The User Experience team at Roku is comprised of UX designers, researchers, and writers working collaboratively with our world-class Product and Engineering teams to meet customer needs for a Roku experience that delivers simplicity and delight.
About the Role
Roku is looking for an experienced UX Product Designer with strong mobile interaction design skills to lead the design of key Mobile streaming experiences. This work will mainly focus on mobile streaming experiences and associated workflows such as subscription and account management. We know your time is valuable, so we love being transparent about our hiring processes. For this Product Design role, we’ll start with a call from your dedicated Roku recruiter. Then you’ll have a follow-up call with the Hiring Manager (UX Design Manager). After that, we’ll ask you to do a 35-minute portfolio presentation to a cross-functional, 4-person panel of designers, researchers, and product managers. In this presentation, we’ll want you to walk us through a couple of projects you’ve done that you’re especially proud of. You’ll tell us what your role was, what your process was, how it turned out, and what you learned from it – showing artifacts from your process along the way. Then you’ll have one-on- one meetings with the panel for follow-up questions and other conversations. Throughout the process, your Roku recruiter will be there for you every step of the way!
What you’ll be doing
- Conceptualize and deliver design for mobile app features that enhance both content discovery, playback and management
- Communicate designs - articulating design rationale and creating effective design artifacts (wireframes, flows, specs, etc.)
- Contribute at every step of the product development life-cycle from general product discovery, research, ideation and AB tests
- Conduct and participate in design reviews with a range of stakeholders across the organization
- Balance qualitative and quantitative data to make user-centered design decisions
- Work closely with Product Managers to identify the problems and business goals that your designs will addres
- Partner with User Researchers to determine and execute the ideal research method to gather customer insights or evaluate designs
We’re excited if you have
- 6+ years relevant experience in Mobile Product Design
- Proficiency in delivering delightful and effective consumer mobile app experiences and/or shipped products, demonstrating deep fluency with both Material and iOS design guidelines
- Experience designing for streaming experiences and familiarity with common asset considerations and constraints
- Experience designing patterns and components used across many product surfaces (mobile, tablet)
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment, and to embrace opportunities to rapidly iterate on designs
- Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, and management to refine design concepts through rapid iterations, meeting the goals of both users and the business
- Hands-on experience working with User Researchers (or conducting User Research yourself) and utilizing the results of that research to shape your designs
- A passion for getting the subtle details right when it comes to creating a high-performing, world-class experience

THE ROLE
Pioneering Intelligence is seeking a Senior UXD to partner across Product, AI research, engineering, legal, communications and marketing, multi-disciplinary scientific groups and venture creation teams to solve the most impactful challenges in AI for the life sciences.
We are building a next-generation digital foundation that integrates computational science, AI/ML, knowledge engineering, data platforms, and workflow automation. These capabilities support Flagship’s unique model of exploring the unknown and translating scientific insight into world-changing companies.
The UX Designer, Agentic AI will design intuitive, high-impact and trustworthy user experiences for agentic AI products thereby accelerating product adoption, Delighting users and driving business impact. This is an individual contributor role with ownership of UX across key AI-integrated products and a mandate to shape scalable UX patterns and systems for the Agentic AI organization. As part of a multidisciplinary (product, software engineers, AI scientists) team, you will work closely with scientists and business stakeholders to shape how they apply agentic systems to reimagine workflows, translating complex capabilities into trusted, valuable experiences while helping establish strong UX practices in a fast-moving startup environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own UX for defined product areas with product guidance
- Translate AI behavior into intuitive, trustworthy experiences that drive outcomes
- Partner with product and engineering to iterate designs based on user research and user and product data
- Prototype, test, and iterate rapidly with users
- Contribute to scalable UX patterns and systems
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience designing products for scientific users
- Background in biotech or life sciences
- Demonstrated evidence-based, user-centered design practice
- Experience with continuous discovery methods
- Ownership mindset with bias toward action
- Comfort working through ambiguity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience designing AI-powered experiences, including human-in-the-loop
- Familiarity with agentic workflows, automated systems and/or decision support systems
- Background in human-computer interaction
- Experience prototyping adaptive interfaces, including AI assisted eg. vibe coding
- Comfort working in fast-changing environments
- Contribute to Design Systems, improving speed and consistency of development

The salary range for this role is $108,000 - $170,700. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Pioneering Intelligence currently offers healthcare coverage, annual incentive program, retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits.
