also play an important role in shaping team culture — modeling professionalism, accountability, and our core values. Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence & Revenue

• Leads day-to-day Studio operations in the Studio Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth execution across all functions
• Manages inventory, supply ordering, and operational task completion with consistency and attention to detail
• Tracks daily business performance and supports execution of sales strategies to drive revenue and hit targets
• Partners with the Studio Manager to identify and act on trends in key metrics, ensuring goals stay on track
• Upholds compliance standards, including safety protocols and piercing regulations, and escalates issues as needed

Customer Experience

• Maintains a consistent presence on the floor to guide the team and ensure an exceptional customer experience
• Actively supports resolution of customer concerns and models service recovery when needed
• Identifies experience trends and advocates for improvements that elevate the Studio environment

Leadership & Team Development

• Acts as a day-to-day leader for the team, setting a high standard for professionalism and accountability
• Provides real-time coaching and clear, actionable feedback to support individual performance
• Contributes to team development in collaboration with the Studio Manager
• Reinforces Studs’s values and fosters a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• 1+ year of retail management, customer-facing team leadership experience, and demonstrated track record of operational excellence
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule of five days per week (38-40 hours), including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must maintain consistent availability
• Weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) is required, excluding approved PTO
• Schedules may vary based on business needs, and full-time roles are expected to prioritize Studs as the primary employment commitment
• Must reliably attend all scheduled shifts and maintain consistent availability
• Will be scheduled in the Studio Manager’s absence; performs day-to-day studio operations across all functions
• Comfortable standing for extended periods (up to 8+ hours) and able to lift and move up to 20 lbs
• Comfortable handling chemicals and following all relevant health and safety protocols
• Brings strong judgment, a proactive mindset, and a bias toward ownership and follow-through

Hill House is seeking a pro-active Store Manager to lead the retail team at our upcoming Georgetown, D.C store and become a pivotal part of our Hill House family. In this role, you'll serve not only as a brand ambassador but also as a key player in building relationships, both internally and externally, to cultivate an unparalleled service culture while coaching and mentoring a passionate team of associates. We are looking for a warm, professional, and dynamic leader to drive our store's sales performance and ensure operational excellence, leading the store’s daily operations, including inventory management and reporting. This is a full-time position with a retail schedule including weekends.

What You'll Do:

• Drive Excellence in Sales & Service:
• Lead by example on the sales floor, playing an active role in engaging with clients, ensuring the highest level of service is provided and client experience goals are met.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance to identify trends, set action plans, and communicate strategies that align with sales and profitability goals.
• Work cross-functionally with marketing, eCommerce, creative, and operations partners to address business goals and needs.

• Client Development
• Foster an environment where client satisfaction is the top priority, implementing CRM initiatives to retain and develop high-potential clients.
• Lead and collaborate with the team on the development of strategic client retention and acquisition goals; ensure associates deliver goals for client capture/clientele rapport building.
• Capture meaningful client data for the purpose of building relationships to personalize future client development opportunities.
• Operational Leadership:
• Ensure the smooth running of store operations, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining operational and visual merchandising standards to meet brand expectations continually.
• Manage inventory effectively, ensuring stock levels are aligned with sales goals and new product launches.
• Oversee financial aspects, including budgeting, expense control, reporting, scheduling, and payroll aiming to maximize profitability.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies including cash handling, register procedures, brand, styling & language
• Talent Management & Development:
• Attract and retain a high-performing team, building a talent pipeline through effective coaching and development plans.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals for your team, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Handle all employee relations issues in partnership with HQ, ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment.

Who you are:

• A minimum of 7 years of sales management experience in the retail industry, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience performing in a fast-paced environment with fastidious attention to detail.
• A leader with a proven ability to drive sales, deliver exceptional client experiences, as well as build, lead, and motivate high performing teams  
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze data and trends to make informed decisions.
• Self-motivated with exceptional communication and a motivational attitude; passionate for people development and growth
• Excellent collaboration and delegation skills as well as good decision-making abilities in high pressure situations 
• High degree of flexibility and initiative: exhibit strong organization to effectively plan and execute short- and long-term projects aligned with the global strategy
