The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is a US government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. Our FedRAMP program requires that anyone who is accessing customer data or metadata inside the Authorization Boundary be a US Citizen on US Soil. In order for us to triage and assign cases, it is necessary to be able to identify available resources at any given time. As the Senior Software Engineer for Scout Motor’s digital products, you will play a key role in the development and enhancement of our software products, from concept to deployment. The Role
We're looking for a software engineer to build the backend systems that power our sensor infrastructure — the services that ingest, process, and serve data from radar, RF, and other sensing systems at scale. You'll design and operate cloud-native systems on Azure, working alongside systems, hardware, and software engineers in a small team with high autonomy.
This is an early-stage role with outsized impact. You'll define architecture decisions, ship production code, and see your work protecting people's lives.
What You'll Do
- Design and build scalable backend services in Python that process and serve sensor data on Azure
- Architect cloud infrastructure for high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing infrastructure, and release processes
- Work directly with hardware and systems engineering teams to integrate software with physical sensor systems
- Define software architecture decisions as a foundational member of the team
- Mentor engineers as the team grows
- Travel periodically to other offices (LA, DC) and customer sites
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience designing and operating scalable backend systems in cloud environments (Azure strongly preferred)
- Track record of building and supporting production systems — you've been on-call, debugged outages, and shipped under pressure
- Proficiency with modern engineering practices: git, unit testing, CI/CD, code review
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or permanent resident) — required for access to controlled technology
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Retail Systems engineering team.
Own the technical vision, roadmap, and delivery of systems that power Alo’s store operations and omnichannel retail experiences.
Work at the intersection of retail technology, store launches, physical store operations, and platform reliability.
Partner closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure store systems are scalable, reliable, and operationally effective.
This role requires strong technical judgment, hands-on architecture experience, and proven people leadership in a retail/store systems context, with a pragmatic mindset for real-world store environments.
Responsibilities
Lead, grow, and coach a team of engineers (ICs and senior engineers), fostering a high-performance, ownership-first culture.
Recruit, retain, and mentor strong engineering talent; run performance reviews and career development plans.
Promote engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous learning across the team.
Own the Retail Systems technical roadmap and delivery, aligning priorities with business, store operations, and omnichannel goals.
Translate complex business and operational requirements into scalable, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions.
Provide architectural and technical leadership for store-facing systems including POS, inventory receiving, and omnichannel order fulfillment (ship-from-store, BOPIS, returns, cancellations).
Deep dive into technology requirements for store launches and expansions, including localization, regional compliance, taxation, and operational readiness where applicable.
Own technical readiness for store launches, including go-live planning, cutover execution, launch checklists, and post-launch hypercare.
Support date-driven store launches, including after-hours or weekend cutovers when required.
Partner closely with Retail Operations, ERP, Franchise Management, Store Operations, Product, and Finance.
Collaborate directly with store managers and store teams to understand operational pain points and deliver pragmatic, easy-to-adopt technology solutions.
Ensure systems work effectively in physical retail environments, including POS systems, store hardware, peripherals, and unreliable network conditions.
Partner with Operations to support training, rollout communication, and adoption of new store-facing tools.
Evaluate, RFP, and select external vendors and technology partners that meet both current and future retail requirements.
Own technical relationships with third-party vendors, including reliability, SLAs, performance, and risk management.
Assess vendor lock-in risks and ensure systems are designed with resiliency and exit strategies.
Establish and monitor service-level objectives (SLOs/SLAs); reduce order failures and improve MTTR.
Oversee monitoring, alerting, and observability across retail systems using tools such as Splunk and New Relic.
Own on-call rotations, incident management, postmortems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Plan and execute for peak retail events (promotions, holidays, major launches) and enforce change discipline during critical retail windows.
Drive best practices for testing, CI/CD, release management, and infrastructure-as-code.
Ensure accuracy, auditability, and reconciliation of inventory, order, and financial data across store systems, ERP, and order platforms.
Maintain strong security, access controls, and compliance standards for systems used in physically accessible store environments.
Manage technical debt while ensuring platform stability, security, and compliance.
Qualifications
9+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in an Engineering Manager or people-manager role.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong domain experience in Retail systems, store operations, and omnichannel commerce.
Experience delivering and operating store-facing systems such as POS, inventory receiving, and order fulfillment.
Experience integrating with ERP, OMS, loyalty platforms, POS systems, and third-party vendors.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, idempotency, retries, eventual consistency, and transactional patterns.

Responsibilities
Lead the technical design and implementation of store systems including POS, OMNI fulfillment (ship-from-store, BOPIS, cancellations, returns), and inventory receiving.
Act as a hands-on technical lead, setting architecture, coding standards, and best practices across the team.
Translate business and operational requirements into scalable, resilient, and maintainable technical solutions.
Contribute directly to development using Java, Python, NodeJS, and React across backend and frontend systems.
Design and build integrations with Shopify, ERP, OMS, loyalty platforms, and third-party vendors.
Support international store expansion by deep diving into localization, regional compliance, taxation, and operational requirements for new countries.

Own service reliability for store systems by defining SLOs, improving error rates, and reducing MTTR.
Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability using tools such as Splunk and New Relic.
Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident improvements.
Plan and execute for peak retail events (promotions, holidays, store launches) and support change discipline during critical windows.
Drive best practices for testing, CI/CD, release management, and infrastructure-as-code.
Ensure data accuracy, auditability, and reconciliation across inventory, order, and financial systems.
Maintain strong security, access controls, and compliance standards for systems used in physically accessible store environments.
Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and design discussions.
Qualifications
7+ years of software engineering experience, with experience leading technical design and delivery for complex systems.
Strong domain experience in Retail systems, store operations, and omnichannel commerce.

The Architecture team is a small group of very senior engineers reporting to our VP of Engineering Excellence, working broadly across the organization in collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Security. Your Role:

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. The Opportunity
As Staff Engineer, Desktop Platform, you’ll join the Postman Client Platform team and lead the technical direction of our Electron-based desktop application, used by over 40 million developers worldwide. You will shape its architecture, performance, and security for years to come.
This is an IC-first role. You’ll design and build every day while also serving as the technical anchor for our Desktop Platform. You will define its architecture, implement critical features, and mentor engineers, guiding how Postman evolves across desktop operating systems.
About the Team
The Client Platform organization provides the “paved path” for building, testing, and releasing Postman’s web and desktop applications. We own the frameworks, SDKs, build tooling, shared libraries, and infrastructure that product engineers rely on every day. Our platform is the foundation that hundreds of Postman engineers use to deliver features and improvements to over 40 million customers.
Within this group, the Desktop Platform team is responsible for Postman’s Electron integration and OS-level infrastructure. At Postman we value in person collaboration. We are in office 5 days a week for all roles based out of our hubs in San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Austin, Tokyo and London. For roles based in Bangalore, employees currently work in the office three days a week and will transition to five days per week by the end of the year. We were thoughtful in our approach which is based on collaboration and grounded in feedback from our workforce, leadership team, and peers. The benefits of our in office model will be shared knowledge, brainstorming sessions, communication, and building trust in-person that cannot be replicated via zoom.
