Logos Messaging Team

The Logos Messaging team is focused on creating communication infrastructure for a freer internet — permissionless, interoperable, and based on user consent. We're building toward a world where anyone can reach anyone on a network that no single entity controls or can take away. We cannot afford to compromise on Privacy, and "Eventual Decentralisation" is not an option: Logos.co

Right now we're deep in the hard problems: Bringing decentralised group messaging over MLS to all developers. This is frontier tech work — the protocols we're writing don't have established playbooks, and the tradeoffs we're navigating haven't all been mapped yet.

This is where you come in. We're a small team seeking engineers who have a passion for decentralised chat and who've thought deeply about how these systems work, where they fail, and what it takes to get them right. You'll work directly on our SDK and contribute to the protocols underneath it, with real ownership over work that enables open communication.

Key responsibilities

• Implement our messaging protocols in our reference SDK, translating protocol specs into reliable, production-quality Rust
• Own the API design and developer experience of the SDK surface — abstractions, ergonomics, and developer-facing documentation
• Contribute to messaging protocol specifications alongside the team
• As a member of a small team, you'll wear many hats — picking up problems outside your immediate lane, learning as you go, and growing with the team
• Write clear technical documentation and participate in async design discussions with collaborators across the project

You will ideally have

• Deep familiarity with real-world instant messaging systems - you've worked on, contributed to, or spent serious time understanding how systems like Signal, Matrix, XMPP, or similar are built, where they make tradeoffs, and where they struggle
• Experience with decentralised computing - peer-to-peer systems, distributed networks, or decentralised application infrastructure
• Comfort working directly with cryptographic primitives - signatures, ciphers, and key exchanges and an understanding of secure private messaging principles such as forward secrecy, post-compromise security, and key management
• Solid Rust experience: comfortable writing reliable, maintainable code in a team setting
• Previous experience with Web3, blockchains, open protocols, and the values that underpin them

Bonus points

• Experience with Post-Quantum Cryptography and its application to secure messaging
• Experience with MLS (Message Layer Security / RFC 9420) or the OpenMLS library specifically
• You've authored or contributed to an open specification
• Familiarity with P2P transport layers such as Waku or libp2p
• Experience working for an open source organisation
• Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously

Compensation

The expected compensation range for this role is negotiable, dependent on how we assess your skills and experience throughout our interview process. We are happy to pay in any mix of fiat/crypto.

The Operations Planning Engineer leads midstream project scoping and development planning in support of the Midstream Master Operations Schedule (MMOS). This role coordinates cross-functional inputs to ensure projects are properly aligned from scope to execution. The position emphasizes planning ownership, schedule integrity, and coordination across pipeline and facilities development.

The Operations Planning Engineer III/Senior/Expert (Midstream) responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead front-end midstream project scoping and development planning, including water sourcing, gas pipeline and water offtake coordination, and system-level planning inputs.
• Coordinate cross-functional planning efforts to ensure midstream pipelines and facilities are properly scoped and aligned for development and execution.
• Identify and communicate schedule risks across planning inputs including Land, Permitting, Civil Construction, Routing, and Project Execution teams.
• Collaborate with various operating departments to proactively plan for tree clearing, linear construction, facilities installations, preinstalls, civil construction builds, and commissioning activities that support the delivery of asset creation, expansion, and servicing through the Midstream Master Operations Schedule.
• Facilitate schedule coordination and development planning across functional groups to ensure alignment between upstream development and midstream delivery.
• Proficiency with planning and digital workflow tools (Smartsheet, Salesforce, GIS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite).
• Maintain planning data integrity across digital systems including Smartsheet, Salesforce, and GIS.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to support planning alignment.
• Practical understanding of Midstream permitting, surface use land, and surveying.
• Working understanding of GIS and proficiency with ArcMAP.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering.
• 4+ years’ experience in related field or industry.
• Midstream Engineering, Operations & Construction experience and skillsets.
• Basic computer skills and practical application of software programs.
• Ability to contribute in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills in both oral and written form, including technical writing.
• Ability to think analytically and solve fundamental problems.

Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states:  California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless willing to relocate.

About Logos Execution Zone (LEZ)

Logos Execution Zone (LEZ) is a programmable blockchain that cleanly separates public and private states while keeping them fully interoperable. Developers can build apps that operate across transparent and privacy-preserving accounts without changing their logic. Privacy is enforced by the protocol itself through zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), so it is always available and automatic. 

LEZ aims to deliver full programmability in a hybrid public/private model, with the same flexibility and composability as public blockchains. Developers write and deploy programs in LEZ without addressing privacy concerns. Privacy is protocol-level: programs do not change, accounts are treated uniformly, and private execution works out of the box.

The role:

In this role, you will be responsible for actively participating in research, prototyping ideas, transforming research prototypes into production, and conducting code reviews.

Your responsibilities will also include planning, implementing, and shipping end-to-end functionality. As well as profiling bottlenecks, hardening cryptographic components and testing them. 

The candidate should have experience with modern cryptography, familiar with zero-knowledge virtual machines (zkVMs), blockchain or other peer-to-peer systems, and motivated by decentralisation and privacy.

Key responsibilities:

• Improve existing protocol mechanisms and actively participate in research.
• Transform research output into production systems.

You ideally will have:

• Solid Rust knowledge.
• Understanding of cryptography and zk-based blockchain systems.
• Ability to propose improvements to the core protocol.
