North Point Technology is hiring a hands-on HPC Linux Software Engineer to support mission-critical R&D efforts in a high performance computing environment. This role is ideal for an engineer who can work directly with users, solve complex modeling and simulation challenges, and help strengthen HPC software workflows in a fast-paced on-site lab setting.

Responsibilities:

Support HPC users and technical staff in a research and development environment, helping solve modeling and simulation workflow issues across heterogeneous, multi-platform systems. Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based software used in HPC environments, including existing code bases and distributed applications. Partner closely with the Technical User Support team, team lead, Chief Scientist, customers, and site staff to resolve technical problems and improve user effectiveness. Contribute across the software lifecycle including requirements, design, coding, documentation, testing, and maintenance. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and scientists, lead code reviews, and create training materials, tutorials, and onboarding content for users and internal staff.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Around 5 years of experience developing and using modeling and simulation software in heterogeneous, multi-platform environments
• Experience supporting HPC user workflows for modeling and simulation problems, including GUI-based workflows
• Knowledge of High Performance Computing environments and related technologies
• Proficiency in Fortran, C, and/or C++
• Proficiency with Bash and Korn shell scripting
• Strong Linux experience, including the ability to troubleshoot end-user system issues independently in a lab environment

• Strong ability to analyze, debug, and maintain existing code bases
• Experience with requirements, use cases, design, coding, documentation, and testing of scalable distributed applications in Linux environments
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or scientists, providing technical guidance, and leading code reviews
• Experience designing and delivering training workshops, tutorials, or onboarding materials for HPC users and internal staff
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical teams and customer stakeholders

POSITION SUMMARY

Umoja’s Analytical Development organization is seeking a driven Scientist to deliver routine (U)HPLC as well as troubleshoot, improve and/or develop separations based analytical methods for the Process Analytics department.  This role will be responsible for managing current method lifecycle and developing new separation strategies to quantify residual process reagents, impurities in lentiviral vector (VivoVec) Drug Product and assist in product and process characterization. This position requires an exploratory and proactive approach to method development, including identifying and developing new separation methods to quantify residuals in VivoVec, raw materials, and media components to support evolving process needs, using appropriate chromatographic and detection strategies.

The ideal candidate is experienced in chromatography systems and multiple detection methods and will work independently to meet timelines. Responsibilities may include oversight and transfer of analytical assays for internal and external partners, qualification of newly developed or external methods, and successful transfer of methods to QC to enable release of GMP material. This role balances routine sample testing to support ongoing process needs with development, qualification, and transfer activities, and requires strong communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional and external partners. Attention to detail, thorough documentation of experimental work in an Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN), and authorship of development and qualification reports are essential.

This role is fully onsite and lab-based 5 days/week at our Louisville, CO location.

• Experience in novel method development and method improvement initiatives

What we need you to bring to the team:

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Bioinformatics Support Scientist. This role requires strong NGS bioinformatics skills together with written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences. They will play a crucial role in supporting customers through data analysis and collaboration with scientists across various disciplines. They will also require a solid working knowledge of molecular biology and NGS library preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and support for bioinformatics software, databases, and tools to our customers 
• Perform bioinformatics analyses on high-throughput sequencing data, gene expression data, and other biological datasets to support customers and support & applications projects.
• Develop expert-level knowledge of Watchmaker’s NGS product portfolio and applications 
• Maintain thorough customer-facing documentation and knowledgebase of analysis workflows, methodologies and key parameters used to best analyze data generated with Watchmaker products

Compensation

The base compensation for the Bioinformatics Support Scientist role starts at $100,000 - $130,000 + bonus + equity; actual pay will be adjusted based on skills and experience.
