About the Role

iCapital is seeking a skilled and dynamic Associate or Assistant Vice President to join our Revenue Control team within the Corporate Finance organization. This individual will be a key player in shaping the future of iCapital as the firm continues to scale and expand into new areas. This role resonates across various financial activities, from accounting and reporting for revenue on various products to streamlining processes and driving scalability across the Corporate Finance team, as well as other key stakeholders at iCapital. This Individual will own various responsibilities including month end close duties, revenue, accounts receivable, treasury management and financial reporting as well as ad hoc projects and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Perform revenue calculations and controls for various product lines across iCapital, primarily Technology Solutions.
• Ensure precision in monthly and quarterly revenue estimates and actuals, providing insightful analyses of variances.
• Foster a culture of financial excellence by collaborating with client relationship managers, finance leadership and external client contacts.
• Review legal agreements, contracts and other key documents and understand relevant economic terms as they relate to revenue and reporting and apply that understanding to revenue calculations.
• Support full revenue cycle including order processing, invoicing, payment collection and revenue recognition, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Spearhead month-end close processes, preparing revenue calculations and revenue accruals for technology solutions products.
• Calculate and consolidate P&L and balance sheet data, ensuring accurate journal entries for various entities.
• Assist with the calculation and generation of invoices at month end.
• Perform month over month roll forwards for key revenue metrics.
• Prepare detailed monthly revenue reconciliation analyses supporting accurate P&L reporting.
• Execute cash application processes and prepare monthly cash reconciliations.
• Support the initiative to enhance efficiency and automation of our existing revenue calculations and invoicing processes, including implementation of a new order-to-cash billing and receivable software.
• Develop insightful reporting and analyses to support business unit and product line leads with actionable insights for performance reporting to management and investors.
• Identify and address process gaps, implement robust internal controls, and improve documentation for internal control processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes by leveraging automation tools and data-driven workflows to improve efficiency and accelerate task completion.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of corporate accounting or public accounting experience within the financial services industry
• Outstanding financial analysis skills and knowledge of accounting principles and US GAAP reporting
• Strong ability to apply critical thinking skills to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions, while consistently maintaining a meticulous attention to detail
• Organized and detail-oriented process manager who can prioritize and communicate clearly with senior leadership
• Experience with revenue, treasury management, accounts receivable and payable, and cash reconciliations
• Knowledge of booking journal entries and preparation of financial statements
• Data-driven thinker who can manage large data sets for efficient analyses
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to coordinate across teams and departments to complete projects
• CPA license is preferred but not required
• Degree in Accounting is preferred but not required
• Familiar with Oracle NetSuite or other general ledger systems (i.e. Quickbooks) is preferred
• Familiar with alternative investments or structured investments is preferred

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $140,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. About the Role

iCapital is looking to hire a Strategic Finance professional to join the Corporate Finance team. This role will involve large scale responsibilities across financial and managerial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis of key financial and performance indicators, monthly and quarterly management reporting duties, including support during the financial close, financial modelling, and partnership with key business and department Leads to enhance decision making. This individual will report into the iCapital Solutions Business Controller, Senior Vice President.

Responsibilities

• Support the budgeting and forecasting of the company’s key financial performance indicators, with emphasis on revenue, expenses, sales activity, and select GAAP and Non-GAAP metrics, liaising with FP&A team members, sales and business leads, while providing analysis of budget vs. actuals and real-time forecasting of revenue and expenses.
• Assist in the preparation of the company’s annual budget process across key financial performance indicators, with emphasis on revenue, expenses, sales-based inputs and activity, and client level detail.
• Develop key financial and performance metrics with detailed analytics for the Management Committee and business leads.
• Liaise with FP&A team members to develop business specific key performance metrics, client analytics, budgets, and forecasts.
• Identify and assess key opportunities to enhance the current reporting structure and develop new approaches to evaluate business performance.
• Partner with FP&A team members and sales to develop monthly analyses and insights into variances between budget vs. actual results.
• Perform sales analytics to support the business development and growth of the company’s iCapital Solutions department.
• Support the preparation of monthly management and quarterly board reporting packages, including consolidation of financial statements, budget vs. actual results and revised forecasts, variance analysis and compilation of the company KPI reports.
• Identify and remediate process gaps and implement effective internal controls; improve documentation of internal control processes.
• Assist in completing ad hoc projects as needed such as implementation of new software, platform reporting automation, and financial planning and analysis tools.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, or accounting experience within the financial services industry and/or FP&A or strategic finance experience with a top-tier firm
• Familiar with private market investments such as private equity, hedge funds, and/or structured investments are preferred
• Experience in planning and ERP tools (i.e., WorkDay Adaptive, Tableau, Essbase, etc.) and familiar with Oracle NetSuite and/or General Ledger systems (i.e., PeopleSoft, Axiom) is preferred
• Able to work with business/sales and department leads on business performance including budgeting, forecasting and advanced analytics
• Advanced degree and/or credentials desired, such as MBA, CPA, CFA
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational planning, quantitative modeling, and problem-solving skills; strategic and creative thinking
• Able to manage large sets of data and be able to implement checks and balances
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detailed oriented with big picture capability

Benefits
