Job Title: Data / Platform Engineer (AWS & Data Pipelines)

We are looking for a highly motivated Data / Platform Engineer to join our team and help design, build and operate scalable data pipelines and cloud-based solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with engineering and product teams to build both streaming and batch data pipelines, contribute to system design, and help drive automation and monitoring across our data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain and primarily operate scalable streaming and batch data pipelines, with a strong focus on maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing pipelines.

• Work with AWS services, including Redshift, EMR and ECS, to support data processing and analytics workloads.

• Develop and maintain data workflows using Python and SQL.

• Orchestrate and monitor pipelines using Apache Airflow.

• Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Break down high-level system designs into well-defined, deliverable tasks with realistic estimates.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and distributed environment across the US and Europe.

• Drive automation, observability and monitoring to improve reliability, performance and operational efficiency.

• Support knowledge transfer and ownership handover as part of the planned transition to the consuming team.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with Python and SQL.

• Hands-on experience with AWS, specifically Redshift, EMR and ECS. AWS experience is mandatory (other cloud providers are not considered equivalent for this role).

• Proven experience building and operating both streaming and batch data pipelines.

• Professional experience with Apache Airflow, Docker and Kubernetes.

• Ability to translate high-level system designs into actionable technical tasks and realistic estimates.

• Comfortable working in dynamic and fast-paced environments and in distributed teams.

• Strong interest in automation and monitoring.

• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark.

• Senior-level profile with strong autonomy, communication skills and ability to work effectively in distributed teams.

• Proven ability to transfer knowledge and support ownership handovers.

• Fluent or professional working proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in the telecom industry.

• Experience with machine learning systems and/or event-driven architectures.

• Experience with Apache Iceberg.

About The Role

As a Data Analyst, you are an early-to-mid career analytics professional with a strong foundation in data analysis and a desire to grow your technical and consulting skill set. You support the delivery of analytics and reporting solutions that help clients better understand their data and make informed decisions. You are comfortable working with structured datasets and are eager to deepen your experience in data modeling, visualization, and business analysis.

You will work closely with senior analysts, data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders across a variety of client engagements. With guidance and mentorship, you will contribute to analytics initiatives including dashboarding, exploratory analysis, KPI tracking, and data quality validation. You are curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to continuously improve your analytical skills.

What You’ll Do

• Support client and internal teams in understanding business questions and translating them into analytical requirements
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights under the guidance of senior team members
  Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports to track key metrics and performance indicators
• Assist in documenting metrics, definitions, and analytics processes
• Collaborate with data engineers and other analysts to support data modeling and reporting layers
  Communicate insights clearly through visualizations, summaries, and presentations
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting, data quality, and analytical workflows
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or analytics-focused role
• Programming experience in Python, Bash scripting, R or related language
• Working proficiency in SQL and experience querying cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery)
• Experience with Business Intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
• Foundational understanding of data modeling and analytics best practices
• Experience defining and tracking KPIs and metrics
• A/B testing and causal analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
  Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and consulting-style environments
• Interest in learning about data governance, privacy, and security best practices

What You’ll Do

• Partner with clients and internal teams to identify opportunities where data science and machine learning can drive business value
• Explore, analyze, and prepare large datasets for modeling and experimentation
• Design, build, and validate statistical, predictive, and machine learning models
• Develop and deploy scalable data science and AI solutions in collaboration with engineering teams
• Evaluate model performance and continuously iterate to improve accuracy (including A/B testing and causal analysis)
• Lead data modernization & migration projects at large enterprises
• Communicate findings, methodologies, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Stay current with emerging data science, AI, and machine learning techniques and tools

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a data science, machine learning, or solution architect roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python (or similar) and experience with data science libraries and frameworks.
• Solid foundation in statistics, probability, and machine learning techniques.
• Experience designing and managing the build-out of  cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks BigQuery, Redshift).
• Familiarity with model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and building production APIs (e.g., FastAPI) and applications (e.g., Django or Flask).
• Excellent communication skills in english.
• Experience collaborating with data engineering teams on production-grade solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to frame ambiguous business problems into technology solutions and gaining stakeholder buy-in.
• Experience working in agile, consulting, or cross-functional environments.
