About the team

The Startup SaaS Platform team works with European startups in one of Stripe’s highest-priority segments. At Stripe, SaaS platforms are companies that use Stripe to embed payments and make financial services a core part of their product. Their partnership with Stripe is an important part of their growth, such as with companies like Shopify, Mindbody, and Lightspeed.

SaaS platforms are a global priority for Stripe, and our team identifies and develops Stripe’s future strategic accounts in Europe. We partner with high-potential companies, helping them use Stripe’s solutions to better support their users, scale internationally, and create new revenue streams through payments and financial services.

What you’ll do

As an Account Executive, Existing Business, you will build partnerships between Stripe and innovative, fast-growing software platforms by helping them understand how Stripe’s online commerce infrastructure can support their business goals and create value for their customers.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and nurture a named account list, and develop account plans to grow and expand business with SaaS platform startups
• Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, and coordinate the right executive touchpoints
• Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through close
• Work with leaders across Engineering, Product, and Finance to lead complex product workshops and financial analysis
• Lead complex, bespoke commercial and contractual negotiations
• Contribute to our platform partnership strategy and help build repeatable processes and scalable engagement models
• Collaborate on team projects to refine and improve our sales process
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to help inform product strategy

Who you are

You are a skilled salesperson and relationship manager who can engage confidently in business and technical conversations at multiple levels of an organization, including the CTO, COO, and CFO. You have experience working with startups and understand the buyer journey. You can lead a complex, multi-party sale in a consultative and thoughtful way.
You are comfortable building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on products that require both technical understanding and strong commercial judgment. You are analytical, curious, and enjoy understanding business models and helping customers evaluate investment decisions.

You are proactive about prospecting and can independently lead a sales cycle from start to finish. You also enjoy building, whether that means contributing to sales process development, sharpening the value proposition, or creating tools and assets that help the team succeed.

Minimum requirements

• 5+ years of sales experience selling a technical product, with a track record of strong performance
• Proven experience moving sales opportunities from inception to close by leading complex, multi-party sales in a consultative manner

• Ability to understand complex technical problems and how Stripe’s solutions can address them
• Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Strong interest in technology and comfort using AI tools
• Fluent in Italian and English

The Platform Sales team works with B2B Software Platforms to help them facilitate payments for their customers using our Stripe Connect product. Software Platforms, also known as B2B Indirect, are software platform businesses who serve other businesses. Platforms already using Stripe include Shopify, Treatwell, Sage & DesignMyNight. 

As a key member to the Stripe Platforms team, you will manage and elevate relationships with a named account list while identifying new growth opportunities and ways Stripe can exceed expectations.

What you’ll do

As an Account Executive (Grower), you will create partnerships between Stripe and the most innovative and fastest-growing software platforms in the world by helping them to understand how Stripe’s online commerce infrastructure can make payments a competitive advantage for their businesses.

• Lead and contribute to team projects to develop and refine our sales process
• Engage with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy

Who you are

You are an adept salesperson and relationship manager capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of the organization, including the CTO, COO, and CFO. You have experience working with upper middle market and enterprise companies. You have an in-depth understanding of the buyer journey and can lead a complex, multi-party sale in a highly consultative manner. You are used to building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on products that require deep product understanding, combined with technical knowledge. You are naturally analytical and enjoy digging into business models and helping customers quantify their investment decisions. You get excited about prospecting, and are capable of independently leading a sales cycle from start to finish. Finally, you enjoy building – you like to actively participate in the development of our sales process, the articulation of our value proposition, and the creation of key tools and assets.

What's the opportunity? 

As a Senior Finance Data Scientist, Existing Business, you will be the architect of the systems that predict Intercom’s revenue future. You will move beyond static reporting to build production-grade forecasting models that translate complex customer behaviors into financial signals.

You will work on high-impact, open-ended problems, such as predicting expansion propensity and modeling long-term customer LTV. This role requires a hybrid of financial intuition and technical rigor: the ability to navigate raw data warehouses and the strategic mindset to explain the "why" behind the numbers to our leadership team.

The Impact You Will Have

• Own and Evolve the Revenue Engine: Build and maintain predictive models for usage-based revenue, renewals, and expansion that outperform traditional linear forecasts.
• Unlock Predictive Insights: Develop propensity models to identify expansion opportunities and churn risks before they materialize in the ledger.
• Architect Finance Data: Design and maintain curated datasets that serve as the single source of truth.
• Model Customer Value: Define and iterate on our LTV frameworks, providing a clear linkage between product engagement and long-term financial outcomes.

Drive Scalability: Build automated, code-based forecasting workflows that increase the speed, reliability, and granularity of our financial planning.

What will I be doing? 

Predictive Modeling and Forecasting Systems

• Build and own probabilistic and time-series models that project ARR performance across renewals and usage-based motions.
• Incorporate behavioral signals, such as product adoption, seat utilization, and feature engagement, into expansion propensity and LTV frameworks.
• Design models that account for cohort dynamics, seasonality, and product-led growth (PLG) signals.
• Evaluate model performance through backtesting and iteration, ensuring our "financial weather forecast" is constantly improving.

Data and Analytical Infrastructure

• Own the end-to-end data pipeline for finance, transforming raw product usage and billing data into curated, model-ready datasets in our data warehouse.
• Write and optimize production-quality SQL and Python to work with large-scale datasets and automate complex FP&A workflows.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across all predictive systems and executive dashboards.
• Contribute to the long-term data strategy for how Intercom tracks and predicts Existing Business health.

Analytical Problem Solving

• Translate ambiguous business questions (e.g., "Which usage signals best predict a 2x expansion?") into structured data science projects.
• Connect ARR outcomes to underlying drivers like product adoption, customer health scores, and GTM activity.
• Perform scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to help the business understand the range of possible outcomes for NRR.

Business Partnership & Communication

• Partner with Sales, Product, and Data Engineering to align our financial models with actual customer behavior and product roadmaps.
• Translate complex statistical outputs into clear, decision-oriented narratives for the CFO and executive leadership.
• Build executive-ready materials, including predictive dashboards and strategic presentations.

What skills do I need? 

• • 3+ years in Data Science, Strategic Finance, or Revenue Analytics, with a deep focus on SaaS or usage-based business models.
  • Advanced Technical Skills: High proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and Expert-level SQL. Experience with forecasting libraries (e.g., Prophet, Nixtla) is a major plus.
  • System Design Mindset: Experience building scalable data pipelines and production-grade analytical tools, not just one-off spreadsheets.
  • SaaS Mastery: Strong understanding of NRR, LTV, Churn, and the relationship between product usage and revenue.
  • Communication: Ability to translate technical work into business insight and influence stakeholders through data-driven storytelling.
  • Business Judgment: A focus on accuracy and a "Product Sense" that allows you to see the human behavior behind the data points.
  • AI-Augmented Productivity: Proficiency in leveraging AI-native development tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate the development of data pipelines, model prototyping, and code documentation.
