INTERN - BRAND DESIGN

Employment Type: Paid Full Time Internship (min. 6 months)
The opportunity
At Interbrand, we believe every brand deserves to be seen, understood, and loved. We're known for creating iconic transformations that change how people perceive and interact with the world's most recognized brands. As a Design Intern, you'll join our Creative team for 6-12 months to learn how strategic thinking becomes visual impact. You'll work on real client projects, contribute ideas at every stage, and develop your craft under the mentorship of experienced designers. You'll also immerse yourself in Interbrand's approach to brand, learning how we use creativity to create iconic moves through our proprietary frameworks.
What you’ll be doing
- Learn Interbrand's IP, service offerings, and methodology to understand how we approach brand transformation through our Three Lenses framework
- Onboard into our business and creative culture and build relationships across the team and disciplines
- Contribute creative ideas and visual thinking to projects at all stages, from research and concepting through final execution
- Sketch, prototype, and visualize ideas to experiment with different directions and refine based on feedback
- Support the team in translating insights into visual concepts, brand identities, and real experiences
- Learn and master design tools including Adobe CC, Figma, and emerging software relevant to the project
- Participate in design research, problem-solving, and presentation support for internal teams and clients
- Give and receive constructive feedback and actively collaborate with designers, strategists, and other disciplines
- Take ownership of assigned tasks by managing your time and deliver work to agreed deadlines
- Engage with Interbrand Academy learning resources and external inspiration to continuously build your creative skills
What we’re looking for
Experience
- In your final year of university or freshly graduated
- Portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, attention to detail, and range of work
- Proficient in core design programs and enthusiastic to play with new design tools and software
- Awareness of current design trends and digital tools
Relationships
- Builds rapport to learn from experienced designers and peers
- Comfortable speaking up with ideas and perspectives and not afraid to ask questions
- Works well in team environments and actively seeks opportunities to contribute and support others
Curiosity
- Passionate follower of cultural and creative trends locally and globally
- Mentality of asking questions to learn how creative connects to strategy and business outcomes
- Believes in sharing references and trends to foster dialogue
Commerciality
- Understands the importance of deadlines and client briefs and delivers on time
- Takes ownership of tasks and follows through, showing initiative and reliability
- Recognizes that design decisions serve a strategic purpose, not just aesthetic preference
Communication
- Clearly articulates ideas with strong visual support
- Actively listens to feedback and incorporates it into work
- Comfortable presenting concepts and work in progress to peers
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)

The opportunity
You are a reliable driver of client work, with a developing strategic mindset. You own and run projects independently, leading defined multiple workstreams, transitioning from delivering projects to managing them alongside peers. You align stakeholders, shape clear decision paths, and keep scope, schedule, and quality in balance, connecting great work with commercial performance.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage multiple client projects, making decisions about approach, investment, and who we involve
- Develop and present recommendations to clients, shaping what we propose rather than just executing someone else's plan
- Identify where clients need more from us and bring growth opportunities to the business with a clear case for investment
- Run project delivery with rigour on scope, timeline, budget, and margins, managing through complexity and ambiguity
- Mentor and guide team members on your workstreams, setting standards and building their capability
- Work with senior team members to stress test thinking and refine your approach on bigger or newer challenges
- Lead cross-discipline partners to deliver at pace and quality, taking responsibility for outcomes
- Anticipate client needs and navigate conversations proactively so we stay ahead of problems
- Proactively meet with Discipline leads to understand new approach, ways of working or offers to integrate and support this growth
- You ensure the work is underpinned by the Thinking & Making philosophy and introduces elements of the Three Lenses
- Manage outcomes and pressure thoughtfully for you and the team, by staying pragmatic and positive
What we’re looking for
Experience - Track record of running multiple projects with strong commercial outcomes. Great client relationships with positive feedback.
Relationships - You build trust at senior client levels and across internal department leaders. You understand their business deeply enough to spot where we can add real value and push back when needed to support delivery management and the wellbeing of internal teams.
Curiosity - You see patterns across projects and clients. You connect what's happening in their world to opportunities for us to do meaningful work whether that’s within our agency or the broader Omnicom world. You think what’s best for the work and client to create Iconic Moves.
