ABOUT THE JOB
As a site reliability engineer in Discovery, you will solve a wide variety of problems involving networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and more, while making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs along the way. Your efforts will ensure that Anduril products seamlessly work together to achieve critical outcomes.
You’ll work closely with software, data, and operations engineers to get systems into the hands of customers, deployed and supported on real infrastructure, with real users.
Above all, Site Reliability Engineers must be driven by a “Whatever It Takes” mindset—executing in an expedient, scalable, and pragmatic way while keeping the mission top-of-mind and making sound decisions to deliver successful outcomes on-time and with high quality.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Improve Anduril’s operational capabilities by improving our core product offering through root cause analysis and creating tooling capable of managing large scale deployments
- Drive continuous organizational improvement by leading post-mortem events involving diverse stakeholders
- Quickly diagnose and resolve system issues across cloud, robotics, and mesh networking architectures
- Lead the organization in building scalable, sustainable mechanisms to continue delivering to customers at the pace the business is scaling
- Design, develop, and deliver solutions using modern technologies that ensure scalable and fault tolerant delivery of systems to the warfighter
- Build strong relationships with internal and external customers to identify technical solutions to their problems
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- STEM degree or equivalent technical experience
- Technical expertise and demonstrated performance in one or more of the following areas: networking, cloud technologies, application development, hardware design, and/or cybersecurity
- Minimum of 5 years of operations and engineering experience
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
- A desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impact
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to drive consensus across internal and external stakeholders
- Experience developing and delivering solution to evolving problems in complex environments
- Experience in the technical, programmatic, and operational challenges of developing and deploying autonomous weapon systems across command echelons
- Experience delivering and maintaining systems that run on air-gapped and security-hardened networks
- Experience building scalable solutions along with plans for implementation. Not just the end state, but what are the steps needed to get there while maintaining the customer experience
- Experience performing data-driven root cause analysis on complex systems
- Ability to understand, debug, and modify software written languages such as Go, Python, Rust, or C++
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. WHAT YOU’LL DO

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years in cloud engineering, architecture, or systems engineering, with direct expertise in AWS and Azure environments.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in multicloud architecture, secure networking (VPCs, VPNs, hybrid connectivity).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks (e.g., IL5/IL6, IRAP).
- Working knowledge of container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Clearance: Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 30%, including international deployments.

Anduril is seeking a Systems Administrator to directly support our most sensitive programs. You will be a part of the team administering operating system infrastructure, implement automated configurations, and support environment deployments across all classification levels using IaC methodologies. You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the world’s best engineers and cybersecurity professionals as you help to implement cutting edge systems.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Administer Windows and Linux systems across NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, and SAP environments
- Implement and maintain automated configuration management for operating systems
- Apply security baselines and STIGs through automated configuration tools
- Support Deployment team during environment builds ensuring proper OS configuration
- Configure and maintain enterprise services (AD, DNS, DHCP, repository servers, patching infrastructure)
- Monitor system health, performance, and security compliance using automated tools
- Troubleshoot complex OS issues including authentication, permissions, and application errors
- Maintain backup and recovery procedures ensuring RPO/RTO targets are met
- Document system configurations, automation code, and troubleshooting procedures
- Own deployed environments until successful ATO and user acceptance achieved
- Transition environments to Service Desk team with proper documentation and knowledge transfer
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active security clearance appropriate for assigned systems
- Strong expertise in Windows Server and/or Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) administration
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell DSC, scripting)
- Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, identity management, and LDAP integration
- Knowledge of STIGs, security hardening, and compliance scanning
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.

We are looking to hiring a Deployment / DevOps Engineer who will work to deploy and implement Rhombus software solutions. The Deployment Engineer will also train users and obtain user feedback, as well as interacting with the Rhombus product team on current and upcoming user requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with basic software programming, containerized solutions, DevOps procedures and processes, and with working in an Agile environment.
As a Deployment / DevOps Engineer at Rhombus, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems and software utilizing cloud capabilities to support Rhombus' projects within the national security enterprise! Based in DevOps framework, you will participate in and/or direct major deliverables throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, scripting, architecture and design, coding and unit testing. Applicants should be self-motivated, curious problem solvers.

Responsibilities
- Managing, building, configuring, administering, operating and maintaining all components that comprise the DevOps environment
- Developing and maintaining scripts to automate tool deployment to an AWS cloud environment and other tasks. Sold scripting experience is a must!
- You'll be responsible for scripting and maintaining build environments
- Working with project teams to integrate their products into the DevOps environment
- Conducting round table discussions on capabilities to ensure smooth deployment
- Defining enterprise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices
- Codifying software development best practices across the enterprise
- Developing automated testing framework within DevOps processes
Qualifications
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance, please apply only if you have an active clearance
- At minimum, BA/BS degree in Computer Science or similar technology-focused programs
- At minimum 5 years' experience
- Experience working on Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies
- Experience with DevOps pipeline tools and technologies, including Docker, Chef, Jenkins, Ansible, or Kubernetes
- Experience with Command line experience in Linux or Unix
- Experience with HTML, PHP and Python
- Comfortable with SQL
- AWS Solution Architect or AWS SysOps Administrator Certification
- Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification would be preferred
- Experience in working closely with software developers to integrate, configure, and deploy commercial products
- Experience with Multi cloud management
- Knowledge in complex application integration AWS certification
