Position: Senior QA Automation Engineer (Java + Selenium)

Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer with a strong command over Java, Selenium, and automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of
automation best practices, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality software at speed. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll be building robust, scalable, and
high-performance automation frameworks and test suites for complex applications.


What You'll Do

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable automation test frameworks using Java + Selenium.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers in an Agile environment.
• Create and maintain test scripts for UI, API, Integration, and Regression testing.
• Lead automation efforts from scratch and improve existing test frameworks.
• Analyze test results, debug issues, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
• Ensure optimal test coverage and maintain high quality standards across the product.

Qualifications

Required

• 4+ years of experience in QA Automation with a strong focus on Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Expertise in building custom frameworks from scratch (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, BDD/TDD).
• Strong understanding of OOPs concepts, Core Java, and design patterns in test automation.
• Proficient in handling complex DOM structures, dynamic elements, waits, and synchronization.
• Experience in REST API testing using tools like RestAssured, Postman, or similar.
• Hands-on with version control systems like Git.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Good exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred

• Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
• Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
• Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber, Serenity, etc.
• Working knowledge of SQL and basic database testing.

This program of work is central to VMLs’ continued success, helping augment their world class AI with a back-office workflow platform. The value add is to enable agencies to manage their work end to end within our innovate platform. This is a greenfield program of work to replace their existing workflow system with bespoke .Net development using a microservice architecture in Azure and Kubernetes.

What you’ll be doing:

We are looking for a talented Senior Front-End Developer to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on building and maintaining high-quality web applications with a focus on ReactJS (or similar frameworks), micro frontends, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and automation testing. If you're passionate about creating seamless, scalable, and maintainable user interfaces, we'd love to meet you!

This role will report into the Tech Lead of your work stream or into the Senior Director of Development.

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using ReactJS (or similar frontend frameworks).
• Architect and implement micro frontends to ensure modular, scalable, and efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, backend, product) to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Ensure the quality of code through Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Implement automation testing frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Optimize front-end performance for speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers.
• Stay up to date with the latest front-end development trends, tools, and best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a collaborative and growth oriented environment.

What we want from you:

• 7+ years experience in ReactJS or similar modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, etc.).
• Proven experience working with micro frontends architecture and principles.
• Solid understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and hands-on experience in writing testable code.
• Familiarity with automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Selenium).
• Deep knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux, Recoil, or similar. Strong understanding of version control systems, especially Git.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrating front-end with back-end services.
• Familiarity with build tools like Webpack, Babel, and task runners like Gulp or Grunt.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously. Strong communication skills and ability to work in an agile team environment.

If you know some of this even better:

• Experience with containerization and Docker.
• Knowledge of cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
