ABOUT THE JOB

As a member of Anduril’s Technical Operations team, you will be responsible for deploying and supporting Anduril’s products all over the world. You will go forward with products early on in their lifecycle and work with engineering teams to iteratively improve them over time. The challenges you will encounter are innumerable and unpredictable, but you will be expected to take ownership of delivering the technical solution.

You must be both a teacher and a student, able to coach teammates on systems that you’ve gained intimate familiarity with and then transition into mastering the next system. You’ll also guide users through product employment and troubleshooting, advise account managers on how to structure an operation to ensure technical success, and communicate specific recommendations for product refinement to engineering teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support military defense projects by executing technical operations, conducting field maintenance, providing customer field support and training
• Tackle complex issues related to hardware, software, and networking in unstructured situations, driving them to resolution

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to travel to both domestic and OCONUS regions (up to 75% of the year). Travel typically lasts between 30-45+ days at a time.
• 3+ years of experience of strong problem solving in unstructured environments at the interface of hardware, software, and networking.
• A strong aptitude for debugging and diagnosing faults in complex systems
• Network+ and Linux+ or equivalent experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair critical site product components and infrastructure.
• Demonstrated understanding of flight operations, aircraft systems, and sensors
• Willingness to work with energetic material (warheads).
• Ability to climb towers to install, maintain, and repair sensor equipment and components including cameras, radars, and Pan Tilt Units (PTU).
• Strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair critical site infrastructure including generators, solar power systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance on tower structure components including guy wires, anchors, lightning protection systems and other structural elements to ensure structural integrity and safety.
• Ability to meet health and medical requirements in advance of deployments in accordance with DFARS 252.225-7040, DoDI 3020.41, and/or any additional requirements outlined by region or supporting force, as applicable.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret/Secret clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• B.S. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, or related technical field

• Prior tower climbing experience with relevant certifications (Tower Climbing, OSHA 10/30).
• Experience with Fiber and RF systems (PtP, PtMP, mesh), understanding basic antenna concepts & spectrum analysis.

Anduril's Space team is dedicated to expanding our AI-powered capabilities into the final frontier, enhancing Space Domain Awareness, Space Control, and Command and Control for U.S. military and allied partners. We're developing fully integrated hardware and software systems, including Lattice for Space Missions and modular payloads, to address growing threats in space and ensure our Guardians maintain a decisive advantage in this contested war-fighting domain.

WHAT YOU’LL DO?

• Create opto-mechanical designs of space payloads ranging from small cameras to large telescopes
• Act as Responsible Engineer: conduct analyses, visit vendors and test sites, define and execute test plans, and manage subsystem interfaces
• Run finite element models and hand calculations to predict stresses in mechanical and optical components
• Contribute to STOP analyses to evaluate structural and thermal effects on optical performance
• Conduct hand calculations and run higher order thermal analyses to evaluate survival and operational on-orbit temperatures including solar loading effects through apertures and optics

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS or higher degree in engineering or hard science
• Ability to obtain and hold U.S. Top Secret security clearance
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience and demonstrated track record of success
• Experience with exotic opto-mechanical materials (composites, titanium, beryllium, Invar, Zerodur, etc.)
• Experience with tolerance stack-ups, mechanical alignments, kinematic mounting, and qualification test campaigns
• CAD proficiency and ability to create engineering drawings meeting industry standards (GD&T)
• Hands-on fabrication and assembly skills with hand tools, mill, lathe, etc.
• Strong fundamentals in optics, heat transfer, statics, solid mechanics, and materials
• Excellent attention to detail, highly motivated, self-starting, and autonomous

About the Team: 

The Avionics team is responsible for the full lifecycle of Terran R’s nervous system, designing, building, testing, installing, and operating the hardware that connects and controls every major electrical system on the vehicle and ground. The team leverages close partnership between avionics design, manufacturing, and test to enable rapid iteration and feedback loops. Engineers are deeply embedded into other functions within Relativity, working closely with propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and operation. The Battery Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, maintaining, and repairing battery systems used in energy storage, electric vehicles, industrial equipment, and backup power applications. • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot battery systems using meters, analyzers, and diagnostics software
• Verifying charge/discharge performance
• Assemble battery packs, modules, and wiring harnesses following technical drawings and safety protocols

The Opportunity

Mechanical Engineer 

Location: Playa Vista, California (in-person, five days per week) 

Launch has changed the economics of space. Now it is time to return. 

Outpost is building the missing infrastructure between orbit and Earth: reusable vehicles that can bring payloads back from space and deliver them to a precise location within hours. We call it exologistics, space-to-Earth logistics at planetary scale. This is not a paper concept or a distant roadmap. Our system is in active development, with core technologies advancing toward flight readiness.

Outpost is building the logistics layer that makes space economically useful in a new way: the ability to move material from orbit to Earth quickly, reliably, and affordably. Over time, that supports point-to-point logistics, 10 tons of cargo, anywhere on Earth in an hour. It also creates the foundation for a reusable reentry network and enables new categories of space activity, including in-space manufacturing, supporting AI data centers, advanced manufacturing, and novel materials.

The Role 

Outpost's vehicles are unlike anything in the market - reusable, fabric-shielded, paraglider-guided Earth-return spacecraft. We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Structures and Mechanism team who will design and build the test and qualification process for spacecraft components and vehicles - from concept through execution and data analysis. This is a deep mechanical role with elements of instrumentation and data acquisition, and strong ownership over how our hardware earns its right to fly. 

This role spans the full engineering lifecycle - design, analysis, drawing release, build support, and test. You'll work alongside an integrated team and have meaningful ownership of your hardware from day one.   

What You’ll Do  

• Design, model, and fabricate mechanical components and test fixtures for spacecraft assemblies, including heat shield, payload containment, parachute and paraglider systems, and primary and secondary structure.
• Select materials, fasteners, and mechanical interfaces that satisfy flight boundary conditions.
• Produce engineering drawings and documentation for in-house build or vendor fabrication.
• Iterate designs rapidly based on test outcomes and anomalies, build, test, learn, improve.
• Set up and execute test, including apply instrumentation (load cells, strain gauges, displacement sensors, thermocouples, pressure transducers), and verifying boundary conditions prior to every test run.
• Troubleshoot mechanical test anomalies hands-on: trace failures to root cause, propose corrective actions, and retest to closure Participate in peer reviews and formal milestone reviews (CDR, TRR, etc.).

 Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 2-5+ years of hands-on experience designing flight hardware structures and mechanisms.
• Experience in hardware test development.
• Familiarity with spacecraft or launch vehicle components, or other space/aviation hardware where qualification and reliability are critical.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (Siemens NX, CATIA, SolidWorks or similar) and GD&T.
• Experience taking hardware from design to build to test in an aerospace or space environment.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, GD&T.
• Strong documentation habits and familiarity with following structured standards and guidelines.
• Familiarity with NASA test and qualification standards (GEVS / NASA-STD-7002, SMC-S-016) and ASME Y14.5 drawing conventions at a functional level.

 Preferred Experience 

• Active U.S. Government Security Clearance (not required, but beneficial).
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis using at least one of: LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Experience with deployable space structures and mechanisms (booms, solar arrays, antennas, or aerobrakes).

New Leaf Energy’s Contracts Specialist is responsible for managing the execution and administration of all clean energy project contracts. 

This position’s majority focus will be on NLE’s new Power Plants division (“IPP”). For the first six months, the person in this role will exclusively focus on that division, working closely with the Vice President, Power Plants to set up systems to manage EPC, O&M, and supply and purchase agreements in support of the first tranche of clean energy projects to be owned and operated by New Leaf Energy through its new IPP. Those projects will break ground in the second half of 2026.

In the longer term, this position will have additional responsibilities to support other project-level contracts executed through NLE’s development business, including equipment procurement and vendor management within our Engineering division. As conceived, this role will be focused about 80 percent on the IPP and 20 percent elsewhere within NLE. However, it is critical to the business that the person in this role maintains a continuous focus on developing systems and contract support for the entire organization, centralizing our management practices such that we can be flexible in seizing new opportunities and managing them well in the future.

This position may be filled out of our Lowell or Boston, MA or Oakland, CA offices. We value in-person collaboration and offer a hybrid work environment. Hybrid employees work in the office at least two out of every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and are free to work from the office or home on other days.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

Contract execution support:

• Support the drafting, negotiation of EPC, O&M, and supply and purchase agreements, amendments, and related project contracts;
• Manage the execution of such agreements, including all required exhibits and attachments, coordinating with internal and external parties necessary to approve;
• Assist in evaluating contractor and supplier proposals, bid comparisons, and commercial terms, including driving key terms reviews with shortlisted counterparties;
• Ensure scopes of work are clearly defined and aligned with technical requirements;
• Ensure vendor compliance with insurance and other requirements delineated before releasing work. 

Contract management:

• Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping throughout the project lifecycle;
• Support the IPP in managing, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with financing documents, EPC agreements, and project contracts.
• Support the management and procurement of all deliverables necessary to meet conditions precedent under the IPP’s financing facilities to facilitate loan draws.
• Support change order review, claims management, and dispute resolution;
• Assist the Senior Director of Construction (IPP) in incorporating and tracking key deal terms, including, but not limited to:
  • Liquidated damages (LDs)
  • Performance guarantees
  • Milestone schedules and verification
  • Payment structures

Risk identification and documentation:

• Identify potential contractual and commercial risks and escalate to senior team members;
• Maintain organized records of contract drafts, comments, and execution versions.

Continuous improvement:

• Support the development, use, and continuous improvement of standard templates, checklists, and contracting materials;
• Track current trends in impactful areas of risk to contracts, including supply chain and tariffs; monitor counterparty positions and seek to improve New Leaf Energy’s position in terms of shared risk.

Desired Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field;
• At least three years of prior experience in renewable energy EPC contracting, project development, equipment supply, or construction contract administration;
• Understanding of EPC contract forms, structures, and terms;
• Understanding of solar module and battery energy storage system supply agreements and long-term service agreements;
• Proven stakeholder management, communication, and organization skills;
• Familiarity with structured finance requirements and lender diligence processes is a plus, as is legal training or experience working alongside legal teams.

New Leaf Energy compensates all employees in three ways: market-competitive base salary, plus above-market variable compensation, plus an equity-like program such that all employees experience the benefits of ownership.  We use a data-driven and transparent methodology to calibrate compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable, guided by the New Leaf Energy compensation manual, which is available to all employees.

Under our compensation framework, the likely base salary range for this position in Oakland is $113,750 - $130,410. The on-target annual cash bonus associated with this position is an additional 10% percent of base salary. Your actual salary may be above, in, or below this range, depending on your location and experience. Our office locations in Lowell, Boston, Oakland, and Chicago all carry geography-based upward adjustments to the base pay range.

The Role 

As a Senior Navigation & Guidance engineer, you will be a core driver of the overall spacecraft GNC architecture. You will execute detailed trade studies to find new and novel ways to implement the spacecraft’s guidance, attitude control, and attitude and orbit estimation systems. In the first 3 months, you will support the development of the control infrastructure, from discrete filter design in the time domain to thorough analysis in the frequency domain. Additionally, you will support the development of autonomous orbit raise for a vehicle to MEO and the associated navigation to support an autonomous orbit raise. In the first 6 months, you will own and execute the Verification and Validation plan for the GNC stack, driving the system to flight readiness via a robust and thorough analysis of vehicle performance in both nominal and off nominal environments. This push for flight readiness will motivate thorough analysis, leading to updates to both the GNC stack and the K2 6-DOF simulation. The expectation is that all GNC team members commit code to the 6-DOF sim as well as owning a portion of the GNC flight software.  

In the first year, you will support launch and on orbit operations of the first full demonstration of the K2 spacecraft bus – the Mega. In parallel, you will support the block 2 upgrades of the GNC stack and 6-DOF sim, taking lessons learned from on orbit operations to increase the fidelity of the simulation and the vehicle performance of the GNC stack.  

Responsibilities 

• Work with other engineering leads to develop and validate a novel high level vehicle architecture 
• Develop novel algorithms for precise pointing of very large, flexible structures in earth orbit and beyond 
• Develop novel slewing algorithms of very large, flexible structures in earth orbit and beyond 
• Develop simulation and modeling tools to support vehicle and GNC trade studies. This includes mission design, controls analysis, and 6-DOF simulation development. 
• Contribute to building the GNC organization by recruiting, hiring, and mentoring other engineers  

Qualifications 

• Experience with GNC actuator or sensor sizing, selection, and system design 
• Experience with implementing attitude control and/or estimation algorithms on spacecraft 
• Experience with verification and validation of GNC flight software in an integrated environment, leveraging 6-DOF simulation and HITL testing. 
• Experience with Python, Julia, C/C++, or Matlab for algorithm development, implementation, and simulation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Your Mission

The Mechanical Engineer, Space Robotics owns the end-to-end development of assigned mechanical hardware for robotic spacecraft systems, including robotic arms mounted to satellite buses, satellite bus structures, solar array mechanisms, battery system enclosures, avionics packaging, mounting structures, fixtures, and ground support equipment. This role is not limited to desk-based design. It spans concept design, CAD, drawings, prototyping, fabrication support, hands-on assembly, integration, verification testing, failure investigation, and early-stage manufacturing support. Unlike traditional space vehicle roles where the structure simply needs to survive launch, you are designing for the round trip: launch vibration, the harsh vacuum of orbit, and the extreme thermal and mechanical loads of hypersonic re-entry and landing. You will own the structural architecture of the vehicle, moving rapidly from trade studies to detailed analysis, and finally to hands-on integration. We need someone with the deep intuition that comes from 15+ years of seeing hardware fly (and fail). 

Responsibilities 

• Structural Architect: Lead the mechanical design of the entire vehicle structure, including primary structure, interfaces to the deployable heatshield, secondary structures, and payload bay
• High-Fidelity Analysis: Perform and sign off on detailed hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS/FEMAP/NASTRAN). You will be the final check on stiffness, buckling, and thermal expansion compatibility.
• Drawing & GD&T: Create and approve high-quality manufacturing drawings with appropriate geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5) to ensure parts fit the first time.
• Build & Test Leadership: "Get your hands dirty" leading the assembly of your designs. Own the structural test campaign (static load, random vibration, shock, and deployment testing) to qualify hardware for flight.

About the Role:

You'll own the compute hardware from architecture through bring up — there's no hand-off to another team mid-stream. You pick the components, you design the board, you're the one powering it on and debugging it with the software team

• Design the compute boards that deliver ≥10 TFLOPS of processing power for onboard AI/ML inference and science data processing within the Relay Data Center, owning the hardware from schematic capture through board-level validation
• Architect and implement power delivery networks for high-complexity carrier boards, including 500W+ multi-rail designs with tight sequencing integrating GPU or CPU compute modules onto custom PCBs with high-speed coherent interconnects
• Define thermal interface requirements (power dissipation budgets, junction temperature limits, interface material selection) and hand off specifications to the mechanical team, who own the thermal and packaging solution
• Design and validate high-speed memory interfaces (HBM, DDR5), PCIe Gen 4/5 chip-to-chip links, and 10 GbE+ Ethernet connections to the payload network, along with board-level power monitoring, current limiting, and radiation upset recovery circuitry

• BSEE with 5+ years designing and bringing up high-speed digital compute boards, ideally with direct exposure to GPU, HPC, or modern accelerator platforms
• Proficient in high-speed digital PCB design principles: multi-GHz signaling, dense BGA escape routing on high layer count stackups, and signal integrity analysis through both simulation and measurement

What You'll Do:
As a Senior Electromechanical Engineer at Inversion, you will own the design, analysis, and qualification of complex electromechanical systems that operate in the extreme environments of space and atmospheric re-entry. About the Role:

As the Avionics Systems Lead Engineer within the Interplanetary Program, you will own revolutionizing the next generation of in-space compute and storage capability by leveraging the latest terrestrial technologies and challenging the status quo of how high-capability compute and storage are done in the space sector.

You will be responsible for delivering fully functional space-ready compute units to the flight spacecraft as well as setting up ground-based hardware twins for hardware in the loop and terrestrial based compute capability. You will be working closely with the science team to maximize capability by balancing the compute (CPU, GPU, TPU, etc..), memory, storage needs with the technical constraints of the flight spacecraft (power, thermal, EMI, mechanical, etc…). This role will also work closely in conjunction with the software team to bring up the core software infrastructure both on the spacecraft and on the ground side, and iterating with the software team to ensure the full compute system operates as intended in all environments.

This role will be a high responsibility, high autonomy, and high accountability role within a fast-paced, iterative environment, where rapid prototyping, early testing, and continuous learning are key to success. You will work hands-on across the full lifecycle, from concept and link budgets, to working with ground stations (i.e. DSN, KSAT, etc.) through hardware bring-up, environmental qualification, integrated testing, and flight readiness. This role partners tightly with avionics, optical comms, and spacecraft REs to ensure our RF subsystem integrates cleanly into the overall spacecraft bus. You will be responsible for solving engineering challenges that push the boundaries of RF technologies: designing for extreme distances measuring in AUs, low-SNR environments, radiation effects, and highly constrained mass/power budgets. Automating spacecraft operations to increase spacecraft capability and efficiency is also a key goal.

We are seeking a driven science payload manager to lead the delivery, integration, and operations support for a science instrument suite. As the Design Manager / Projects Manager, you will be the technical orchestrator of our expansion engine, responsible for managing the design lifecycle of ground systems across multiple metros in parallel. Amperesand is working to develop, build, test, and validate a ground-up redesigned next-generation solid state transformer (SST) and the power stage modules (PSMs) that convert power from medium-voltage AC to customer-facing DC output.  This internship will include building and testing of prototype units, root cause analysis of issues found, and design and changes of parts to fix or improve.   

Responsibilities: 

• UtilizeCAD software to create detailed mechanical designs.  3DX/Catia experience preferred but not required. 
• Model and design complex electro-mechanical parts, including plastics, sheet metal, insulators, magnetic components, and high-voltage connectors.
• Perform mechanical design analysisby means offirst principal calculation or simulation with commercial software, including structural FEA, thermal CFD, vibration, and fatigue assessments. 
• Solve packaging challenges involving electrical isolation, sealing, thermal dissipation, EMI/EMC shielding, and mechanical shock/vibration.
•  Perform prototype development, fabrication, assembly, and mechanical testing of new designs.
•  Support root-cause analysis of design issues in pilot or production builds and lead iterative improvements.
