About this team and role:
Firefox developers land code every day to delight users with new features and improve product performance and security. Every day, developers and managers use our team’s applications to develop, build, test, and deliver Mozilla’s core products. We are force-multipliers to enable Firefox developers to do their best work.
What you’ll do:
- Improve Firefox development workflows to reduce time spent testing and debugging test failures as well as more integration/automation of workflows
- Work with a geographically-distributed development team
- Mentor other team members and be mentored by more senior team members
- Collaborate with other teams by providing code review and technical direction
- Look at data, make dashboards, identify trends in Firefox development workflow
What you’ll bring:
- Proven Python skills, including building services
- Front-end development experience, including JavaScript proficiency
- Experience with Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Django), Cloud Services (e.g., GCP, AWS) and REST
- Solid understanding of databases and SQL
- Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and test harnesses
- Comfortable working cross-platform, familiar with at least 2 of: Windows, Linux, Mac, Android
- A passion for enhancing developer productivity

About this team and role:
The Localization Team manages the infrastructure that powers localization across all Mozilla products and services, and supports our global community of volunteer localizers. As a Senior Engineer, you’ll contribute to a range of Mozilla localization projects and technologies — from open source libraries like moz-l10n to Pontoon, our Django-based Translation Management System. You’ll also work on internationalization features that shape the experience of Firefox and other Mozilla products, and have the opportunity to engage with development of standards such as Unicode MessageFormat and DOM Localization.
You’ll contribute to architectural discussions and help drive feature development within the team. At Mozilla, Senior Engineers are expected to work independently on well-defined projects, collaborate closely with peers, and play a key role in delivering high-quality software that advances the team’s goals and Mozilla’s mission.
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to the development of Python and JavaScript libraries (such as moz-l10n) and tools that support Mozilla’s localization infrastructure.
- Improve localization and internationalization within the Firefox codebase to make features more adaptable and accessible across languages and regions.
- Collaborate with engineers and program managers to design and implement new Pontoon features.
- Engage with our community of volunteer developers and localizers to support and guide Mozilla’s localization efforts.
- Collaborate effectively with teammates and internal clients across regions and time zones.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong experience developing and maintaining libraries and tools using Python and JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of web technologies, APIs, and modern development workflows.
- Experience with open source development practices and community collaboration.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team, across time zones and disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and working across technical and non-technical roles.
- Professional fluency in English (written and verbal).

- Experience with internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) concepts, tools, or workflows.
- Programming experience in Rust and C++.

Vos missions 🎯
En tant que Développeur / Software Engineer Python, vous serez intégré(e) à une équipe agile et interviendrez chez l’un de nos clients grands comptes (banques d’investissement, asset managers, fintechs, etc.) sur des projets back-end ou full-stack :
- Analyse de l’architecture technique et validation de la cohérence des évolutions proposées
- Développement d’outils d’analyse et de traitement de données
- Conception et implémentation de nouvelles fonctionnalités sur des socles modernes
- Automatisation des tests (unitaires, d’intégration, fonctionnels)
- Participation aux démonstrations utilisateurs et phases de recette
- Contribution aux mises en production en lien avec les équipes DevOps et sécurité
- Développement web et services (FastAPI, Flask, Django, NGINX, Apache, …)
- Implémentation des procédures de déploiement et d’exploitation
- Mise en place et gestion de pipelines CI/CD (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Ansible, Docker, …)
- Rédaction des cahiers de tests et documentation technique
