Impact of a Communication Designer

As the Communication Designer at Upsun, you are the guardian of our visual identity and the engine behind our brand’s daily expression. You bridge the gap between high-level brand strategy and tactical execution, ensuring that every touchpoint, from digital campaigns to internal assets, is cohesive, polished, and impactful. Your work doesn't just make things look good; it builds trust with our technical audience and clarifies our complex value proposition through world-class design.

In this role, you report directly to the Head of Brand and Communications and serve as a cross-functional partner to Marketing, Product, Sales, Engineer, and People teams.

What to expect

• Lead Daily Design Execution: Produce high-fidelity visual assets for social media, website components, sales enablement decks, and digital advertising.
• Translate Technical Concepts: Partner with Product Design to turn complex technical workflows into simplified, "marketing-ready" UI visualizations and original vector illustrations.
• Manage External Partners: Act as the primary creative lead for external agencies and freelancers, providing actionable feedback and quality control to ensure output meets our brand standards.
• Evolve the Design System: Maintain and expand our library of reusable design components and brand guidelines to ensure global scalability and consistency.
• Collaborate on Campaigns: Work with Growth and Events teams to translate strategic briefs into high-performing visual assets that drive engagement and conversion.

What you bring

• Professional Design Experience: 2+ years as a brand designer or art director, ideally within a B2B tech environment or a fast-paced creative agency.
• Tooling Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), along with comfort using Google Workspace and Slack.
• Systems Thinking: A proven ability to work with and evolve complex brand systems and component libraries across diverse formats.
• Technical Visualization: Exceptional skills in vector design and the ability to translate abstract cloud concepts into visuals that resonate with a developer audience.
• Workflow Autonomy: Strong organizational skills to manage high-volume requests via project management tools like ClickUp, prioritizing tasks based on business impact.

Things You’ll Do

• Focus on acquiring new business and sell the Qualtrics Platform to key accounts.
• Develop comprehensive account plans, from power maps to demand generation and closing strategies.
• Manage relationships between Qualtrics and senior executives of both client and prospect companies.
• Strategising internally with SDRs (sales development representatives), solutions consultants, partners etc to create demand and drive senior engagement in accounts.
• Gain a thorough understanding of prospects' business issues and industry challenges to craft tailored solutions.
• Build compelling business cases that demonstrate clear ROI and value for clients.
• Maintaining a real-time understanding of Qualtrics' offerings and the competitive landscape to provide win-based proposals and pricing strategies.

What We’re Looking For On Your CV

• Significant experience selling SaaS solutions, and experience in discussing strategic business issues at Director and C level in Large Enterprise accounts.
• Strong track record in achieving and exceeding sales quotas.
• Experience closing 6 figure deals. Closing 7 figure deals a bonus.
• Ability to be creative in driving engagement with new contacts within an account.
• Fluency in French and English.
• You are passionate about educating potential clients on solutions relevant to their situation and helping them understand how the software can drive a return on investment for them.
• You can leverage your network in the market to generate interest in Qualtrics solutions.
• You have a desire to manage a territory like running your own consultancy.
• You engage with clients at all points of the sales cycle - from prospecting and acquiring clients, through demoing the Qualtrics product, to negotiating and closing, and beyond.
• You have the agility to adapt, pivot and change your approach based on the needs of your business.
• You partner well with internal teams and bring together internal resources that enable successful closure of deals.
