In Luno’s customer-focused environment, the Workforce Analyst plays a key role in driving operational excellence through data, insights, and planning. You will create, maintain, and continuously improve schedules and forecasts to enable the achievement of service-level goals while ensuring the best possible experience for both customers and our Customer Success teams.
You’ll use your analytical expertise and scenario-based thinking to help Luno stay ahead of changing customer behaviors and global crypto trends. This means not only reacting to volume changes but anticipating them—collaborating closely with Customer Success leadership and global WFM peers to ensure our plans are flexible, data-informed, and future-ready.
You’re an analytical problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and can translate data into clear operational decisions. You bring strong communication skills, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset that helps shape how we work today and how we plan for tomorrow.

You will form part of the Onboarding Operations team based in Cape Town and Kuala Lumpur, reporting to the Head of Onboarding Strategy and Customer Due Diligence Operations. Your role as a Business Optimisation Analyst (Data) will be to use your knowledge of data analysis and data processing to inform key business decisions in the Onboarding Operations team and other business areas. You will work in a fast paced environment, collaborating with other business units, including Engineering, Product, Compliance and Data teams, servicing the business on an international level together with the teams from South East Asia, Africa and Europe. You will be responsible for creating dashboards, extracting data, writing reports, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine business initiatives’ success.

About the team:
The Data community at Luno, comprising Data Engineers, Scientists and Analysts, uncovers valuable insights from the vast amounts of data we gather from our customers and platform. These insights are crucial for guiding our product development and business strategy.
As a Product Data Scientist joining Luno, you would be part of the Product Analytics team providing high quality insights into our product through experimentation and advanced analytics.
Our current technology stack includes Databricks, Thoughtspot, Amplitude and Segment.
As we accelerate on our mission to put crypto in everyone’s hands, your role is to use data and insights to drive better product decisions and influence the Luno product strategy. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to find, size, prioritise, evaluate and iterate on problems and opportunities to enhance our product.
This is a hands-on product analytics role focused on experimentation, customer behaviour and data-informed decision-making. While there may be opportunities to apply modelling or machine learning techniques for specific use cases, this is not a production ML-focused role.
